I think we have phone cable & net in Na bundle package that is a draw in one is down but they rarely are all out at once.

I have gotten the hen chores done for tonight. We got 15 eggs today they must like the warmer temps. We are having this week.

Tomorrow's DH's retiree's luncheon, one of the retirees lost his wife about 2 days ago, 62, my age, and I knew her from youth group and DH's co-worker, from youth group, too. I feel so bad for the DH and their 4 sons and 10 grandchildren. Married 37 years.
While DH is at the luncheon, I might clean the top shelf of the entry closet and mop the tile entry way. Also, there are some spot-mopping areas to do in DH's main office. I can't "stand" to walk over or around them anymore.
I worked two 45-minute timed stretches on my short story, it's "different" for me, it's from the male POV, and I'm sorta riding with the tide, letting it take me where it may. Hope to have it in by Sunday the 12th so I can work on another one.
My back hurts from office-chair-sitting, so I'm going to go rest my back and do some stretching exercises.
DH will be gone about 12:10 p.m. - 2 on up to 3:30 p.m. (if there's a big crowd), so I'll have music on, while he's gone, to relax by. I need to write my PODA for tomorrow,too. Will be writing letters, crocheting, and reading, too, and doing the story.
My new chunky cardigan has some wool in it, so I get quite warm wearing it. It's great though.

Captain's reception in 15 minutes. Still have to dry and style hair. Makeup and underthings are on. Need to put on outfit and jewelry.

Just interrupted dh's movie because he has to get dressed.

Found myself telling the concert pianist that his feeling that all great music has been written is absurd. Don't know where that came from - so much for being a wallflower! We had a great chat after trivia.

I seem to have my sea legs now. No headache all day. Still tired and fell asleep by the pool. Was leaning on dh's shoulder so he woke me when I started to snore loudly.

Sadie glad you are back home safe. Heal well.

Thank you all so much for your good wishes for my Birthday. I did have a lovely birthday with my dd1, dgs14 and dgd11. we went up onto the range and looked at lots of little shops they have there before lunch, a little visit to a national park to see trickle waterfall - (Its been mostly dry for so long) checked out the walks around there. Stopped at a couple of lookouts to the coast inc the town I live in, then we were interested to follow the road and surprised where we ended up - dd had looked at google in the mean time - twice. It was a lovely day and a nice drive home. To get special hugs from dgs14 was a wonderful addition from his normal offering.

Today was another busy day - out before 10, home after 5.
appointment. paid 2 bills. support group. looked in one store at tops but nothing suitable - or in my size. They seem to specialize in big. library for a new pile of books. I got out a complete trilogy - hoping I like to read them all. I passed on the monster 3 in one book by fav author that was too heavy to hold. bought a few groceries - I can get a few things in the freezer again for mains.

Ant bit me or something when I when I went to car for 2nd load. and it still its doing its big red patch and ache.

Dog is waiting for his walk.

Its good my activities are starting up again - except tai chi.

I'm trying for token efforts in many areas each day. declutter and clean as well as garden. Bedtime is a priority again which means things (eg - dishes) need to get done earlier. Trying to get a handle on these things this year. Hoping/ knowing that little efforts add up. and breed repetition. I just need to keep doing them.

temps are much more reasonable. max about 30c or so. 29c atm at 5.40 - 84f. Guessing 33C today.

dsil was spending this wk in edmonton Ca. Hoping he is ok with his snow mad rellies. He had business last wk and next in US E and W so asked to visit i/l of coming home. or needing his expenses pd there.

btw - did you hear of the cruise boat that was stuck in a summer freeze in antrtica last wk? Ice breakers couldnt get in there and it was a case of who was frozen in, and which helper vessels were stuck as well for a while. V multinational cooperation to rescue the passengers after they had unexpectedly been there 2 wks. All boats freed now. last I heard at least. So odd weather all round. Last yr parts of Oz had snow for christmas which was not long lasting nor expected.

lots of drought here also. dm had 68mm in a storm that was most rain than since last feb. inland in places its beyond endurance for farmers.

Must go pour vinegar on my foot. then socks and shoes to walk. gotta pull a few weeds as well

I think we all know what road is paved with my good intentions! I did make the meeting, ate, and enjoyed a Blue Hawaiian, and that is about it. (Ok, I played computer scrabble too, must stop that). It is 1:00 am where I am, but I am on a late night rather than an early morning, so I did not start a new thread. Next up: cat care, me care, start LOL. Tomorrow's highest priorities are straightening out my healthcare and job search. Fun, fun. G'night.

Lovely dinner with fabulous conversation. Another passenger asked if I was CK (short form for my online frequent floater handle), guessing from our conversation. That's three so far. Got a shout out after the concert from the cruise director, announcing that I'd be in the bar at the disco. I'm obviously more visible than I think I am.

Tomorrow is the Cruise Critic Meet & Mingle that I initiated. Don't know how many will show up. Fingers crossed it won't be a washout.
