Dee - goodluck with the taxes

Harriet - Thanks for the encouraging words

So DS14 and I (we both looked at the paper today) both got the date wrong for the interview... thankfully we were a week early rather than a week late. So we hit the 7/11, grocery store, and gas station.

Oy. Another long day. Today at work I got the presentation ready for tomorrow a.m. and had to review a monster payroll tax return that is late. Afternoon complicated by email from rabbi to all members about an issue that I don't think will be rec'd well. I think we made a decision too quickly, based on his enthusiasm and I think there were misunderstandings on both sides. After I responded to him, and then him to me, he had the office mgr call me at work so he could discuss it with me - remember he is non-hearing and he was having her act as relay. Or he wanted me to come to temple to discuss it with him if possible. I told her to tell him I had to get my work done and that I wasn't upset and that we would meet tomorrow (at the time previously arranged) to discuss. Insisted that I needed to focus on my work, which seems to be a reoccurring theme for me right now.

I had I don't know how many interruptions this afternoon at work. I had earphones in because the audit staff had some kind of presentation going in the meeting room which was distracting and loud. I was getting to the point I was going to go "postal."

Tomorrow we have some tax training, then I am going to go get fingerprinted. Looks like 45 minutes travel time each way. I just wish I could focus at work long enough to feel productive right now.

DMacs seems sore, but okay. We did a full walk this morning and he had a bit of a limp but was happy to go two laps. This evening, we just did one lap as he was obviously stiff and was heading toward our front sidewalk when we came around the first time.

What's wrong with this picture? DH left work early, came by the house and fed ddogs and let them out into the back yard for a few minutes, then went out to eat with a friend. I worked late, came home and walked dogs. I love my dogs and I do enjoy walking them, but it would be so nice for him to take care of it sometimes for me when I'm working late.

I'm falling into a pattern of coming home feeling exhausted, not doing anything except vegging out in the evening, then getting up later than usual and rushing to start my day without having made any kind of li&t or plans for the day. But tonight is not a night that I can get much ummph going.

Dee, does the 1099-R have a distribution code in box 7? A "G" in box 7 indicates a complete rollover to another plan. Does he think he took a distribution and rolled it over?

I'm tired. It is time for bed.

The meet was enjoyable, though the pool area at our hs is rather warm. *phew* All the girls from all 3 high schools did a great job! Dd14's tech trio (tech - the lowest level teams) scored higher than the other 2 high schools' tech trio teams. They did that at the last meet too. Unfortunately, all the trios are scored together, tech teams and free teams (the more advanced teams), and I think tech teams rarely place above the free teams. Our school's big tech team (6 girls) was 2nd (among the 3 big tech teams - I'm sorry i can't remember the correct term right now. . . ) to our in town rival high school - by all of 0.2 pts. So close. . . .Over all, we lost to our main rival (darn! ;) ) but we beat the 3rd out of town team.

Dd14 has showered and gotten most of the gelatin :!: out of her hair.

I finished going through the pile by the phone and now feel properly virtuous. Unfortunately, I now have some phone calls/letters to write to take care of the last items in the pile. --Not now, though. It is almost 11 pm. I need to go to bed. Tomorrow is another day.

It's kinda late to be replying to all of you, but I did enjoy reading about your day.

As usual I did a bunch of desk chores, ran a couple errands downtown, spent a little happy time reading. I got a LOL washed, hung out and brought back in; folded a LOL from before. Tonight I made an angelfood cake and a pound cake for church doings tomorrow night. I typed up my minutes to take tomorrow, too.

So that was my day in a nutshell.

Fun learning the new word, but I keep getting the mental image of a big green frog sitting on a lilly pad...ribbit, ribbit, ribbit.
