Dh came back and we went and picked up his shoe. It is on the balcony, airing, since the glue is smelly.

He was exhausted after that so we walked back quickly and he went to the cabin to rest and I went to Trivia. Our team tied for first today!

We've been invited for dinner. Dh is at the pre-dinner concert and I'm primping (it is a semi formal night, tonight.) Had to wash my hair and the shower felt fabulous. My feet hurt in my shoes, though. They are swollen so the shoes are tight.

So far today I've gone 18K steps. Yesterday was 13K, the day before 16K. Funny thing about the staircases. On the ship I do stairs as often as possible and probably do 20 staircases a day. But my fitbit is registering 45 - 85. Today it says 0 (which is correct, I've been using the elevator after yesterday to preserve my knees.) Yesterday it was accurate (14) considering the hike. But days at sea it reads high, probably due to the rise and fall of the ship, about half my steps are 'up hill' as the ship rises.

Must go dry and style my hair now. Dinner is with friends at 7:30.

Waving to all... busy day today -- we went to nursing home w/ds-ddil-dgs -- They sang while dgs and I ate Cheerios and walked with the stroller. I did get dgs to say "Na-na" and "go go go" for me, so that's something. ;)

I was really exhausted by the time I got home, and took a nap.

Then dh and I went back to town, to see the movie Lone Survivor. It is good, but very graphic. I really like Mark Wahlberg in just about anything, though.

Another movie review -- August: Osage County (Meryl Streep & Julia Roberts) -- In hindsight, I don't know if I am glad we spent theater prices to see it or not. I really like both of those actresses and the men in it also -- Sam Elliott? Sam Shepherd? (I always get those mixed up!) And Chris Cooper, I think. BUT... oh my goodness. Meryl Streep's character is hooked on pills (she has cancer, but that's not the only reason she's hooked on pills) and she is completely nuts. She is a very bitter addict, too, and just about the entire movie has her cursing everyone who crosses her path. DH said if anyone thought their family was crazy, they should just see this movie and they'd feel better about their own relatives. So there's that. But as USAToday said, this movie has EVERY dysfunctional element one could imagine. Most of it is only spoken of and not on screen at all -- but there are drugs, alcohol, physical & emotional abuse, suicide, adultery, and even hinted-at incest. The women all basically scream at each other for two hours, and there is even a physical fight where two of them are rolling in the floor kicking and pulling hair. It IS a crazy movie. There were a few laughs, but mostly it is a sad story of a bunch of people who have really sad lives. Nah, I wouldn't go to the theater to see it -- wait for RedBox, at least. I do think Meryl Streep does a great job playing such a nut job; it has to be one of the most out of character parts she's ever been asked to do. DH said, "You don't know, maybe she IS that mean and crazy in real life." LOL. I sorta doubt it.

Well, there you have it, movie lovers. Wish I could get paid for this!
Tomorrow is another day.
