Blessedw2 - Eeeek Friday? What's going on?

I watched 2 episodes of parenthood while LO took a nap. I probably should have been a whirl-wind during that time, but gave myself a pass. Last night was a long night and I expect tonight might be another. LO is still running fever. I had filled a prescription of antibodies for him to take after surgery and it was sitting unused in the refrigerator. I checked and it expires in 10 days and so I have started LO on it. I hate giving him so much (3rd round of antibodies since Oct 1) but he is having the strep symptoms again and the doctor office is closed until Monday. I could take him to ER (again) and/or AM/PM clinic to have them do another strep test.....which would cost $200 - $500 (my cost). Or I could just give him the antibodies on hand to get him through the weekend....... I have an appt with our family doctor on Monday. I'm going to ask him WHAT is going on. LO best friend keeps getting sick too. Can the kids in LO classroom keep passing strep around? How do we stop this insanity? I'm also going to ask if he can do a strep test on me to confirm I'm not a carrier.

Heating up a dinner for myself now.

Good afternoon everyone! Last night, I had a meeting at church and actually produced a good idea. Before that I did a LOL and picked up a library book on hold for me. The LOL still needs to be folded and put away, but the real bottleneck is my dryer. It dries ok, but makes a horrible noise, so I am afraid to run it when I am not there and cannot run it while I sleep. I did get my watch reset and I think I will remember how to do it in 6 months. This weekend I really need to deal with the pictures from the cuise and send them to my friends. I just found a Christmas gift for a friend!!!

I have confirmed that I will be alone over Thansgiving, it is XDH's turn with DD10. I was invited to go with some friends to FL, but cannot afford it. I have decided to cook a nice Thanksgiving meal anyway. I like turkey and dressing and rice pilaf and I can use it as a lunch at work.

OKay: I am crocheting several things. My portable project is a baby sweater for charity, it is almost done. I am also doing a blanket for one of DD10's stuffed animals, rather boring all double crochet ad infinitum. I am also doing some things for a yarn bombing at the botanical gardens. That is fun, because I can pretty much do anything I want!

Aw, too bad LO is sick again.

I spent 4 hours out on a jobsite helping DH. I haven't been out working with him for a while, it was to see how he manages with his hip and shoulders...

I am so far behind in everything.....

Trying to run around and pick up some messes. Finished a pile of filing that's been in the office for week. Ran the dishwasher before I got out the door this morning, emptied it when I got back. Sorted laundry, way behind on that too.

Tomorrow is our memorial service for DBiL. I have to bring a big casserole of something....will have to run to the store tonight or early tomorrow morning...

Will get back when I can.

I cooked pumpkin up for the chickens this morning. That was fun plus it warmed up the kitchen! Then I got my s2s done & headed outside swept off the driveway and got the leaves out to the hen pen. I did some knitting & fixed my lunch. Then it was back outside and I raked the front yard for my exercise today.

Yeah! The weekend is here! I just registered for the yarn bombing. Now I am going to go to a 'sit and stitch' at a yarn store. I guess I am obsessed with crochet. At least it is not a very expensive addiction, 4 big skeins yesterday for less than $12.

nothing bad - I just feel like it was a weekend yesterday... I have so much I want to do but no energy lately but thank you!

I bought dmom two games she had asked for as ours are so old and need replacing - so I ordered Elfer Rous (11 game - mine is from my grandparents and is about 40 years old but I have fond fond memories) and mensch ärgere dich nicht (like sorry) for the holidays. Very popular when I was young in the family

Blessedw2 - those games sound like fun activities for holiday gatherings.

Elizabeth - I had never heard of "yarn bombing" and looked it up. Very interesting. Will you join a group project or do one of your own creation?

DH came home and handed me the pickup keys. He said "you have something waiting for you in the pickup. Go ride around and enjoy it". What a sweet fella and i appreciate his effort to give me a treat and a break. LO stood at the door and cried when I left, but I knew he would be okay. I rode around by myself for about 20 minutes and enjoyed the quiet. There was a huge DDPepper along with a cup of ice cream for me in the pickup......but I wasn't hungry so I dumped them both on side of road (without telling DH). I came back with renewed knowledge that this is where I belong right now and a bucket full of determination to do my best.
