bright sunshine here today.
2nd load washing to go out shortly
DBro and his cattle are all ok. Have a bit of grass to pick at even - River is higher than last time, but much lower than the biggest that people know about - but maybe not the biggest there has ever been.
DM and a huge district has no phone. (DBro say police are off the air)- edit to add no electricity for days either
DSisY has no ph but its diverted to her mobile.
Eating breakfast here. I need to move - I am thinking of going out today - need to check local road closed list.
I had my 2nd night of things done by 10. Main lights off and into bbr.
I started making up a personal year long goal sheet. There are just weekly squares so I'm not sure how it will work. Maybe - adding legs to a star/flower * each time I do it. Best practice would be a 7 petal flower. I did that one other time.
Kathrine - there's a lot to think about with downsizing/relocation. Prayers that something great for you and DH turns up and the way ahead suits you both.
Twins - I lost my house key from a keyring ( it was a loose ring) outside between the front and back door - when I was still having to try and lift the door to lock it. I have no idea how I did that, and searching hasn't found it. We need cowinkles St Andrew. Another time I lost the car house keys and eventually they turned up in a box I'd drop dog leads in right beside front door. big sigh. Hope you find yours soon.

Lynlee, I'd forgotten about Cowinkie's St Andrew, although I did keep reassuring dh that if he stopped seeking the keys they would find him.

Wow, Lynlee, thank goodness your brother's animals are not in difficulty. So sorry your mother is having so much inconvenience. Good job on bedtime routines.
I've minded my rotation schedule today and decluttered in the laundry area and cleaned in closets.
A couple errands.

Re: Motivated Monday
Lynlee: had I not got sick I'd be on my way to Tasmania right now. The cruise we were to be on has had miserable weather almost the whole way and when I read the posts to dh from our friend, he's glad we missed it.
We'll be back to Australia in the next 12 - 15 months, though, because we'll want to visit ds once he gets settled. We'll either arrive in February by ship or fly in on our way to Singapore in April. Or both! (Depends on how much I miss ds.)
I was supposed to be writing tonight but decided to read about my experience on Table Rock as I'll be using it as a sermon illustration and ended up reading each of my travelogs from the trip last year. Still can't pinpoint where I picked up the hepatitis. There are 4 probable spots - lunch in Ghana (it was a 4 star resort so should have been fine), walking through the market in Gambia while they were cleaning out the drainage system (most likely), lunch in Cape Verde (least likely) or eating bread from the market in Morocco.
Dh has done up the dishes for me. I need to eat something else before bed since I haven't eaten enough yet today. Since I can't exercise right now, I put myself on a strict eating plan today. I must still be digesting yesterday's meals because it wasn't odious at all thanks to dh being flexible on dinner and having a frozen meal while I had a single serving of my beef and rice chowder.

I am beginning to get a small small small idea of how Dee must feel when she deals with Medco poor service. I have now sent the same information at least 6 times. It is a copy of the receipt of payment that they sent me which clearly details what was purchased. I don't know if they are intentionally being incompetent or are so super busy that they can barely remember their own names.
After school we visited DParents and enjoyed some treasured time together. They have put DDad on a couple different meds and I think one or more of them might be perking him up.

C. I.
Been crocheting for baby gdg today, been doing some house blessing with DH, too, and got his grocery list done for tomorrow. The hats I've been making today turned out nicely.
I did 3 flowered headbands yesterday and a pink and white dress in the 2-day period before that. It's so much fun to crochet for a new life, for with a new life there is hope and happiness. It's our futures when babies come into the world. ♥
I hope everyone had a Motivated Monday!
Take care and have a good sleep and Terrific Tuesday, too!

Re: Motivated Monday
Well, I am sorry to say, my motivation never really arrived today. After school we had a 30 minute faculty meeting that was nothing but a sales pitch for a legal service/identity theft protection service, which might be a good thing, but it just made us all MAD as heck that we were required to stay for such as that...
and I doubt if anyone took them up on the offer, which incidentally was a TODAY ONLY kind of deal...
Came home, went to dmil's w/dh, he went to dparents' house w/me, then we ate Lean Cuisine (him) & Hot Pockets (me) for supper.
I am just exhausted and miserable. I developed a headache around 2:00 pm which has only just now begun to let up... and I think I am going to bed.
I've talked to dmom and ddad.
I think my work here is done.
Ddad is doing sooo well, but still talking about how he "may not do as great" when he starts the stem cell transplant...
That whole procedure still makes me nervous as all get out... but I am not going to think about it tonight. No one is getting a transplant TONIGHT. Tonight, lucy just needs sleep.
Dmil loses her keys quite regularly. (I'm not sure if that's supposed to be reassuring to you or not, Twins!
) She did lose her truck keys somehow between the truck in the carport and the house, 4 steps away. She has lost her house keys a couple of times in the last few months. It drives dbil crazy. We got her a stretchy key ring to attach to her purse handle. She didn't like that.
I shouldn't talk. I keep ALL my keys on one ring. That means I cannot possibly leave school (or anywhere else) without them. It also means if they go missing, my entire life is in shambles. House/car/truck/school/post office box/EVERYTHING. So I don't know if that's smart or not. Dmil has everything separate, I think.
Anyway, you're probably right -- leave them alone and they will come home. Hope TwinsDad can relax a little, but I would be frantic, too, if I lost mine.
So sorry about your dgds' teacher, Lilac. Such shock for all in their school community.
Yes... I think I'm going to bed. Nothing to grade tonight, no one to babysit... it's a good night for a quilt and a magazine.

Re: Motivated Monday
No bb practice bc of a book fair we are relieved.
Dgson got to play with a friend while I did the sheets over there spiffed up vacuumed and gathered up our things decided to change it up a bit.
Chickens have discovered the deck is open and that's where they have been getting out so we will have to do some thing about that. I like it that they get the bugs weeds and are clearing leaves out of the beds for me. Don't like it that they get in the road and leave "presents" on the drive way and carport for us to clean up!
Snow in the forecast hoping it does not happen here might get 1-2" I'm supposed to get dgd from play school mid day.
Trash day prep. is done it's ready to go out to the curb.
Dinner is done.
I baked up a few cookies for dgson.
Of course h. likes 'em too.
K in C l've enjoyed reading about the process of your apartment decision.

Re: Motivated Monday
I had planned to stay up late tonight doing computer work.
I just heard a lot of thunder, and it is raining hard.
Rain was predicted for tomorrow, but not thunder/lightning.
Hmm, the tv just went silent, either we lost the station or the whole cable service. (Internet is on the landline.)
Change of plans. I've already printed address labels. I will fold/label/tape/stamp newsletters and keep the flashlight handy.
Shutting down the computer now. Hope all of you get some good sleep!

Kathryn - I'm so glad you aren't dealing with monster weather at sea. The 10m waves were 2 k offshore - higher are spoken of some places. Sounds like shipping would not be pleasant. I've also wondered about your eastern US travels last year too, as dd was there in -June I think- and picked up something (virus suspected) that knocked her liver about too .... Unless she was picking up drinks as she has a low tolerance to that since glandular fever knocked her liver about as an 18yo. How long is the incubation period for hepatitus? (quote from dd last year - her liver had stopped working.)
There was big parking snaffles today until town & shopping clean up is complete of car park flooding. I was going to get some bills paid and money for mowing, but just came home instead of endless driving about looking for a place. Maybe a bus would solve the problem.
tree clean up underway at the school. Another gum tree down a block from here.
Another death - 3yo hit by a falling tree. His mum is still in a bad way. So more deaths from these floods/winds than from the fires down south.
I need process those loads of washing. I may wash some blue material before I sew it to get any shrinkage out of the way.
Hot here today - with a possibility of viscous storms later. Though I think these days the weather people put out warnings if theres a slight chance ... as people have forgotten to look out windows , or to think that storms can be a daily event.
Anyway - needing lunch. and maybe a rest. Sun is hot. UV warnings are extreme from 10 - 2 - and we are warned to be out of the sun from about 8.45 - 4. The rain has cleaned the air so it seems worse. And humid as steam rises out of the ground.
Thinking of you all with snow and ice conditions.
Safe travels OKay.
good night Booksaver
