Today dgd was feeling better by the end of the day, her energy and appetite returned so that was good. She played with her bro. digging in the dirt I'd spaded up for garden spots they had a blast, then the hens wanted in on that fresh dirt action after the grands went next door to play on the jungle gym! LOL!
I got out the hose and we hosed off the hen roosts, chicken ladders, a crate and I felt better having that done dgson helped! Grass was in need of moisture so watered it as bit to settle down the dust. I was trying to break up some of the chicken droppings. The run needs raked out again but had to be inside with dgd this a.m. because she was feeling puny.
The chicks are fine I found one asleep on top of the water container they are flying around a bit now too. With little tail feathers and top wing feathers they are growing fast and doing great! I put a board in there and they all lined up on it to sleep like it was their roost! It's not off the ground but works for them.
Got one green egg, two brown eggs reg. size and two pullet eggs today for a total of five. Dgd & dgson's other grandpa got some chicks too.
On Fri. older #1 & #2 dgd will be here as well ad #3 dgd! That should be fun! They have not seen the chicks yet.
Sat. is yd. clean up at the church but it's going to start at 8:00 a.m. br-r not sure if I'm going to be doing that or not yet. H. is leaving early for work tomorrow it's shaping up to be a busy week here. I was tired and did not try to make it to group it just did not give me time to do dinner and get ready and I was bushed grands did not leave 'till six.
