Good Evening! Just turned on the laptop about an hour ago for the first time today.

Oh my, Dee. I'm so sorry to read about your dneighbor. I also remember your mention of him. {I am glad you finally found your jewelry box; I hope that dizzy feeling has gone!}

Feel better, Nancy. ((Hugs))! ((Hugs)) for you, too, RRose. Praying tomorrow is a better day for you both.

FFriend, I wanted to tell you, also, I hope your thyroid med. starts working and you feel better again quickly. Hope you haven't had bad storms today.

Wow, Kathryn, sounds like all the electronics in your home are all affected. Hope you can find a solution!

Aww, poor Tobias! He musn't like getting his feet wet. I guess he didn't like his routine turned around. You are a good Kitty-mama to him with loves and treats! ;) (Our ddog, Blondie, doesn't like walking in the wet grass, especially when it's a little tall and needs cut...actually pretty funny watching her high-stepping!)

Harmony, good thing you know how to fix dh's computer all the time! 8-)

MT, sorry to hear dh will need another surgery. I'll keep you both in my prayers.

Hello to everyone!

Dh had a script refill to pick up this afternoon, so I went with him and we stopped at Joanne's also. Traffic was really heavy on Rt 19, so we got off and went through Dunedin and decided to stop at the quilt shop there, too. Didn't buy anything, though I would have liked to! We both were hungry, so went across the street to our favorite seafood place for a fish sandwich (without the bun!). It was nice to get some walking in, but now I'm tired and ready to settle down for the night.

Dee, I will look for the date and nut bread recipe tomorrow and post if I find it. It was a sweet bread!

Wonder how Lucy is doing in her parade....and Twins' with her dinner party?

We opted to go with wireless everything which means when one link doesn't work, nothing works. But it also means that you get tons of intermittent errors and it is hard to prove what is wrong.

Dh finished the install of the system today so now we have two accesses to the internet.

Before he got back to working on it, I tried to play a show on Netflix at my desk. No luck. And I got bored waiting for a blog to load (although it eventually did because when I stopped playing my game, it was loaded.)

Dh asked me to check internet connection after he got it working and netflix worked. Then he programmed the bluray and the sound system to work with the new system and they worked. Then he ran a show while I streamed a different show and both worked. According to the bluray, we went from 24% signal strength to 80%.

So the tv works fully now. And the sound system will work once I learn how to use it (nothing like buying an expensive sound system for your bluray system, one that also plays all the music you have loaded onto a hard drive and then not have the technical backbone for it to work.)

Still have to add my tablet and phones but for now the important (to me) stuff is working.

Got distracted watching the test tv show (dh had started it months ago when we were doing a test and we couldn't get through it without the system hanging so stopped.)

I'll probably get cancer or have more ADD because of all the wireless signals in the house, but at least I'll have my technology!

Hi everyone! I have not gotten nearly as much done today as I would have liked. I have found one job to apply for: scientific software developer (I've only been doing that for, oh, 20 years). I made the last of my DPCs and have set a time to deliver the last of the babycats to their new home. The two orange ones are going as a pair.

dFosterCat14 is having people come by the adoption clinic this weekend, especially to look at her. I am hoping that it will work out. It is not easy to place a 14yo.

I think Pikachu just stole my pen. I am going to finish a book, so I can return it and 2 of its pals to the library, then work on painting the fabric strips for the Anna dress while watching a mindless video. My goal is to get it done by the end of September, so I can work on mine (which will be simpler).

We had sunshine today, until the evening news, when they showed us IN RED on the Doppler radar. Sure enough, that storm hit us just 5 minutes later. :o It was short-lived, past by quickly and winds and rains went away. No T-storm either. :)

I've been busy today. It took me 4-hours to write a 10-page story out by hand, in a spiral notebook. I'm very happy with it. I used the area where Dsis lives, as my location to the story, although I didn't list the significant town. Just the state.

I worked on my calendar and listed the starting and deadline dates for the Christmas crochet gifts I'm doing now. DH bought our Christmas cards at Costco before they get picked over. He also got 2 free batteries for 2 of my watches. A couple years ago, he paid for a program, which guaranteed free batteries for life. It's paid off for me about 2 times now. :)

Dee, I'm glad you found your jewelry box. :!: :P

Waving to Elizabeth, Kathryn, Sunny, Harmony, MT (sorry about your dh), Lucy, Twins', Nancy, LM, RR, Sadie, Lynlee, and anyone else who are on other pages. This is just a quick C. I. Am tight on time today/tonight. Goodnight and tomorrow's office display index card has smiling cupcake stickers on it with glitter in their frosting hair, and it says "Friendly Friday," with a squiggle line under the words and it's on a lavender index card. I like it because it reminds me to interact with others on Friday- not that I 'don't' on other days- but it reminds me to make phone calls to friends, send people a card, if needed, and to reply to the week's worth or 2 of letters. So far, I have 5 to answer.
