Re: Saturday Action
Had a wonderful day with Dbro. Went for ride in the new car and then I made a yummy pot roast that "my boys" gobbled up.
After he left, I took the instruction book and was able to get the car and phone to talk to each other so I can make calls while driving. (Just like Peyton Manning does in the car commercial.) Also figured out how to use the XM radio. DH sat out in the car and listened to the Prairie Home Companion.
I've baked and peeled the sweet potatoes for tomorrow's pot luck. I will reheat and mash them tomorrow for the dinner. I think if I heat up the chicken stock it will help to warm them, too. I'll put them in a casserole dish so they can be kept warm in the oven during church.
Time to hit the hay. See you all tomorrow.

Re: Saturday Action
I did rest well. Dh and I went for the pizza (I offered to go because he's sick but he insisted.) We watched a tv show with dinner and then I started in on writing the travel portion of the Christmas newsletter. Five pages later (I kid you not), I'm done. I honestly can't see what to cut but the newsletter will be long. Currently it is at 8000 words and 2600 of that is travel so I'm going to have to edit somewhere. Africa was just so interesting, I hate to cut anything.
Dh has been in bed for 2 hours now. I had a Dr. Pepper for dinner so that's probably why I'm still going strong. But I need a good night's rest since tomorrow is long for me.
