Another ta-da for the day:
Got my lesson plans posted for the week.
They are not as "complete" as Powers That Be would like... but you know, I sometimes wonder how closely the Powers That Be are actually checking... and if they DO check, at least they will know I did not plan to kick back and put my feet on my desk all week, LOL!
Tomorrow is another day.

I'm too tired and distractable to cuop.

Dh made me a lunch, we watched an episode of Newsroom and then I went to bed and slept for almost 2 full hours. Still groggy from that. Ds is here now for the night. He had a good weekend.

Wow, the nap felt so good that I did not want to get up.

Have started the laundry, got DS13 to do the dishes, and DS19 to make a pot of coffee. The boys are about to head out to the store and when they get back I will start dinner. Thinking I am going to brown the pork loin braise it and make fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli.

Now going to read an excerpt from Leigh Ann & Sean Duohy's book In a Heartbeat, they are the couple from the movie Blindside.

Sent grocery list to DS13 via text. ;)

TWO loads of clothes washed, third load put away (had been hanging to dry on ironing board).
Putting a load of sheets in now -- from weekend @ college town.
Tomorrow is another day.

Dinner sounds great, scattered!

I had a nap this afternoon; I couldn't even stay awake long enough to make headway on my current sudoku puzzle. . . I ended up not calling my parents b/c I slep longer than I thought I would; I think it is too late now.

I actually feel worse after my nap. That sometimes happens.

My day: cut up veggies for dd14's small group, went to church, went to SS - the class where dfriend R was teaching for the day, out to lunch to local cafe, back to church to pick up dd14 after her small group, home, chatted w/ dh and dfriend R for about an hour, slept, up - updated calendar and checked email. Dh has gone to Whole Foods for brats (and chicken sausages) to grill tonight. This has been a gorgeous day; I thought we should grill as I don't know how many more chances there will be.

Dh was out the door at 7 a.m. to run -- 9 miles today. He is training for a half marathon and would like to do better than he did in his last one.

I will jog tomorrow and will be out of sync with dh. I'll just go 2 days in a row. . . .

I need to get going on my teaching; I'd like to send the other teachers a rough draft of my hand out and notes by Tuesday evening. I have an hour to structure; it sounds like a lot of time, but it usually ends up being not enough time to do what I would like to do.

Just used the random numbers -only to get me 'going'. Listed things by number -individual things like -throw this away, pick up that, get tops off the drying bars, hang up tops. After I did the first couple the next 19 went zip zip. Now I'm cooking cauliflower for dinner. think we'll have grilled ham & cheese with that. I'm not really very hungry. Had a hot dog at the track and low cal snack bar.

DH has to go over on the other side just after dark to try to kill/knock down a bee's nest. Always makes me nervous because he is so allergic to bees. Making him take his epi-pen with him. The manager is going with him to hold a flash light.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Good afternoon everyone. DD10 has come and gone. We went to the 11:00 church service after she failed to get up in time for 830. Turns out she likes the 11 one better, so that is where we will be going from here on out. Then we ate a Chinese meal and got gas for the car. Then she wanted to go to Toys R Us to spend some get-well-soon money from my mom. After that we came back home and she watched the Lightning Thief and played with her new toys. Never did go to the zoo. While she did that I finished crocheting a rug and started trying to figure out a pattern that I have always wanted to use, but have always had trouble getting to work! I am doing the latter with 'scrap yarn'. My leg is still sore and oozing from the rooster attack.

Yesterday i had lunch with a friend and it turns out she has a tumor that has a 50% chance of being ovarian cancer and 50% chance of being benign.

Now that DD is gone, I have some things I need to get done:
1. fix lunch for tomorrow
2. fix and eat dinner tonight (cereal?)
3. clean floor in sewing room
4. clean floor in LR
5. wash hair
6. fold and put away laundry

Scattered, I don't do the cooking but thanks for the info. I don't think ddil will want to try the marinade.I think enough in the family like jerky that it is what she will do. We like deer and elk, especially elk. And ds will be hunting both those again this year. He isn't trying to be self sufficient, he just likes to hunt. I doubt seriously if any money is saved, considering the equipment he has bought over the years to make it more efficient or more fun. It's what they do around here. It is absolutely mind boggling to drive through town and notice the number of RV's parked in yards. Not to mention the ATVs.

I'm trying to make sure all my summer clothes are washed and ready to pack away. The weather is cooling down though so far not cold. But looking at the forecast I find that in a couple of weeks we are going to have highs in the 60's and lows in the 40's. Then we will be ready for sweat shirts and winter jammies. At least I will!

Good Evening, Ladies! :D I usually post a PODA in the morning, followed later with my ta da, but today my PODA didn't get written, so all I did was work on the ta da list. Here goes:
- put dirty clothes in the laundry basket
- downloaded some books
- read a book by Kahlil Gibran
- folded and put away socks and underwear, which I should have done last night.
- put out hot spots, made more, but put them out, too.
- cleaned 1 sink
- dumped trash in 1 bathroom
- DH vacuumed
- DH ran the DW (can I include him?) :?: ;)
- I re-read on an organizing book
- I decluttered
- I worked on notes for an upcoming appt.
- I read my devotional and said my prayers for myself and others.
- I fed my kitty cat who is asleep on my side of the bed.
- I set my dawn simulator for early morning since it's the day DH and his friend get firewood early. They work about 4 - 4 1/2 hours and hope to conclude the job by Sept. 28.
- I got out my morning clothes and was thrilled to find my holey Adidas pants, I save for house blessings, in my closet and I hadn't donated them after all!
- I planned out dinner.

Have a good night, Everybody! Hope you've all had a Happy Sunday, too. :D

Helia - It was great and there leftovers!

MamaP - no problem, I can relate a lot of people around here hunt deer and growing up in Alaska I am very familiar with the ATV's and hunting, up there the cost of meat is so high that a lot of families (including mine when I was growing up) survive on Moose, Caribou, and Fish through the winter. My DS's actually prefer wild game to store bought meat.

Had the DS's pick up the fixins for s'mores so now we are going to light a candle and get munchin... I use the candle to roast the marshmallows.
