How is it that we can 'see' those apartments but can't see our own signals?
That doesn't make sense. Maybe the signal is traveling up/down through ceiling/floor instead of through the walls? I have total confidence in you and DH finding the best solution.
Took LO to local barber for his monthly hair cut. LO has already tanned so much this year! It is easy to see where his hair used to be.
Thinking of Harriet DD this afternoon.....hoping it means we will be hearing news of baby.

Oooh, Kathryn, that sounds like a very big problem.
We have discovered our wifi travels all through this big house, out on the front porch and the back one as well. It has been connected/used in all areas so we are pleased.
(Elizabeth). Too bad people don't rise above such feelings. I had words with DD1's XMiL years ago when they were separating. The X was not helping her or supporting the kids and his mother tried to tell me all the nonsense he'd told her about what he was doing...and I kept quiet until I couldn't any longer. It was so bad, DD had to cash in a retirement plan for food money. I didn't know at the time or I would have helped. We have not had a conversation since then, even though I've seen them. I'm glad you stuck up for yourself.
I've had a TA-Da day. I got up almost 2 hours earlier than usual, I suppose that's why I need a nap now. Big cleanup in kitchen first, all dishes got done and put away... then desk got cleared, a lot there to do. I went to 2 banks, and then to drs. apt. and picked up a few groceries.
Took DH and a whole stack of paperwork to 3 county offices and that is all off my hands now. I have my dining room table back, and you just can't believe how that progress feels. Got a couple calls made and a fax, and then the mail, which has about 2 hours' work in it. I think I'm not up to tackling it.
Was planning to go back out to pharmacy, but am waiting for dr. and insurance co. and pharmacy to get together and approve something... have to chuckle at all that... ins. co might ask why I'm treating anxiety, yeah maybe anxious about the ins. co?? Ha, much they care, anyway.
Going to go lay down. Exhausted.

I napped solidly for an hour. Was in bed for 90 minutes.
Dh cooked dinner, just burgers and a salad for me but it still was too rich for my system. I find the ground steak harder to digest than lean ground beef although the former should be leaner. It tasted good, though.
Dh has washed up the dishes for me so I need to get back to work.
Maybe I'll do the ironing next and then work on the upstairs once more.

My Ta-Da-Da for Thursday:
~ I got a story finished & sent.
~ I suggested what we could have for dinner; chicken, etc...
~ I sorted the mail & tidied the mess from it.
~ I set my dawn simulator.
~ I got my Friday's to do list done.
~ I journaled & had QT.
~ I enjoyed the wildlife today. Bunnies chasing squirrels and bunnies jumping high over bunnies are so FUNNY!
~ I put towels, which are from the dryer, from 3 days ago, on our bed, to fold and put away.

Better later than never.
I hope your Wii-Fi works out for you,
Kathryn.

Dgson got current on his reading and writing questions out today so that was good. He was pleased with his progress when he got here after school. I made pizza this evening yum!

Good progress but not enough done.
Here's where I stand:
Dining room and new living room are ready.
Reading room - done.
Kitchen 75% done.
Laundry room - not started, at least 5 boxes to pack in there
Downstairs bathroom - one box.
Basement - no clue there's too much stuff to tell where I am in the process.
Office - we need about 15 boxes but it is just a matter of dumping things in.
Upstairs the exercise and guest rooms are almost done.
Bathrooms need more boxes but also can wait if I don't get to them - we can just take our travel kits.
Bedroom - 75% done because they are moving the clothes in the drawers. We do need to drain the water bed (starting Saturday morning) and take apart Grandpa's desk.
For the pot luck on Sunday I have squares in the fridge and salad dressing ready for a mandarin spinach salad (just have to buy the spinach.)
Dd has invited us over tomorrow night to watch a movie at the community center. I think we may go just to take her up on the invite.
We go into the city tomorrow to find a solution to the wifi problem and to get more boxes. If I take a load of 'hand carry' packed boxes with me, I can unpack those and bring the empties back as well.

* walked 2 miles (and it was pretty doggone HOT out there!)
* s2s, etc... Bible reading
* drug store
-- rx was NOT ready... we are waiting on insurance approval, also, it seems
* dbil's office, b/c his secretary called to say he had our check ready
* bank to deposit check
* dsgm's to pick up quilt and drop off pants and sweater I decided to let her repair
-- she would NOT let me pay her, (although she does charge others, and is well-known in the communtity and sought-after as a seamstress) -- she said we were FAMILY and she didn't charge family... (but I know she DID charge my daunt once ($10) for hemming pants, and it really flew all over daunt -- b/c SHE thought they were family then, too. Dmom and I have learned that b/c we still care for dsgm, we just cannot discuss her w/my aunts or my uncle anymore -- especially my uncle!)
* called dcousin to check on her,
found out she should get to come home tomorrow
* called to check on dmil
* called dmom to ask if she wanted to accompany me to dentist tomorrow,
but she declined b/c her housekeeper comes tomorrow
* called dh/ds to report on dmil
* talked to ddil when she called to check on dgs...
more in J&C... good news/bad news sort of thing w/her job
* ate supper
* played/colored/etc w/dgs
* fed dgs twice
(found out he loves pizza crust and cinnamon bread sticks!)
* put away all dgs toys, put him in playpen in darkened room to play and watch Sprout TV and * Maybe * go to sleep
* washed all 4 of dgs's sippy cups
And with all that, I still feel like I'm some sort of failure b/c I never touched my cards today... haven't s/s dh's shower, or the toilets, or anything that looks like "housework" or "following my routine."
* sigh *
I think when I go pick up the pants and sweater dsgm is mending, I will bake her some cookies, so if she will not let me pay her then, I can give her
something to show I'm not just taking advantage of her kindness and generosity, but that I'm not insisting on paying and acting like we're NOT "family."
I dread going to the dentist tomorrow.

hi again everyone. Today has not seen much progress, but I did get part of the house swept. Still must do job search and study stuff.
Looks like dFosterKitten is set to tie a record that I thought (hoped) would stand forever - most vet visits in a week's time. Yep, tomorrow, she is going back. Her eye socket is swelling further and there is blood and pus oozing from it. Also she is sneezing pink fluid still. My own cat, Laia (a name derived from financial liability) had 4 or 5 visits in one week. I can't remember which. She survived, and continued to produce vet bills for a long time. I am pretty sure that Bolita will recover, but wish it was easier for her.
As I tried to leave for the gastroenterologist appointment, my garage door would not open. I could not do it manually and asked the man next door for help. He tried and had to get his two sons. I can no longer park in my garage now. I also did not think to put the trash and recycle cans outside, so that will be a pain next Tuesday. My new insurance seems to work. I got the test results from December. It confirmed the expected gastroparesis. For a long time, I had a really hard time believing it was there because I'm not that sick. I keep expecting someone is to say, "There's nothing wrong with you!" (Actually, most people with it are told for years that nothing is wrong, until they have a crisis, that is. I had my crisis early.)
I had dinner and half a margarita with friends, one of whom suggested the reason for my x in-law problems. Her comment was, "Now that you know what sort of people you are dealing with, you know your expectations are too high." The X promised to send me a photo, which I need tomorrow, but, surprise, he has not done it. He does remember, because he mentioned it on the phone. I am going to have a snack and figure out Plan B.
