Hi everyone! I tried the second of the 3 new recipes I made Monday - birthday chicken. It was easy and tasty, which is good because there are 7 more meals of it! This afternoon I am taking foster cat Lara for her rabies shot. Church has dinner on Wed, but I am not sure if I am going. Chicken fried steak just is not my favorite. Tonight I don't have enough for a LOL strangely enough, but I will put away the stuff on the drying rack. I should definitely pay some bills, update Quicken, and balance the checkbook. One of my kitchen counters and a kitchen chair are still not done, but overall is ok. Now I am going to switch emphasis to the living room. DD10's Christmas stuff is still there (because I don't have storage in her room). The coffee table needs serious work. There is a box from XDH's house of stuff he found of mine. I need to find a home for the crochet magazines I inherited (also limited by storage concerns). And finally, I need to get the Christmas tree to the shed. The Christmas tree is down, just sitting in its box.

cowinkiw: Her teachers have seen the same behavior. Two of her classmates came over and she had a meltdown. One said, "That's just the way she is." She is being evaluated for special ed. During the last month of pg, she did not grow at all, I think something went wrong then. I also had to have my gall bladder removed under general anesthesia in the 6th month. It was the pg from Hades. FWIW, I twiddle my toes all the time, leading to holey socks. At least it doesn't disturb others.

Not a lot of progress today. I need to buckle down and finish off the annual report although I'm still missing two reports (one of them is financials.)

And now there's a problem with the treasurer so there will be an emergency meeting about that.

Hi everybody!

While I work, my dh cleans the house, does the dishes, does all the cooking and grocery shopping and he will run me a bath if I call when I'm leaving work.

The only thing he won't do is laundry. Today he dusted and did a fast S wiffer.

He's been retired for almost a year and I'm loving it. :D
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.

CathyS - Sounds like great teamwork!

After picking LO up from school we visited DParents. I took DDad a card shuffler and he was thrilled with it. He likes to play solitaire but they can't shuffle the cards anymore so I have been shuffling them every time I visit them. Now he can shuffle them whenever he wants. It makes me happy to be able to do something for him. He is so fragile. Each day/visit is a gift.

I met our new neighbors today. It appears we have much in common. Same age. We both find ourselves raising children again (hers are 12 & 14). Same love for country life. We both txt' and became FB friends within minutes of meeting.

Meanwhile, as DH took a shower, I dumped waste baskets from rooms in the house. (Garbage day tomorrow.)
Meanwhile, as I worked on planning out my month-to-month writing for the year, DH got in firewood and watched TV Sports Talk Shows.
Meanwhile, as DH watch his shows and I left my "organizing-writing job", I fixed hot coffee and emptied the DW.

I have June through March 2014 to go. Meanwhile, it rains and our air inversion is gone. :P
Meanwhile, as I can't seem to get the bathroom pump hand soap off my hands well, leaving my hands red and cracked, I keep putting on Lubridern hand lotion.

Meanwhile, as I sit here sipping my delicious coffee, I ponder, "Do I have any laundry to do today?" I'd better check that out, when I'm done with my coffee.

Meanwhile, when I'm at my laptop, I seem to lose all track of time. I just poked my timer. :!:

Ta Da:
-s2s, shampoo, conditioner
-Quietude, prayers, Novena and journal
-Walked 1/2 hour
-Am sticking to my diet
-Helped sort mail
-Made the bed
-Got out a.m. clothes
-Had a good cry
-Made a business phone call
-Emailed my therapist

To Do:
-plan the rest of the writing out.
-when I'm done planning, I'll hot spot the dining room table, where I'm working.
-feed the cat, give her fresh water, help with dinner
-set the dawn simulator
-read on my book about writing
-read on my Novel & Short Story Writer's Market Book
-floss, go to bed

I did a quick cuop on and off this morning and afternoon, but hadn't posted yet. I hope everyone's having a Happy Hump Day. The "Meanwhile, on Wednesday" starter-upper was GR8! :!: :D

Not much time to CUOP

Dee - feel better soon.

I am almost back to normal, I would say I am at about 90%. This is so awesome, usually when I get a nasty cold like that it lasts for 2 weeks at least and settles in my chest. Today, I have a slight (and I do mean slight) cough, slightly more then normal sneezes, and have had to blow my nose maybe 5 times, no aches or pains, no head pressure, no rattling and wheezing. I know that people who actually see the amount of vitamins I take every morning think I am going overboard (15 pills not including my allergy pill and NSAID) but this crud has been putting people DOWN for weeks, and I am almost recovered after 4 days. :D 8-) :D

Had a good day today, although I discovered that the 2nd mortgage paperwork I sent for the refinance was the wrong paperwork, had to call the 2nd mortgage co and now have to wait 5 business days. :? Got to talk to INE on the way home. :P

Came home to find that DS20 swept down all the cobwebs like I asked and swept the floors... the LR is only kinda tidy, but better than when I left. DS14 pooper scooped the cat box and added litter, and he cleaned the kitchen... with lots of whining and grumbling. :|

Now I need to get up and make dinner (kielbasa stir-fry), Mix up a batch of fabric softener, fluff and fold the LOL in Ernie, start a LOL of towels, work on ITD 110 (Internet Design), and cut-out card file... maybe a little ambitious but I am just feeling really good and want to get things accomplished.

Taking a break here.

Interesting about the rocking / swinging stuff. DMom wrote in my baby book that I was high strung. I don't know why she said that, but I figure she was probably right. I jiggle my legs all the time, especially when I sit back here at the computer. I rock in our big chair in the family room and love the feeling. I rock myself gently back and forth as I'm going to sleep at night. I bounce myself back and forth in the porch chair that has the flexible frame. It doesn't rock but it moves back and forth a bit. I sound kind of weird when I write it all out!

Got my new machine drum ordered, was  at the price I had to pay, $240+ and she said it was the most expensive one in the book. We've had this machine for about about 7 years and have never replaced it. Toner, yes, but never the drum. They are supposed to deliver it tomorrow.

I tried to clean out DH's end table and gave up on that. Never saw a drawer so full of nuts and bolts...I took that stuff all out and now I need a couple plastic containers for the rest. So I started work on the dining/sewing room. Have all my quilting supplies sorted and repacked into the bin and I cleaned out the 2-drawer rolley cabinet I keep sewing supplies in. That thing fits under the machine table. So, now it's all neat and the table is cleared off. The machine table cover and topper is in the wash.

Yay for progress!

Just a quickie....
Did you know most people rock to the beat or rhythm of their own heart? That's one reason it makes us feel good. And if you're mad at something you tend to rock harder and faster.

Mean while ... I was thinking things were going so smoothly well not so much; h. decided he wanted to change things up and I was to come picked him up at dd's he lets me know 1/2 hr. before dgson was coming home on the bus and I was in the process of baking cookies. So I told him to chill out over there for a while. I said it would be nice to get a notice [24 hrs. would be nice] if he wanted to change up the routine here.

So I open up the notes from school dgson has not been doing as well as we thought. sigh so no bball practice for him tonight talking out of turn has gotten him in trouble. Sort of got a handle on home work and this pops up. Home work home work home work so when is a kid supposed to be getting exercise? Good thing dgson is not heavy.

I took a walk it was a cold breeze but warm enough to finally consider a walk it was good to release some stress.

The snow is mostly gone here yea for warmer temps. and thawing happening outside! Evening chicken chores are done now.
