K in C I meant to say earlier I've heard sermons where jokes were fillers I appreciate those it helps to lift my spirit.

15 eggs from 16 hens today.

Went from zero energy in the a/m to puttering and now I have pre rinsed h's work pants they've dripped dry outside and are in the wash now, & I just folded his shirts.

I put away some clothes cleared off my dresser and dusted it and the master bathroom so I'm feeling a bit more productive now.

Dgd helped me with some watering and chicken chores.
We had an early dinner she's here until bed time.

Successful out come from my dpc earlier in the day yea! The baby's mom is now current and had a job interview and may need me on Fridays so I am getting a better idea now what my fall schedule will be like that helps.

Hi everybody!

Dh said that his ex-wife was constantly puttering. He seems to think that I don't. I do, at least I think I do. I just think that I do almost everything very quietly and don't make a huge deal about things. I don't announce that I'm doing laundry (to him) I just sort stuff out and put it into the washer and carry on. No lid slamming or clanging of boxes and bottles of detergent. I'm a peaceful cleaner. I love to listen to stuff. Grandfather clock ticking or chiming. Car doors shutting. Keys turning in locks.

On the other hand, the music can be blasting when I'm driving and I'm totally fine. I'm the type that watches everything going on around my vehicle.

Thank goodness I check for typos.... shutting didn't have a u and it did have two i's before I sent this. Okay now I'm laughing. Out loud even. Hehehehe...

Yes, Cathy, I'm glad you proofread too. Would hate to have to suspend your posting privileges for having a potty mouth!

I've added just 100 words to the sermon. There's a rough joint I can't seem to connect smoothly.

Dh had another singer over for the evening so that was distracting. But I got the weekly kitchen cleaning done before he arrived and washed the kitchen floor.

The front hall and laundry room stink dreadfully. I suspect another dead animal. This is getting to be far too frequent. Dh found a dead mouse in the garage the other day (which may have turned up again on the driveway since he didn't dispose of it well or there was yet another one.) We had a dead squirrel in the garage in March, and I've seen at least two dead ones on in the yard in the past 3 weeks.

The basement doesn't smell, so I'm not sure where the dead animal could be since if it was in the ducts you'd think the smell would also be under the duct in the basement since there is not ceiling under the laundry room. And it doesn't smell upstairs in the bedroom level so it isn't between the floors. Could be in a wall I suppose. The smell isn't outside so it isn't a dead animal under the porch. Oh well, the smell will pass once it decomposes.

I thought it was the washer but it smells worse outside the washer than in it.

Anyway, that's another item for my to-do list - try and hunt down the source of the smell. Thankfully, the heat wave broke and so we can have all the windows open.

Yes, we were safe Harriet, thank you! I had to run and unplug computers and tv.

We had tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for supper and afterwards I sat down, took a short nap. When I woke the storm and rain had finally ended. We seem to be in a summer pattern that has affected much of the east coast . I wonder if Harmony has been getting as much rain as us.

Nancy, you are lucky getting to spend so much time with your dgkids. I love hearing about your days with them.

I liked reading the puttering thread today. My puttering activity is about the same as Dove's ---- but she says it much better than I!

Cathy, I had to chuckle at your last sentence.

Kathryn, hope you find that animal quickly. We have that once in a long while in our laundry/storage room, which is semi-open to outside.

((DMacs)).

I like Debussy. Clair de Lune is one of my favorite songs.

School....all our dgkids that live here in our state have gone back to school this past week. Ddil#2 as a teacher went back the week before on Aug 12. Dgd16H and dgs11C in VA start school again the day after Labor Day.
