Harriet - your creative project with DD sounds like fun. Sweet memories.

I'm still searching for jeans that fit LO right. The jeans he is wearing now fits okay until he bends over. Then everyone gets an view of his comic underwear. I've taken him to every store in 50 miles searching for jeans but so few of the stores carry husky sizes....and they are usually sold out. This evening I ordered 14 pairs of jeans online in his size. Each one is a different style & brand of jeans. I sure hope one (or more) of those fit him.....and I hope they let me return the other 13 pair.

Harriet: have you already promised us pictures of this masterpiece? If not, you may not go to bed until you promise. I'll just stay up, bugging you and then the west coast SHEs will take over and then Lynlee will pick up the task. So just give in and promise us pictures!

I just finished the first draft of the sermon. That leaves prayers to write, which I'll do in the car tomorrow, along with sermon edits.

I've had a very productive day. Got church office work done, met for 2 hours with the new supply minister, wrote my sermon, worked with dh & ds in the basement (dh was working on the workroom and ds on his room, inventorying and labeling the bins.) We put many, many, bags out for the garbage. Plus a ton of recycle (I kept finding things that could be recycled.)

We watched the first episode of "Orange is the new Black" and I did a load of laundry for ds, and vacuumed the area outside his room after we got the mattress back into the two mattress covers. I helped him remake the bed, we put the mattress on the right way up and I put an extra, clean sheet between him and the stained mattress pad to see if he is sweating. He said he sweated a lot when he lived in the apartment (especially when he had mono) but not here. Yet the stains only happened after he came here (and there's no way he'd miss the stains.) He's running a fan in his room now to help reduce the humidity. The room doesn't smell musty (nor was any other textile in his room, such as chair pads, moldy.)

I think dh has almost convinced me not to try and have a garage sale. It is a tough call, because some things have value but he feels it isn't worth all the time involved. We will have a "really, really, free" open house and let people take what they want from the basement room. There are only two items in there not to be taken (yet, maybe in the next round.) If we can get half or more of that stuff out, then we'll have much less to box up and donate so we can let scavengers do some of the work for us. My tentative date for that will be September 8.

Heehee, Kathryn! So glad you insisted on a picture -- I would really like to see them, too. .

Harriet, we did have a lot of rain this summer, so maybe that affected the English Daisies? Yet the leaves & stems look great . I'm starting to wonder if it is something in (or missing from) the soil. I only have trouble in this one flowerbed, & am tempted to dig about two feet of dirt out & completely replace what is there. I used to get beautiful zinnias from seed in this area, but nothing has really grown well here for a few years now that I think about it.
