I know, I know, Lynlee... just hate to disappoint them, I guess. But -- I did tell ds to tell ddil to please wait until 4:00 or 5:00 pm Sunday to bring him back to us.
So we should have tomorrow and most of Sunday afternoon "free." And I definitely plan to treat myself after my mammogram appt Tuesday and not be in any rush to get home!
And Harmony I think said it -- Nancy seems to get LOTS done while babysitting... LadyM has always had a huge list of accomplishments, even before LO started school... OH -- and my daunt had three of her grands this afternoon when I talked to her on the phone, and she gets all kinds of stuff done. (And she sleeps late, too!) I just have myself on a crazy schedule, and between dh's body clock, ds's running mid-day schedule, and babysitting duty... I feel like I am fighting a losing battle. BUT -- I know these days will not last forever, you know... so if I haven't perfected my zones and routines and organized every inch of my house in the first year -- or two -- of my retirement... well... all of this will still be here when dgs (and any other grands to come) have started school and gotten too busy for Nana. These men in my family ARE on a weird biological clock though. I mean, who in their right mind would want to wait until 2:00 pm to walk (or run) outdoors in the South when it's 80-something degrees??? A few years ago, I used to wake up around 9:00 a.m., which I know is ridiculously late as far as most of you are concerned, but I would walk alone then (unless I knew dh wanted to walk that day), and do my Bible reading, and then I would s2s as soon as dh woke up... but now that dh has started reading the morning paper in the middle of the night... nah... life is just turned upside down. It's insane -- and I know I don't have to go to bed the same time he does... but it just seems to be easier (in some ways) to live on his schedule. * That's the difference w/my daunt -- she has been a widow for the last 8 years, and although she doesn't live alone, no one in her house is used to having a "quiet" house, so she does housework whenever she pleases. She also is a workaholic, just exactly like my ddad, and she cannot sit still. Work is her coping mechanism for fighting anxiety and/or depression, and dealing with all the chaos in her life. I, OTOH, can sit still. I can sit very still.
