I had bought material in early Sept. to make a curtain for dhs garage. Before I got started, dd2 wanted me to make curtains for her store. There were 6 panels and I spent the better part of a week making them. They are for her party room. The walls are out of some weird material, so that the holes will need to be drilled for the gadget that holds the curtain rod. Well guess what? The curtains are folded and sitting on a shelf. I have not complained about that to anyone IRL, but decided to vent here. Dhs H arley D avidson material sat on the dining room table until I put up the Christmas tree. Then I moved it to the R aggedy A nn room. Every. single. time. that I looked at it, I would think tomorrow. Finally tomorrow came today. I spent all afternoon but I am done.
Today dh worked on the bathroom. Both upstairs bathrooms have a wall I guess you could call it that starts above the shower doors and goes to the ceiling. The way it is made, is that it entirely encloses the shower, when the doors are shut. It's probably about 2 ft. Anyway dh cut out and removed all but 8 inches of the one in the master bath. Then he framed up that area so that he can install a light. He thought he could run the wire off the switch that runs the fan. He got it done and realized it was not going to work. He is just thrilled
that now he will have to go up in the attic and wire off the fan. Once he gets that aggravation out of the way, he can start putting up the concrete board on the shower ceiling and walls. He is anxious to get to the tile laying and says once he starts, he will work on it after work.
I think we have decided to paint the walls in the master bath, burgundy. They will be tile part way up and painted above that. In the main bath we will paint them navy. We have spent our lives painting rooms safe colors but have decided to be bold this time around. My dfriend that moved away was telling me that there was a new house built next to them and the lady invited her to look at it. They had a bathroom with navy walls. People had told the lady that it would make the room look small and dark. Dfriend didn't agree with that at all. She really liked it and she has always painted rooms off white. So with her encouragement, we are going for it.
Just took a dose of Airborn. Was fine one minute and the next was sneezing and sniffling.
