Starting to get nauseous and I haven't even taken the meds yet. I'd take gravol (as recommended) but I don't want to until I know I need it. This might just be nerves (the purge starts in half an hour.)

Dh and ds are enjoying their dinner now. Apparently I did a good job with it (just slow cooked ribs.)

I've had another cup of broth. Will have a few popsicles before starting the purge. With that I need to have 2 litres of liquid at a rate of about 1 litre per hour, at least half of which is to be gatorade. Hope I like the flavours I selected.

The worst part of this is that the second purge takes place tomorrow morning so when I go to bed tonight, I have that to look forward to in the morning. On the bright side, though, once I get to the hospital, I'm guaranteed a good sleep!

Very nice Kathryn. I love what I am seeing of your new apartment. Makes me want to see more! Hint, Hint

FF, I am so happy and excited for you. I don't know what I am excited and happy about, but if you are we all are too. Hint, Hint, maybe we can know more one of these days (?)

I received an e-mail from my beloved nephew that he is coming for a visit a week from Thursday. He, his dex-wife and son and daughter. He and the kids have come several times before, but never have brought T---. She asked to come! She and I have never met. Just never happened but I know I will love her. I have talked with her on the phone over the years and we have e-mailed and sent Christmas cards. I am anxious to see her. Her mother-in-law was my roommate, best friend and then sister-in-law for many years. She died 18 years ago and I miss her terribly. Thank God for my nephew. He and I stay pretty close. Funny how I am closer with my ex's family more than some of mine. His Mom and Dad and his only brother are gone, as is my ex-husband and my boys, so it is just me and him and a whole lot of fun memories of what it use to be like when we were all close and the 4 boys were growing up. Life sure can throw some curves. I am just happy we have each other.

When we get back to AZ in December, I will see if RR wants to post pictures of Willis and Sadie the Wonder Dog. And.....maybe even the 4 of us!

Hi everyone! I should have made a better list today. I have not been very productive. I am getting in gear though.

Saturday night was pure Hades with DD12. To the point that I was wondering why on earth I had ever thought I should have a child because I have absolutely NO IDEA how to deal with one. Silly me, I accepted a party invitation from someone she has known all her life and whose parties invariably include other kids she has known (and liked) all her life. Fit was pitched before the X even left. We were horribly late and I had to threaten to put every toy at the house into the locked shed to get her to go. I told her that we need only stay long enough to be polite and we could leave at 9 pm. Several times, she asked to leave early. At 9 pm sharp, she asked if we could stay longer. I agreed, but I should not have. Not because of her behavior, which was perfectly alright, but because the car started to overheat on the way back. It never got into the red zone, because I cranked up the heater to full blast (not fun) and adjusted my speed so enough air was flowing over the engine, but not so fast that the extra revs produced more heat. An optimization problem. We had to stop midway home at a gas station to let it cool down and add some water. Thank goodness I had books in the car!

Sunday was better, we made it to church (where I got some good car advice), had lunch with one of her favorite friends and his mom, then they came over to our house (which was a wreck). Fortunately, youth group was cancelled that evening, so I could get DD back to the X and open up Elizabeth's Own Radiator Service. The car is now roadworthy (though I need to keep a careful eye on coolant levels and temperature), and, if I am lucky, the radiator leak is plugged. The leak is very slow, I know where it is, and have never had a puddle. After that, I FINALLY got the thank you notes done for my birthday (back in June 13).

Elizabeth's Own Maid Service did some mopping today, but there is certainly more for me to do. Only the LR is really presentable, and even there, the coffee table needs some help. However, Elizabeth's Own Financial Services needs to do some assessments today. I have some funds that it would probably be a good idea to consolidate. However, I need to know where to consolidate them to. I also need to do some medical research. I have had a sore foot for a few days and thought it was because of the job interview shoes I had to wear last week (anything that is not New Balance walking shoes causes sore feet and knees). However, this morning, I found a small bony bump on that foot. It is on the opposite side of where I broke it last fall, and it feels kind of like a bruise, but I cannot fathom how I got it. Very odd.

If ya'll haven't already been inundated with this yet, check out Weird Al's new song video release which is everywhere on the web today. He parodies "Happy" with "Tacky". Outrageous guest stars (who are not singers). This was filmed in one take, from top to bottom of the historic Palace Theatre building, showing off the vintage architecture. Clean (well, pretty clean) fun, just tacky.

Interesting results when I looked at the first account: There was a letter in my file about a rollover of about 50k into the account. The money never appears on any statements. What gives? The letter is dated 6/13/2012 and gives the account the money was supposed to be in. Where is it? It would sure be nice if I have 50k more than I thought I did, but I have not yet ruled out an error on my part. I am going to call my account manager tomorrow FOR SURE!

Elizabeth, normally $50K doesn't go missing (in our favour!) but we can hope.

Harriet, you were the second prod I got to watch the video so I did. So far, I have yet to see the official video, I watched the one with the dogs (and a cat) on the beach.

Progressing here. Just over 2 hours after taking the meds things finally happened (I could feel gurgling.) Load of laundry is on now. It is a large apartment and the bathrooms are kind of grouped together.....

The small bathrooms make this not much fun. Thank heavens for my laptop! (And my tablet so I can play scrabble plus a couple of books.)

Watched the Pharrell Williams Happy video which helps me appreciate Weird Al's Tacky all the more.

Also watched two shows on YouTube. Dh is watching a new-to-him series and comes and checks on my in between episodes so I'm not abandoned. He flipped the laundry for me and has brought me seltzer to mix with the gatorade (I'm not fond of gaterade straight, it tastes too strong to me.) I'm certainly getting my fluids today.

I'm not at all comfortable in here, my choices for seating are the edge of the tub or the toilet seat since there is no room to move a chair into here. I have a table set up in the tub for my drinks (remember the bathroom has no counter.)

Ended up having 3 viewings today. The last one spent well over an hour inside and out. When I went in, I could see that blinds had been adjusted, shutters had been opened and closed, lights on that hadn't been on. As the real estate agent was leaving he said he would be in touch. To me, that sounds very good.

I told my brother that we need to add that the home has been smoke free for 28 years, pet free for over 20 and that the garage door is a power door, not manual.

5 viewings in the first 2 days on MLS. I'm exhausted. I did all the laundry before I even went up there this morning, and now I have to clear off the bed to go to bed.

Good luck tomorrow Kathryn.

Good night everyone!

All I can say, Lucylee, about the bar piercing photo is WOW! I actually learned something new today. :!: It looks like something very unexpected. DD got a tiny nose stud, but you can hardly see it. Dgs-17.5 got his ears pierced, too, but they're little gold studs, I recall. I have each ear lobe pierced, but that's as far as I GO!

I got in my nap, at last, with only 1 phone call interruption, from the pharmacy, to say prescriptions are ready. DH picked up right away, and I went back to sleep. So I ended up with getting 7.5 hours total sleep since 10:30 p.m. last night - 4:30 a.m. today + the nap. 8-)

I got my Dec. index card outlines done, put titles on post-it notes, put them in a spiral-bound notebook with 10-pages per each of 5 stories. They're not due until 9/19/14. So it gives plenty of time to write out by hand and log, proof, edit and sub. :) My phone call from NYC gave me some ideas, which I'm very grateful for. Also, the future is bright for all the writers at the magazines because of some new opportunities and changes and additions being made in the future. So I'm very excited now. :!:

I did do s2s when DH got his s2s-#2 done after working in the woods. 3 letters came today, too, but I don't have time right now to answer them. Need to do logging of 2 Nov. stories, do Jan. index outlines, and pre-grs-14 cleaning, too. I cleaned the guest/bunny room, but need to clean the guest/main bathroom counter, mirror, and dump trash. DH did the toilet in there, but we'll do it again before the 20th, when DH runs up to get him.

Have a great evening and a good sleep, Everybody. :D
