Back from a store run the day has slowly become gray and drizzly here as well, I did not get to the mowing but did get the chicken's run cleaned out so at least I made some progress. Dgd made pudding using the new to us apron I found at a yd. sale yesterday that's a kiddie sized one. We watched the DVD and returned it. H. was wanting to get others but told him that was all the $ I was going to spend on those for now the one I wanted to see was not in still drat!
We gave the corn husks to the chickens & some feed just before the rain started so that was good. Will be doing my back up plan for dinner in stead of bbq-ing burgers it will be fish portions in the oven.

Re: MEMORIAL DAY MONDAY
Went out briefly earlier. Filled the tank with gas, courtesy of dh having a gift card and saying I could have a tankful for driving him back and forth to the airport. $44 for premium! (It's an Accent, so it's tiny.)
I went into the bedroom to read and just woke up from a 3 hour nap. Heard dh talking on the phone to our travel agent that we book cruises with.

Re: MEMORIAL DAY MONDAY
Hello, villagers ~
DH and I have had a very quiet long weekend except for constant rain and some storms. It even got cold enough for the furnace to kick on. I've had my computer turned off more than half the time because of the uncertain weather.
Yesterday we went to see the Tom Cruise movie Oblivion. We both enjoyed it, and I loved the art direction and costumes. Usually I read up on movies before we see them, but for some reason I didn't get around to doing that with this one, so some of the plot twists were a total surprise. At supper afterward DH and I discussed references to other science fiction films and wondered if they were deliberate. After we got home I looked up some info about the making of Oblivion, and read that yes those references were an homage to those scifi films. One big plot hole bugs me, but otherwise it was a fun way to spend a few hours with DH.
I'm doing a couple of loads of laundry tonight, some dishes, and I must finish processing the sewing group newsletters so I can take them to the post office tomorrow. I have some dvds to watch to make the work a little more fun.
Might even make some popcorn, haven't had any in a long time. We had such a late lunch that I don't really want anything major for supper, maybe a piece of cheese and an apple.
It's time to flip the laundry. BBL.

Dee: Coronary by-passes and bowel surgery - getting all the pipes cleaned out at once?!
Done my survey. They did well, keeping to the time allotted but we took 30 minutes extra. This is the first 'social justice' church I've done. Most are dying and focusing inward - this one is declining slightly (one of the three will close) and is focusing energy outward. Very refreshing.
Now I need to have a cup of tea and some chocolate to wake up and then go through and copy the meeting notes over and send them in.

Oh Dee!! We had a friend that left the water on to the black tank TWICE!! It came out the vent pipe on the roof and was just a mess all over the rig.
Very warm here today. I did get most of the dishes washed but that is about all. I need to get going if I'm going to be ready to leave in a week.

Re: MEMORIAL DAY MONDAY
Done the following from the survey and have sent out all the emails I need to send.
Ds is home from work now so I should really get to bed.
Ugh... I just looked at the time - no way I'm doing icing and physio tonight.
