SHEs Organized

That last post sat for ages. Didn't get anything done but did spend time with ds. Dh is watching a movie.

Tomorrow is another day, although I have a trip out to the house planned (ds has to get out there to see what he needs to bring back from friends' houses. He doesn't have much left so, aside from his bedroom, the house isn't exactly livable.

It is now fully dark here so when we stood up from the table, I commented on the view. Tonight is the first night of a light show on Parliament Hill so there are search lights going all over the place. Makes the view even more interesting than usual. Must remember to take the bus down to watch the show some time before it ends in August.

Oh grrrrrr... I feel like the keeper of everyone's secrets... Ugh...
But I WILL tell dmom about Mary's phone call -- she won't expect dh and me to take her to that church -- she knows everyone there, LOL, and if John and Mary are expecting her, they will likely be waiting at the door with open arms. But I WILL tell her to expect a visit because Mary is concerned....

Now... "Secret 2"
Ds and ddil are planning to go to a festival a couple hours away this Friday and take dgs with them... And when dh finds out about it, I am sooo afraid he is going to want to go too... But ds and ddil don't really want the parental chaperones, I can tell... Sooo... I'm trying to say nothing about it... But I know dh is going to be disappointed when he finds out a friend is being honored there and that's the main reason ds wants to go, too.
Sigh...
So hard to give ds/ddil their space when dh LOVES sooo many of the same things ds loves.
But I absolutely understand the younger generation (especially ddil) not wanting the IN-LAWS tagging along on every outing!
Sigh.

AAAUGUGUGUGHHHH!!! I just HATE having this on my mind and not being able to discuss it w/dh... and I don't want to make ds feel guilty for not inviting us to go... and I don't want dh to be hurt or angry that we are not invited...

The thing is, this friend's group is one of dh's favorite bands... he was just saying how he enjoyed seeing them more than anyone, blah blah blah... but he doesn't know they are appearing at this festival. And I do. And yes, it is a free country and nothing would stop us from just driving up there on our own, but then ddil would still feel like we were hovering... and dh would still feel unwanted.
AAUGUGUGHHH!!!

Okay. Enough said. I am letting go and letting God. I have prayed about it already and I am going to use this as an exercise in faith. God can take care of everyone's sensitive feelings. It is beyond my pay-grade.
