Home again. scattered, I'm glad you have plans in the works, good thinking to be looking forward, not back.
Very long afternoon with dmom - dermatologist was running very late - we were in the office an hour and a half before we were seen! Of course, dmom was telling me she didn't really need to be there anyway. He did take off some "precancerous" spots on arms and face, tho. But with going after dmom, trip to dr office, time spent there, getting her home, then back home myself it was an all-afternoon deal.
Tried to call social worker for dsis (dsis had approved her talking to me) but she was unable to pick up even tho she had indicated I should have her paged. So I left a message and will try to call in the a.m. Dsis did contact nephew also today.
Also met with rabbi this morning and then worked until 1:30.
So all in all a decent, but tiring day. Going to walk my ddogs, then read awhile....dh is at the meeting that I "should" have attended tonight. Tomorrow is quiet, except for my company Christmas party tomorrow p.m.

I have just finished the 2nd of two boring papers I had to read at payroll. However, I am thankful for them, because I am getting paid at payroll for it. I have about 15 minutes until it is time to go. Tomorrow, i have a doctors appointment that will keep me from going to lunch with friends, durnit.
scattered: My 'menu planning' is somewhat different from most. I decide things to cook and get the groceries for them. I cook then stock the freezer. I don't necessarily know what I am having each day. Every night, I grab something out of the freezer (including the side dishes), stick it in a microwaveable plate, and that is my lunch. Dinners are often things like noodle soup and microwaveable chicken pot pie.

Oh, Man, a case full of Rolo's, I'd be in trouble for sure!
(Scattered) Hoping for a good interview.
(Blessed) sure hard to live with these men of ours. Worry over them makes us crazy, doesn't it.
Sigh...busy busy day here. I got laundry sorted, 2 LOL for tomorrow, the last of the afghans and blankets washed and hung up; 1 LOL folded into drawers. Bedroom tidied up from all that.
A lot of kitchen work done. I went to the bank, stopped at W-M to return something and pick up stuff I needed.
Desk duties were heavy, not getting stuff there handled, but phone calls and county calls made, half an hour listening to customer gripe about helper not coming back (on his own time for his own thing with her) to finish...check written and handed out to someone..just a lot of stuff which took too long.
And in between all that I managed to get my quilt in the frame.
Still to do: wrap packages and get them in shipping box ready for tomorrow; make lunches; some ironing to do that won't wait, long tablecloth from Thanksgiving because I need to hang it up and get it out of the way, stuff like that; lunches for tomorrow 3 this time.
Hard day. Bad Karma around here isn't helping, hurt feelings and all that...long story, just really understand blessed's day today. I'm having the same.

Ohhh... (((HUGS))) all around... sounds like there is plenty of stress and frustration to go around.
I was just in shock to hear (((
scattered)))'s news... but then very glad to hear about the upcoming interview!
And -- what? Peanut M&M's are NOT a good source of protein???

Well. I'll be...
I LOVE those pretzel-Rolo turtles. Student gave me some for a Christmas gift one year.
I posted a little more in my Members Only thread... b/c I am paranoid about talking too much about work here. Too easily identified, I think.
But I did not have a bad day today. Everything went fine and I'm beginning to (maybe) see the light at the end of the tunnel. (Of course, there IS a good chance it is a train... * sigh * )

Good Evening, Villagers!
Scattered, Good luck on the interview!
My Ta Da:
- Walked 30 min.
- Had lunch & supps
- Sorted the mail.
- Rested a couple more times; was tired.
- Rinsed & dried new long johns. Wonderful cotton knit in black from Shop National on sale. LOVE them! ♥
- Got out dishes and silverware for DH's crock pot chili
- Moved baby yarn totes to walk-in closet and moved the basket of baby yarn back into the bedroom, to sit on the basket chest.
- Logged 4 stories in a data base for work.
- Put pens into 2 mugs, which match, which hold a lot, and we don't use these mugs; if at all. Might as well use them decoratively!
- Put away some autumn decor, moved around some photos and a base, got out some Christmas things.
- Ordered 4 spiral bound lined journals with my Christmas money. (I journal a LOT!)
Not feeling so well. Have a 99.9* fever, so took Naproxen and will say goodnight after I check the J & C thread.
Goodnight, Everybody! TTFN!

Productive day.
* Exercised
* Visited my senior friend
* Picked up the ribs on the last day of the sale (and we were down to one meal left in the freezer)
* Non-Profit Housing Board Meeting (it is a Senior's apartment building.)
* Board Christmas Tea for the Residents
* Nap
* Put stickers all over the kitchen calendar and wrote in all the events until the end of the month. (We use Google calendar and I have a purse calendar as well but this gives a very obvious, visual, reminder of how busy we are with special events between now and the 31st.)
* Had dinner, watched a couple of tv shows with dh and ds
* Gave ds a big/long hug that he needed
* Tidied up the dinner dishes
* Did the weekly kitchen chores while watching the Behind the Scenes show about Downton Abbey
* Prepared the ribs in single meal packets and popped in the freezer
* Got the garbage and recycle out to the curb
* did a load of laundry
* Did some thinking about the grace for the dinner dh and I will be attending with the seniors. A board member goes each year and this year it is my turn.
I'll do one day's worth of devotions so I don't fall further behind, and then head off to bed.

I so didn't realize just how long it's been since I last posted. Not that I've been non-stop busy, but there were days I didn't even turn on the computer.
First I want to say OKay, it was too bad about the court date being postponed again. It's hard to get mentally prepared for something then have plans go a different way.
And to Scattered, I'm so sorry your meeting ended your job; but happy for you that you already have another interview and school plans in the works. Maybe this is the opportunity for an even better future!
Blessed, ((Hugs)) for the stressful day you had. Worry about someone we love comes to the surface in different ways sometimes. I know it is easy to feel frustrated and out of sorts.
((Twins)), prayers for you, your dsis and family.
Well we had two dr. appointments and a blood test this week. I've done a lot of focus cleaning this past week. And in between some shopping. We made a trip to the local Boy Scout office to get a cap, belt, neckerchief and book for dgs6 whose birthday is tomorrow. Dh wants to get the decorations out tomorrow and is talking about putting lights on the roof of the house. It's only one story, but will involve using a step ladder. I'm worried because his balance hasn't been good these last couple of years. He even has trouble getting up from the dining room chairs. So if it's too hard, maybe ds#2 will help on Sunday.
Found out that dgd17's high school band was in Orlando to march in a parade last Saturday. Disney paid for the band to be there and gave them tickets to the park afterwards. It will be televised on ABC Christmas morning. Ddil said their band is by the Brave Float.
The pretzel candy sounds delicious.
Helia, feel better quickly. Thinking of everyone here; prayers and ((hugs)) all around.

Sorry to see some of you have had a harrowing day. Hugs all around.
I did some cooking and got some more Christmas cards ready to mail. Thought I was done with that until I received a list of addresses at church on Wednesday night. Wasn't going to send cards to people I see all the time at church, but with the addresses so nicely handed out, I can't resist!
Had a 40 minute nap this afternoon, then a 2 hour "nap" this evening, then coffee, and I'm still yawning. Must be time to catch up on lost sleep!
I did see Duck Dynasty last night and the night before. It reminded me of the Red Green Show a little. That family is laughing all the way to the bank I bet. The best part is at the end when they pray, eat, and sum up the lessons from all their previous foolishness! They just don't sound Southern enough for Louisiana...

Woo hoo! All my grades are now posted in computer!
Whew. I can breathe again.
Now... if only I corrected that story in school np. LOL... I know I corrected the headline, but might not have changed the story. * sigh * It had to do with sports team's ranking in state and it's going to look ridiculous if I did not get it corrected both places.
Oh well. Won't be the first time I've looked ridiculous.
