OKay - I wish I could send some of this rain to you. All of it atm. A low is doing a number on 1/2 coastal-ish area of state.
Scattered & Harriet - I am often surprised at the wisdom quotes of some folk I expect to be superficial or single minded.
Harriet - I think the Principal was wanting to ask the parents to drive to the furthest along point of footpath before stopping so those cars coming after them have an easy as possible dropping off.
Our church often includes reminders against illegal turns at the lights on the corner. Mind you the police station is on the opposite side of the road and as priest said - they notice, and asked for a reminder to be given.
Elizabeth - Lots of people - especially children can react to foods. It need not be / mostly is not / an allergy - and those with neurological problems can be particularly affected. I am sure that the history between you and XDH, and Xfriend do come into the mix - and that DD plays on it and does know how to push buttons.
Re food - I'd suggest a joint activity of preparing food like your grandmother may have eaten could be helpful. Plain food prepared from scratch. Ask if you want some suggestions that are not fast food. Do you have a kitchen?
A strict diet would be difficult if you and XDH are not on the same page.
One time when my DD was in yr 2 the teacher noticed she was not so good on thursday and she was wanting to blame possible xdh visit. (reactions can take 3 days) In the end we found it was a RE teacher handing out jelly beans to bribe kids to be good. Not at all helpful to dd. yep - thats 1 jelly bean was a no go. For her reactions were pretty quick. They affected behaviour, learning, coordination.
I do think parenthood is a mixed bag of positives and negatives. The aim is at the end of the day with child all grown up that they have adequate skills to live. Hopefully some sort of a relationship that is positive at least some of the time. Sometimes that happens and sometimes not. Some parents and children continue to have a lot of grief between them. At the end of the day they are responsible.
Counselling sounds like a good idea.
notes from Monday
volunteer day.
Spent an age this morning undoing the "deal" from paytv. They do not want to accept NO. I will need to be strong again next month again as they try again to change my mind. Seems like no way to get out of that last best deal ever phone call.
Forgot to take the breakfast I made with no time to eat it this morning. So ate it for lunch when I got home.
Rain rain rain again today. A low is expected to form off the coast. That can make for dangerous weather.
Wore my old slides because there was no way to avoid wet feet.
Hoping it breaks for a bit to walk dog later.

Re: Sunday Showers
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

Kathryn: I have replied to your PM, but it is still sitting in my Outbox and will not go to Sent Messages. Maybe it waits until you are online? Not sure what is going on.
lilac: Thank you.
Lynlee: Oh yes, I have a kitchen!!! AND a DD who likes to cook AND some of grandmother's actual recipes.
It is 11:00 pm here, and I just realized why I am hungry. Seems I forgot to eat. Been moping and playing mindless computer games to get my mind off things. Guess I should remedy that. While it is cooking, I will handle that box.
