Hi everyone. Thought I should post so y'all don't forget who I am! Just kidding - it's only been a few days, but I have tried to keep cuop. We've been two days without rain in my area. I saw on Weather Channel that Harmony's area has had 6.3+ inches of rain the last few days. We didn't have that much here. Yep, I'm the family's weather girl!

Our wellness is in the form of healthy eating. We've had good, well-balanced meals lately, (no fast food) and have made some homemade soups.

Have done mostly just the basics here. I decided to go through some of the craft stuff I have. I have done about all the sewing I can on dgs12's quilt. I still need a couple pieces of material to finish the blocks before I can start putting them together. So I got out the bag of granny squares and have put some more of them together. I also tried some little things with knit-cro-sheen and a finer hook. It's taking some doing to get my dexterity back!

Nice to hear from MT! Think about you often!

Twins, that would be scary to have to deal with someone unwanted in dsis' home! A relief to hear the neighbor keeps an eye out and knows what's going on in the neighborhood.

Hope all the colds (Kathryn & Ken), allergies (Lucy), etc. are quickly gone!

Yes, Harriet, I guess reunions are a natural place for "catching up on everyone". It's only for a few hours though, right?! You'll have a nice time. Did you have a big class? My graduating class was 120 seniors. Ours will be this Sept. in one of our local parks picnic style.

Nothing else too exciting going on with me. Dh has a couple of dr. appointments coming up in the next few weeks.

Have been watching the news about all the wildfires out west and thinking how hard it is on all those people in their paths. Thoughts of safety for all!

:D Good Evening, Everybody! :D

Just a quick C.I. to say I got my FlyLady calendar today. I've been transferring over birthdays, anniversaries, using stickers, added deadline dates/story titles, etc... I'm finally done. Been doing it for about 3 hours, with 15-minute walks in between to get in exercise breaks. Walked 45 minutes so far, want to do one more 15-minute stretch, to make a full hour.

DH and I made the bed with freshly bleached/laundered sheets. Dgs is at my bunny room desk with children's scissors, colored papers, and a THICK book on Origami, so he's very intent on making "things" and is so quiet, occupied, and enjoying his time to himself so much. With 5 brothers and 1 dsis at home, it's nice for each single-visiting grandchild to have quiet time to do what they enjoy the most.

I'm thirsty and am on my way to drink something. I'm wearing down now, since I had no nap. Today's a 1/4-pill day for my anxiety med, I didn't get anxious or too tired to demand a nap. :D I'm so HAPPY about not getting anxious, on the lower does. This means, when Dgs goes home the 9th, I can start cutting that lunchtime does out altogether, since it's sedating me, my nurse said. My Dr.'s eyes about bugged when I told him the pill put me to sleep for 1 - 1.5 hours, in the afternoon, too! = like these bugged eyes!

Nice to "see" you, Sunny! Have a wonderful evening, Everybody! :D

Watched fireworks for a bit. It was raining so I watched through the window. When we were biking yesterday we biked past the launch platform for them.

I've made all the reservations for our trip. Two hotels on the way down, three days in Halifax (2 + 1) and one night on the way home.

One town we are visiting had nothing really nice but something OK. Another town wasn't also showing anywhere nice but then I found a Best Western with river views so canceled my icky place with horrid reviews and booked it. It will cost more but will start the trip off well (the next night is the iffy town, then we go back to tried and true places for the rest of the trip.)

Starting to get overwhelmed with all we have to do.

Dh has agreed to the waffle breakfast on the day we leave so we are having 5 for breakfast, then have to pack the car and head off. I'm thinking we might try and pack the car the night before although dd is staying over that night, I'm hosting dinner for TGF after she arrives and in general things are crazy here. I'm really going to need that vacation!

K in C good for you changing the reservations. Hope it turns out well.

It is getting dark sooner, we were glad we had walking sticks a dog (pit bull) was out we chased it off heard the owners so we hollered that there was a leash law we were going to on call the sherriff if they didn't. So it is time to carry a flash light with us.
