Lucylee: if it is on you, it is the 'right' colour. You always look great!
(You might like to do an early highlight-like touch-up colour in whatever new colour you choose so the contrast between your old colour and your new won't be as great. Not sure how you'd go about doing that but it's an idea.)
I'm up and dressed again. Dinner is almost ready. I emptied the compost container after peeling the veggies. Also wrote out the new square recipe onto a recipe card since the printout of the photo from Rita's cookbook came out really dark. So dark I missed the drained instruction for the pineapple. It's a wonder they are edible!

Re: SANDY PREP SUNDAY
S2S -- with nice haircolor once again.
Still feeling guilty b/c I haven't heard from ddil. * sigh * But if I HAD heard from her, I'd be feeling exhausted.
No win situation w/ds gone every weekend.
OTOH -- they knew what they were in for when they signed up for this, right?
We'll call her in a little bit & see if she wants to eat supper with us, and we'll probably stop by and return a baby bottle that was left over here -- a good excuse to see dgs for a minute, you know!
Must get going. DH is already @ dmil's and I must follow so we can return her van.

Re: SANDY PREP SUNDAY
Got 1 load of laundry in the dryer, not enough to wash anymore, so laundry will wait until another day.
Put out some hot spots.
Finished the letter I was on, so I'm caught up with the 3 from the weekend and have no more to do.
Wrote DH a grocery list.
Wrote the 2nd draft of a story, to rest until Tues. when it gets proofread and hopefully good enough to mail off then. Am hoping.
Haven't crocheted. Might crochet during the world series.
Tidied some craft supplies on the spare room desk and put a folder of patterns away.
Found a slouch hat to make DD in stripes of black and white.
Am sleepy, so will fix a cup of coffee now, journal, and get that crochet done.
Keep safe in the path of Sandy, those of you that are there.
Kathryn, Glad you got a rest in.
lucylee, What color are you now?
Hope you don't feel guilty for no phone calls. At least you're not exhausted.
Lucky you, no phone calls.
Elizabeth, You Go, Girl!
CathyS, how many in your household do you do laundry for?
For me it is just DH and me. So I don't do laundry every day.
Twins' Mom, sorry about the headache.
Kathryn, Maybe missing the draining instructions kept the moisture in and the bars are more moist? Curious.
Have a nice later afternoon and evening, Everyone.

Re: SANDY PREP SUNDAY
The 2 roos have been picked up by the breeder. She wanted to see the rest of the birds and I got to show her the play house in the day light.
Then I went for a walk and then raked some leaves out of the yard and finished my walk to de-stress. I seemed to be over that drama; but when I was letting the rest of the birds out to range in the yard saw one of the young ones crawling out of a hidey hole and caught it with my leather gloves on saw that one eye was closed I'm not sure if it has a missing eye or if it's just an injury. Anyway glad it has survived will see if it's a keep or not. I do not remember that part when we had chickens as a kid maybe one of the folks delt with it before we knew about it.
Anyway it will be interesting to see how the birds like the pumpkin squash we grew if they can eat that big of seeds or not. I gathered worms for them on my walk as it had been raining.
Dson could not help me get camera photos to load up so need drivers
or what ? for that still.
Lunch was good canned chile and cornbread 1/2 orange as I was having a low; some left over corn bread will be for dinner with sausage cheese dogs.
I got the bed made and hubby's jeans through the wash as I missed getting to that last night. I forgot one pair however on the deck.

Re: SANDY PREP SUNDAY
YIKES!!! I have spent way more time than I had fixing my computer! All I wanted to do was to watch a mindless video on my break, but when I went to run it, no drive F. Now I have an F drive again. I have eaten dinner and made lunch for tomorrow and done more undecorating from the party. There is still more to go, but it is time to relax and crochet. I have a sweater done except for weaving in the ends.

Elizabeth - BWTG!
I had such a calm, refreshing and enjoyable day! Simply wonderful!
I was a teeny-tiny-bit ornery this evening. I threw a piece of bait out on FB to see if the local mayor would bite and he did!
He confirmed a rumor I heard about a new business being built across the street from MPB.
time for LO bath time routine. *POOF*

Re: SANDY PREP SUNDAY
I just spent 2 days trying to connect with someone on facebook. I couldn't see her, my fake fb name was too common so she couldn't figure out which was me, then when I looked for me using my other fake fb name, I still couldn't see myself. Finally found exactly what she should search for and she could see me but couldn't send a friends request because I had my settings set too high. Geez, makes you wonder if the FB is overvalued on the stock market! Or maybe I'm too paranoid (after all I have two accounts, neither under my real name!)
Got the dishwasher started and the other dishes washed up (except for the squares' pan which is soaking.) I've frozen about 3/4 of the remaining squares and left 4 for dh to enjoy over the next few days.
I need to empty garbage. Tomorrow isn't garbage day but things are piling up inside the house since we missed garbage day on Monday (we were still away then.) So I'll move what's here out to the garage and collect again on Thursday night to put out on Friday.
So I'll putter for a bit. I had a wicked headache over dinner but it went away for now with heat and extra water.

Re: SANDY PREP SUNDAY
Haven't had a chance to get back here today. Went to dgs13's hockey game. We both enjoyed that.
We decided together that we won't even try to get out of here on Tuesday. No matter what the weather is here (and it doesn't sound very good) it's bound to be worse the further we go toward Lancaster. Everyone was glad to hear that. Whether we stay here tomorrow night will depend on how bad it gets outside.
I can hear dh running the truck around the campground. He must be checking faucets. He turned off the water tonight (bless him -he waited for me to wash my hair and do up the few dishes -just so I didn't use a lot of the water in our holding tank). He did decide tonight that waiting for Wed. will make things easier on him. Me too. DS-A was especially glad to hear we won't be leaving Tuesday. He was really nervous about it.
Meant to stop to deposit checks tonight but forgot. So I'll have to run back to town tomorrow. Want to fill up with gas anyway. Down to $3.94 here.
Spent 3 hours up last night so hope I sleep better tonight. Think it was worrying me some about leaving. Called & cancelled our reservations for Tuesday but kept them for Wed & Thurs. We have tickets for a show at Sight & Sound Theater for "Jonah & the Whale" at 4:15 on Thursday.
Back is screaming at me so guess I'll quit the keyboard and try the bed. Have a good night everyone.

Re: SANDY PREP SUNDAY
Ivy, I am currently Natural Instincts Spiced Cider. In my closet sits the last known box of this color in existence in the free world. I bought 12 boxes -- all I could find on the internet -- a year ago... and now... this is it. It is so near my natural haircolor that my beautician couldn't tell I colored when I first started going to her. * sigh * I need a little bit of red, but not too much... and a little bit of brown, but not too dark... and this was just perfect. But they discontinued it.
LOL -- thanks for the vote of confidence, Kathryn. Highlighting is an idea... I'll keep that in mind. At least when it's time for December color, I'll be out for Christmas vacation. I won't have to return to school with Bozo-orange hair, if that's what happens!
I have a load of laundry hanging to dry, and a load in the washer, and I put away everything that was already dry.
I have taken my allergy shots.
We bought groceries & visited ddil & dgs for a few minutes.
(Ddil didn't seem irritated or anything that we'd been "unavailable" all afternoon. As dh said, she hasn't worked since Friday night, so maybe she wasn't so much at the end of her rope as she could have been.)
We ate supper.
I have talked to duncle (who fell off ladder @ my parents' house Friday
) -- he is NOT doing well and is going to call back specialist tomorrow.
I have talked to dcousin who might buy some football tickets from us for Saturday.
Still need to grade those papers.
I love that idea of "boo-ing" your neighbors, Twins! No one does that around here. Maybe I should start a new fad!

Dee, I join your loved ones in breathing a sigh of relief that you aren't leaving on Tuesday.
