Oh (((Lilac))), you don't need this worry. I'm sure he's just stopped for a nice dinner or got caught up in traffic somewhere and isn't able to call you. Or dropped his cell phone in the toilet.

I'm done the service so have packed up everything and am off to bed. Remembered to boil eggs for the children's story.

Lilac, praying there is an ordinary unimpressive reason for this glitch in his travels.

Kathryn, Cowinkie and Lilac all have someone traveling without them and at least somewhat out of touch. (((Group Hug)))

lucylee, there is a mental fog that rolls in on the first several weeks of widowhood. I forgot to eat normally for weeks. The mail and paper have not been in her routine for all the time she was in Texas, either. She will get back into routine, but it will be quite different, so take some time to settle.

He is safe and in his room.

When I couldn't get him, I called dd2. Then decided I better call dd1. She came over and was going to use my cell phone to text him, but to her it is antiquated. So she texted him from her phone that mom is climbing the walls and to call me immediately. Then she asked me to ride along because she needed to pick up milk. So she texted him to call my cell. He said he got lost and that's why he was later than he planned. I asked him if he was coming home as planned tomorrow. He said that he was going to meet up with his buddy and the gal and that they would probably at least start home. He told me he would let me know what he was doing and when. Reading between the lines, I am wondering if he didn't have a close call or something, so he doesn't want to ride alone. I could be wrong. But for now, all I care about is that he is safe.

Dee, I am just floored that your dsisil hasn't been to a dr. of any sort since 1964.

Okay, that is very thoughtful of your ds and ddil to help their grandparents with projects/work.

I don't know if I mentioned it but dh apologized repeatedly. He knows I get a lot more worried when he is riding by himself than I do if he is with someone else.

Dgd3 told me this morning that I was the best grandma ever. I told her thank you and she replied "No, THANK YOU!" She really didn't want to leave today but I did not insist that she stay. Dd2s kids need to be told no, more than they are. So I didn't want to set a precedent for future overnight visits, by giving in this time.

Doing a day of rest in spite of two trips to town. Early this morning, DH had a blood draw before his Dr. appointment on Wed. Then later this afternoon we went in for a part for our satellite TV. Still doesn't work. I might be doing another summer with no TV.

I'm still resting up from vacation plus the trip to Surprise for Dr. appointments on Friday.

Called motel and email 2 of 3 kids (other one is out of town for the weekend) about my glucometer. No one has seen it. I wouldn't have lost it if I had been testing like I should.

Time to go to bed again. We have been having some really early nights lately. But catching up on sleep.
