Doctor's appt went fine... and the car looks great... (although they don't vacuum as well as I would if I were so inclined to get out there and do it, but in this heat, I'm happy, and I did not see any ants today.)
I posted about most of this in J&C and I probably should have said nothing to ds about yesterday's concerns, but I did... so... maybe everything is okay. Talked to ddil tonight; she sounded good.
I got a watch to replace the last one that broke, and I bought 3 tops, but none of them are really likely candidates for the parade. * sigh * It will probably be very hot, and that makes it more difficult to dress "professionally," I think. I have a sleeveless top I might wear (the one I wore to that 50th anniversary party last year) but hmmm... IF I feel the need to wave, will my arms wave too much? Y'all understand what I'm saying? I'm not flabby in my arms, but they do move a little more than I'd like.
I also bought dgs 3 little books that I can keep in my purse for times he needs to be entertained a bit -- nursing home music visits, etc.
I tried on several pairs of pants, and that just depressed me.
I'm worn out. DH and I cleaned out our box closet and took a pickup truck load of boxes to dmil's house, in prep for tomorrow's dividing of property. I don't think dbil will want to get into division of small things, but we are prepared, at any rate. I need to print out the list of furniture for dbil again, in case he shows up w/out his. Our plan is to have dbil mark his wish list, and then compare to ours, before we start worrying about flipping coins, etc.
I am sooo glad to have so many of those boxes gone. Y'all cannot imagine. We kept a lot b/c they are the size dh puts newspapers in for recycling -- but ooohhh -- we can step into the closet again w/out moving boxes. I told dh we are NOT bringing any boxes home with us!!! (Unless they are filled w/things we want to keep.)
