Elizabeth: SOS is Secretary of State office, which is where we go here to get drivers' licenses, etc. Now that I think of it, other areas have a "DMV" or something - Dept. of Motor Vehicles.

I have gotten groceries and picked up dh. Dd17 called me and volunteered to pick up ds for me. So helpful and kind of her!

Vegging for a minute -- need to start cooking and tidying before friends get here.

Wishing the Twins both a Happy Birthday today, Twins Mom! Happy Birthing day to you BTW!

Dh's change today is quite unbelievable, Sunny. Nurse did note that his BP seems to be on the rise. She will be back on Friday. Looking like the change in meds is going to be a (changing) balancing act. He did sleep last night for the first time in weeks.

Been thundering for some time here but no rain right here. Know down 'home' it's been flooding all over the place. Know Central NY has been hit pretty hard again.

Should get ready for bed. We sort of want to watch America's Got Talent, but I'm sure we'll fall asleep part way through.

Hope you're having good weather there, Kathryn.

Wishing the Twins a Happy Birthday, too! :D :D

Dee, I'm glad things are looking up for Mr. Dee with monitoring. I'm sure it possibly could be 2 steps forward, and perhaps 1 day, 1 step back. It happened that way for my Ddad after his open heart surgery and for my Dbril, both. I'm praying for you both, too.

I love America's Got Talent, but DH flips to other shows, too. We share baseball and other shows with AGT.

Nancy, it's wonderful you got that DVD player, too! :!:

Helia & Elizabeth, Here it is DMV, Dept of Motor Vehicles.

DH went to a garden store today, while I got my teeth cleaned and they wanted to charge $12 for 1 single plant in a single pot! :!: :?: He did not buy, but he walked around for 15 minutes, plus he walked 1/2-mile round-trip to our mailbox and back today. This is very unusual for him, but he's diabetic, he said he feels like being more active now, so all the more power to him. I told him it'll help his blood sugar, too. He said he'll do the Wii Fit in the winter months. I want to do Zumba in the winter months and the recumbent stationary bike, too, with walking on dry days.

(((Lilac))) for you, your dfamily, dsisil & dfamily, too.

Sunny, sorry about your weather. We were sunny and 85* here. It's cooling down to the mid-70's for the 4th though.

Sadie, That's terrible upstate NY is flooding. I hope your Dsil will be safe.

We're planning on doing the finishing touches on the house tomorrow, in preparation for July 4th's BBQ with our son, dil, 6 grsons & baby dgd-6-months on the 8th.

Have a Safe & Happy 4th, if I don't get back here by then! :D

Had a wonderful evening.

Helia's closest team beat our team by one run. But it was a good game and we had great seats.

Dinner was also excellent, well worth the money it cost. It was a buffet and I was worried that it would be low quality food. The salmon was excellent, the penne pasta was amazing, the mashed potatoes were out of the world and there were lots of desserts (including a wonderful apple crumble) and salads to start. Dh had the roast beef which was also good. I ate small quantities of everything except the apple crumble and that was because I served myself a small portion but it turns out it only looked small when coming from the big pan. In fact it was a full portion. My only complaint is the market vegetables weren't quite cooked enough because I couldn't get a fork into my carrot chunks to raise them to my mouth.

The restaurant is open to the field and we watched all the pregame preparations while eating.

Dh deserves a medal for pushing the wheel chair up and down ramps but it got the job done and she got to see her game. One more big push tomorrow to get back to the train station. We need to be out of here at noon and will do lunch around the corner, then walk to the station and wait there for the train at 2:30. Timing should be about perfect.

Hello again everyone! I picked up dFosterKittens from the vet. Fortunately, it was not very hot going back. They were ravenous. They are supposed to rest, but they are not doing it. I will have to separate them tonight, which means I should be prepared for unhappy, meowing kittens. I am concerned that the microchip in Gravity might have fallen out, there is a large scab, which Levity does not have. I enjoyed dinner and the knit/crochet group. I finished a spiral pattern that I was trying to figure out and finished a golden dragon leg. When I got home, I updated Quicken, reordered checks, and transferred money.

I still have a few things left to do. I was right about needing to clean up after the sick cats, double yuck. I will also make lunch, clean catboxes, feed and water cats, put the trash and recycles out, and give dFosterCat11 her meds. She will not be happy with me.
