Ate all my 'dinner' (I use the term loosely!) plus the iced lemonade dh brought me. My IV line will be out in a couple of hours. The nurse says she was waiting to see how much I drank before following through with the order. I had about 32 oz with dinner (still a bit to go) plus the jello.
Tomorrow he's singing over the lunch hour but will be in at 4 with my senior friend bringing more frozen lemonade. He has another list of things to bring in for me (but did take home a bag of stuff I won't need.) He'll only be around for about 15 minutes tomorrow because he has a meeting tomorrow night. At least I'll be independent so won't be bored while bedridden.
My catheter comes out tomorrow morning and won't have to go back in. Yay!
Dh and I walked the halls for a bit and then I gave myself a small sponge bath.
Got flowers from the minister. Am touched and they are lovely but there is no place to put them that I can see them in this room. Plus I'm allergic. I'll move them out after visiting hours are over. Maybe there's room in the bathroom for them.
My childhood best friend might be in to visit tonight so I'm dozing while waiting for her.
That's about all the exciting news from room 303!

City - Good to see you popping in here.
Re: swimming attire today: No boots were worn with swim trunks. I gave LO the choice of going bare footed, wearing flip-flops or crocs. He chose the crocs. I took shorts and T-shirt for him to change into after swim lessons for the ride home. As soon as we walked into the house, he went directly to his room and got boots/jeans to put on. As soon as he finished putting the last boot on, he said "Ahhhhh, now that feels good".

Kathryn, it's SO good to see you here & to read your updates. Relieved along with you that the stone passed & that you will only need routine gb surgery. You'll feel good as new in no time.
Also glad to read that your dLily cat will be able to keep her eye, Helia.
((Twins)), you have a lot on your plate right now with dsis & dmom's needs.

Re: MANAGING MONDAY
I've brought along a pitcher of hand-squeezed lemonade from our Florida lemons, oh, so good. Happy to see Kathryn feeling a bit better.
Mr. Dee, tsk tsk tsk! Take it easy! It's too soon to be jogging around.
Twins, if DH didn't do his continuing ed every 2 years and he ever wanted to work again in his field, he would have to take a very long extensive test and start all over from scratch. I sure hope that's not the case for you.
Yay, helia, smiling and cheering for Lily that she kept her good eye.
Harriet, you remarked about me being called on so much...well we are a big congregation. With all the usual needs. Our committee has just expanded to 13 people. However, all of us have some issues: full-time jobs (some an hour ride away), ill husbands, other multiple family problems, and a couple even serve with other ministries within the church. Our hospitality gal is busy all the time and needed some time off. I filled in for her on Sunday but the other gal originally asked to come do this also showed up. She came back to clean up so I was able to attend our small group. We're a typical church, 10% of the people do 100% of the work!
Several of us on the committee do the most work. Sat. though, a few got together to clean the house of a lady who has brain cancer. Others brought food. I did not get involved in that. Today I wrote 7 notes to people and that took me 4 hours. Most of that time I spent searching for helpful verses to include.
Sat, the day Dh was not a happy camper with me
he took himself off to the hospital to have his arm stitched. 13 stitches later.... halfway between the elbow and wrist...it's just the cleaning, medicating, patching, wrapping for 10-14 days till he goes to get stitches removed. He did not tell me he was going so I had to go later and take his brand new medicare and supp. ins. cards down. sigh.... he was off to church to volunteer tonight with the construction there...but he had volunteers and he mostly just did the directing / managing / instructing, etc. He was not told he couldn't use his arm. Says he judges what to do by his pain. It's not bad now, but it was bad the first night.
Sigh...it is always something, isn't it?!

Re: MANAGING MONDAY
It's so nice to hear good news from you Kathryn. I'm glad you are feeling a little better. Sending good thoughts for your surgery.
Dee, praying your dh still continues to improve. You have wonderful neighbors! My dh takes metoprolol - 50mg - 1/2 tablet twice a day. It's a little pink pill and he chops them with a pill cutter.
Helia, I'm glad that dLily's eye is better. Hoping her procedure goes well.
Sadie, sending good wishes for your dbro.
OKay, LO is so cute. That boy sure loves his boots!
Today was desk day and daily routine for me. Tomorrow dh has his 6 mo. check with primary dr. After that is a couple of errands - don't exactly know where we'll end up.
For now it is good evening to all!
Oh my, ((Harmony)). You're right...there's always something! And I hope dh's arm heals quickly.

((((Mr Harmony)))) Ouch!
I'm cycling through the D's. Spending 5 minutes in each one before moving on to the next D. Five minutes is about how long my attention span is today.
Whatever works......

Re: MANAGING MONDAY
IV is back in for thirty minutes while I get antibiotics. So I'm surfing the web one handed.
Ds drove to London today and assisted with first aid before the paramedics arrived at a single car accident. His first time doing so. The EMTs asked that he stay to assist the transfer from the ditch to the roadside since he has backboard experience. He is seriously considering a career change, now.
I think he'd be perfect at the job but dh is worried about the stress of what he'll see. Lots for him to mull over while in Oz.
Just noted on fb that dd got a placement for her daycare work experience just 13 min walk from home. She is thrilled.

hugs Harmony and DH, Kathryn, OKay
Waving from Tuesday.
The plumber has been and gone. I now have toilet and taps that work as they were designed to. No more only the cold tap over the bath is the cold tap to use. I will enjoy.
A load of washing is on. there has been a little sunshine today. High cloud mostly
