I have walked with dfriend, had tea and toast with dfriend, and have had additional toast after she left. I have probably just eaten all my WW points for the day.. . . .

I don't think I got to see photos of Twins house until she moved, so that may be an indirect perk for those of us in the village. :) Same with nancy's house - I think it was on the market at some point? Or maybe it sold?? Of course, this is only for those who want to share.

Dd17 has gone to small group. I'm taking dd14 to synchro here in a minute. then, I'll be on duty to pick up dd17's friend who is visiting their small group today. Dd17 will be sleeping over in a dorm tonight with a friend, the older sister of her bf, our skiing friends. Her bf will be there too.

Dd called this morning to tell me that she'd made the decision to pull dgson from bball no surprise there. I was relieved when that phone call got interrupted b/c she was mostly getting in to venting when that call came in phew saved by the bell! I was not really news b/c we had discussed it last night too.

Foggy this morning so I did some exercise on the stationary bike did 5 mi. on it before carpool glad that's done. While we were out and about got my Rx and store run done now too. Lunch is done.

Chicken run has been cleaned & I I've raked 90% of the back yard today.
I'm only letting four hens out in the after noon to range then the rest get out for 45 min. before they go back to the coop. Seems to be working and the yard needed a break before the spring growth gets going.

8-) It's just too nice to be inside with 50* temps. out side and sunshine here.

I remembered the new side walk chalk I got for dgd for Christmas but it was not good weather for that so we used it today! That was fun.

I still need to break open the small bale of straw and clean the nest boxes but will wait until it's time for the hens all to be on their free range time. Only one egg today.

I tweaked my lower back last time I tried to clean the run so have not been doing quite as much as I could but I"m SO glad to be on the mend this week now yea!

OK - I just talked to dh briefly. He is going to go for a run and then we'll go grab some dinner together since dd14 will be out with her synchro team and dd17 will be on campus with dfriends.

Um, scratch what I said earlier re: dfriend S's Christian group. Dfriend S's dh and my dh think it is not being handled well. Apparently, S's dh is quite upset about how this has been handled, how certain media was immediately invited in before a meeting even took place between S and the University. That meeting will happen early next week. S is quite young still and it happened so fast. . . . I'm sorry for sharing without getting the full story first. Isn't that the way of things, we get people's emotions going (anger and fear) before we understand the full story. . .

I'll go delete earlier remarks -- and then go pick up dd17's friend. :)

d helia I am sure if your dh is upset of how it was handled then there is something to be frustrated by. Yes people do get excited before really comprehending the full story. hope it all works out.

dinner done. the gnocchi was easy to make (expected it to be difficult) and I used up my left over baking potatoes.
also made a tomato salad and mozzarella and basil salad.
later some cut up apples or pears
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Apparently, dfriend S's dh is quite upset -- probably b/c this involves his wife. My dh doesn't think it has been handled well so far, but he's not particularly upset about it. . .

Dh and I are off!!.

Hi everyone! I have CUOP and will post and run. I have one more place to search for ribbon roses for the Barbie dress. If I don't find them pre-made, I found a web tutorial on how to make them! Then, I am going to temporarily abandon that project and the crocheted jacket in favor of dNeice's crocheted American Girl doll outfit. I will start that tonight at the yarn store knit/crochet group. I am getting better on the cat meds, but all the cats are avoiding me, not just the one getting the meds! I tried to get some tax information from eTrade, but it won't be available until Feb 15, which is DD10's birthday, which I have to get planned this weekend. See you later (or Sunday or Monday).

I was doing great getting the second last account reconciled and then Kraft did something weird. Again. Years ago, I wanted to invest in Kraft since I figured in a recession, people will buy comfort food to have at home and Kraft is a comfort food brand. To get that I had to buy Philip Morris. Then that became Altira, then Altira spun off Kraft Foods Global and Philip Morris so I had two companies. So every year or two I have to rejig the reconciliation to account for new companies. This year, Kraft split again, into the junk food division and the sort-of ingredient division (Kraft Foods Group and Mondalez.) Somewhere along the line, I messed something up and it took ages to figure it out because once I did a corporate name change, the software wiped out all previous info on Kraft.

Anyway, that's fixed now.

Now I'm starting in on the hard account to do. This one is hard because 1) it is a taxable account so I need to keep the records accurate and 2) it has a lot activity so instead of 3 - 9 entries per month, I have at least 3 pages of entries. In my original catch-up plan, I allowed 6 days to do this. Not sure if I'll just bash through until it is done, or take the 'eat an elephant' approach.

My senior friend called and I'm going to drive her to the market village tomorrow for some errands. I should read the flyers and see what I need from the stores there while I'm out.

Kathryn, I don't envy your work on those kinds of accounts.

Poor LO. I don't like change either, and I get irritated. I'm sure you reassured him about your going and coming back, etc. DGD2 had to learn that Daddy goes away on a plane and then comes back on a plane. She understands "a couple days" to mean not right away, but soon. She has a little model plane to use when they talk about it. I remember telling grandsons just 2 more sleeps, just 1 more sleep, today's the day! Did his teacher know you were away? I'm thinking she could have helped him a bit.

Oh, Ivy, your DH must be a gem to be so kind with his remarks about your hat!

I got the back porch and furniture scrubbed and hosed off, the outside of the big kitchen window and sliding glass doors too. I got most of the vacuuming done.

They were working on the trucks here today and had lunch inside. New helper is so nice. He calls me Ma'am! I'm not about to tell him not to do that, there is so little respect in the world today. He is the age of my oldest DD, so I am a Mother's age to him.

Then DH called while taking him back to tell me to make an eye appointment for him. He's had a sore eye for a week. 1st thought it was an infection, then maybe something on it, but not getting better. So I got him in at an eye place and met him there. After an exam, with forceps Dr. removed a "foreign object on the cornea at 8:00". I had to look away. But he is feeling better now and I am very thankful it wasn't anything worse.

Just remembered, he should be putting drops in, so I'll go see about that.

Blessed, DH uses drywall compound, smooths it on with putty knife. If it is just a crack at an inside corner or along the ceiling he will use white painters calk instead because compound tends to re-crack in those spaces.

Checking in got the store run done picked up Rx and had lunch. Delivered this week's bag of flung items red for Val. day focus. Dgd & I collected eggs and got the chickens water and feed done when we got back then she played in the chicken pen while I cleaned it petting the ones that were tame enough for that she is not afraid of them! I raked the back yard and it looks a lot better for now any way. Then we did some side walk chalk art later when dgson came home and we cleaned nest boxes and helped round them up a couple of times.

Great news: Dgson got his first 100% correct on spelling test this week yea!!! We are all SO happy about this!

H. had a strange day the concrete truck went in a sink hole the front end of it and they had to try several ways to get it out first the 4 wheel drive truck w/out success then a tractor still no success and finally a big 6 tire road grader! He was home late tonight they are very busy with the warm days we've been having. I had to take my jacket off first time I was sweating when I did yd. work.
