Since I last counted cards, I'm up to having 13 of 27 completed; not as many as I'd like to have done by now, but OK, particularly as dinner won't take much time to finish with the main course in the crock.

Next up:
• put whites into the dryer
• sweep the kitchen/breakfast room/dining room
• go through the mail (presuming it's here; our mailman gets here awfully late -- we must be the last street on his route)

Oh, my goodness, OKay! We did not have such extreme trouble when we accidentally flushed a (cloth) diaper when dd was small.

Nice to be back and see your bright, shining (type)face, Harmony!

Regarding ring resizing: I've resisted having mine done because I keep telling myself I'm going to lose this excess weight; meanwhile, I wear them on a chain around my neck.

This congestion is really getting to me. I wish I had some eucalyptus tea. (I don't suppose I could reach into the computer & have lynlee hand me some? ;) ) Failing that, I've grated some ginger into my cup of Tet ley.

BBL, I hope!

Have had a good day. Got some more gifts bought and wrapped. Will finish shopping tomorrow if our "wintry mix" isn't too
bad. Also need to get the car inspected this week.

Nancy, glad you saw the show so you know what I was referring to!

Harmony, could you wear your ring on a chain as a necklace?

Tree is not up yet, but will start that after supper. I can see the day coming when a small tabletop tree is enough!

Saw lots of pretty things at W-mart. But I'll like them better if I can get them half-price after Christmas. :) Had fun at thrift store. Made a donation, then found 3 items to bring home with me for under $2.50. Cheap things bring me the most joy!

What a day - first Park Clean up for an hour - then a couple hours doing housework and then showered and redressed to go up the hill. I thought it would just be a decorating party for the church but there was also the Women's Meeting in there. Felt really out of it as they didn't explain anything. Maybe if I go more often, I'll get to be in the know.

Now I have a friend coming for soup in an hour. Gotta sweep and swipe the kitchen floors and put clean dishes away.

Hi all,
Sorry for not checking in lately, but I do visit J & C regularly to keep my prayers going for requests in the village.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, I was missing Indiana so much. She was always so wonderful in describing her dinner preparations and family celebrations. I really miss her daily posts.

Which reminded me of this: Moderaters - I sent a check for $35. to Indiana for the site costs a month before she passed. It has never been cashed. I remember discussion from Emptynester about the niece handling the estate and cashing the checks eventually, so I never stopped payment on it. However, as of today, it still has never been cashed and I'd like to resolve the matter for my peace of mind. Have any of the Mods ever heard from the niece? Has anyone else's checks been cashed? Thanks for letting me know about this so I know how to proceed. You can PM me or post info.

Have a great day!

OK, starting another round.

Done:
x Heb class
x home to pick up dd14
x dd14 to school for band rehearsal

Supper was sort of on your own tonight since the girls and I were all leaving the house at different times; me at 4:50, dd17 at 5:10, dd14 at 6:10. . . .

Next:
-finish menu planning and groc. list
-groc. store
-put away
-take out garbage and generally re-tidy the kitchen
-pick up dd14 at 8:30

I've been home from work about 45 minutes. Walked the dogs already in a very light misty rain, and ate leftovers from last Friday's dinner out for supper. DH bowls tonight so will be home late.

Boring at work these days...not much going on. I did some temple stuff - mailed a report, worked up another report, lots of emails, made a very DPC that needed to be done, and sent a host of people emails trying to find out about something that happened 10 years ago at temple. Also set up an appointment for Honda Pilot servicing with loaner, and left a message about scheduling a massage.

I don't now if I posted this morning that I slept very, very poorly last night - hips aching every way I turned. I felt like I was awake every hour, and dh was aware of me tossing and turning. I think I'll take a benydryl tonight which will improve my sleep.

Got the previous done.

Glad you could drop in, sher! Indiana was one of the world's great people, wasn't she?

DH and dd are at hockey practice; I stayed home to nurse my cold/try to get things done. Water is on the stove to cook frozen corn on the cob -- maybe it'll even come to a boil soon. (Better stop watching! ;) )

Nancy, my girls love playing in the leaves -- we can get a good-sized pile neck-high on dd! The pile is all raked out to the tree lawn, now, though, for the city to vacuum up, so no more playing here.

Twins, I imagine sometime in April, you'll be missing these "boring" days.

helia, the one bit of shopping I did on Black Friday was to go to the grocery -- I figured that since the day before Thanksgiving is probably the busiest day of the year at the grocery, it's probably the one store that isn't busy on Black Friday. I think I was right, too -- we didn't have to wait for a cashier at 5 pm on a Friday! :o

Next up:
• put clean clothes away
• check e-mail
• make dinner as possible (still waiting on that water!)

dgd2 has a Miffy here too. I have a request for more doll clothes for Christmas as the Miffy and all others like to get dressed up and (also) put to bed.

today
sheets are on the line. weather is heating up - summer officially starts on sunday.
I need to move - or decide if I'm going out today or not - either way I need to move.
I think I am declaring a mostly home day.
need to ring for a vet appointment. Annual cu and jabs needed.
