Thanks for the thoughts, prayers and kind words every one.
I tackled a few leaves that I'd piled up they needed to be raked so that was great progress.
Home work check.
Dinner is done.
We have accounted for all the chickens and they are closed up for the night a drizzle had them in sooner this evening than on a sunny day.
I did a bit of hand wash, spiffed up after dinner planned left overs.
Dd said she would call from Sea-tac to talk to the gkids but she did not I'm thinking she might have been out of batteries.

I tackled paperwork in the afternoon and got all the credit card accounts reconciled and all the sales receipts pulled and shredded. The over-thick folder that held them is now lovely and slim once more. Plus I was able to run the Quicken budget report to see how we did last year. We were over budget by $25,000 in Misc which freaked me out until I realized that's where I put the car purchase! We actually ended up under budget on Misc. which was a relief to me. We were also under on vacation, food and dining out. So our budget is quite realistic.
I'm now doing a major back up of my computer. Between doing the annual report and this household accounting, I'd like to backup my work of the past 7 days.
Ds is here tonight. He has a dentist appointment in the morning and decided to come out to do laundry tonight and sleep over. He offered to come after dinner but having him come for dinner solved the leftover problem (I was going to have 1 serving of food leftover and had no plans to eat the leftovers.) It was rolled stuffed pork but I used a potato stuffing which I made wrong (forgot to include the butter) and it was not a hit. I guess that meal will just have to be one that I accept gluten in.
Getting the accounting done meant I could pass along to ds how much he's in debt to me (he fell behind when he was sick and had no income.) It isn't bad, just $707 but the IT project he is on ends and he goes back to only 2 shifts a week, compared to full time work for the past 8 months. If the government ever gets around to paying him the unemployment money for while he was sick, that should cover it.
He's going to a destination wedding in April and it is all paid for but it was a $1500 that he sure could use now. He did opt for cancellation insurance so if he gets sick (or if his traveling companion gets sick, or even dh or I) he can cancel. I'm kind of hoping he traveling companion (who has a chronic condition) can't make it!
He is only half way to his savings goal for Australia so he needs to stop spending money on going out with friends. Especially now that his income is dropping by half. Once he moves back here at the end of April, he'll be able to save an extra $400 a month at least because I'm charging less rent and throwing in a lot of meals. Plus we live far away from his friends so going out will be harder.

Helia has reminded us of OKay's traveling today and I think she was expecting bad weather. I am hoping everything went fine.
(Twins) you sure have a full plate.
Thank you for kind comments about my friend. She is a neighbor. She stopped tonight on her way to church. She is struggling with anger, sadness. Her kids are choosing not to get involved which leaves her without much sympathy or love just when she needs it most. My heart aches for her. I have been out of sorts all day today just thinking about it.
She said she had apologized for taking him for granted. DH and I, upon coming back into the house after she left, had a hug and told each other how much we appreciate each other. Of course, he mentioned the work I do for his company and said he couldn't do it without me. Not a mention about the housework. He's sorta oblivious to all of that, as long as things are running smoothly around here. Of course, I pointed it out.
I did get the pantry done, worked all afternoon on it. DH has 9 cans of baked beans! I have many duplicates in spices. It's all organized and neat and squeaky clean now. I still have to wipe all the counters and make lunch, that's next.

Harmony, I'm sad for your dfriend and neighbor, but how wonderful for you and your DH to have that "moment" of appreciation between each other, .... and your pantry's all organized, too!
Sometimes, DH fixes what he calls, "Beanie-Wienies". It's cut up chicken hot dogs inside the baked beans and we use Beano first because "with Beano, there will be no gas!"
I feel a bit better than afternoon. It was just an upset stomach, so I napped.
I got a lovely belated b-day card from a writer DF. And a letter from her and another friend, too. My other friend has asked me, "Do you get the Smithsonian Channel there?" about SEVEN times, in various letters now, I keep saying, "We can't find it, so I don't think we do." And I get asked again.
I keep telling her. I guess I need to tell her she's asked about 7 times now and maybe she's identify with that we probably do not have it.
We're going to have shrimp, veggie, Asian noodles stir-fry for dinner.
I need to make a to do list for tomorrow and it's Desk Day, too, so I need to do that stuff again.
Everyone, Have a good, safe, and nice evening and a good sleep, too!

Helia, thank you
((Twins')), sorry you had a hard day. You are a good sister; you do so much to help her. It should get easier once everything is approved for her.
Dee hope your getting some more rest. Good wishes for your dsil also.
I know others I've read here today could use ((Hugs)). I'm very tired myself and can't remember specifics of what I read as I cuop. Errand day turned out to take longer than I expected. We only had four short stops to make, not long at each store, but there was a lot of traffic and everything was scattered over a radius of about 10 miles. The car needed gas also and we backtracked to go back to the least expensive station - $3.18.9/gal. We saw it as high as $3.45.9/gal. Didn't get home till after 4 pm. Put groceries away, dh got suitcases out, fed ddogs, ate supper and cleaned up kitchen and started getting clothes ready. My feet hurt a little so I got my foot bath out and soaked my feet for a half hour in warm 1/2 water 1/2 vinegar. Felt so good!
Remembering from yesterday....
Lilac, thinking about your dgds16 and their teacher.
Lynlee, thinking safety for your dmom, dbro and family. So sad about the little boy killed and others in the flooding. The weather channel showed pictures of the sea foam in the streets.
Nancy, hope your dd and dsil have had a safe trip and are close to being home. Oh,
Ivy, I'm glad the noises turned out not to be worrying. Oh, and I meant to tell
Harmony thank you for your kind words the other day! You are a good sister too!
All right, I think I'll go to bed early. I've got a lot to do tomorrow.

Hi everyone! Definitely a late check in for me! DD10 was home with me all day. She was sent home from school yesterday with stomach issues and had to be out 24 hours. I slept ridiculously late while she watched movies. We went all day without arguments. I am prepared for the morning: cat care done, trash out, lunch made. I still need a snack, crochet, and video. I finished a baby sweater today for the Care Net drive at church. All I had to do was sew on a button, but didn't have the right thread until yesterday. I may do a little cleanup in the LR, or not. I may fold and put away some laundry, or not. It is very cold and windy today, I hope it improves tomorrow. I found out that I am responsible for DD's birthday party this year. I have a very angry cat who does NOT want meds twice a day. Fortunately, she is good natured and has not applied teeth or claws yet. Can't say I'd blame her if she did.
Thanks blessedw2!
