Hi everyone! It is almost 5 pm where I am, but I have not been a lazy bum today. I started with a meeting with our pastor and youth director. Guess who is taking over the website, BWA HAHAHAHA  :P  . Then it was on to lunch with a friend, where I delivered her jacket and some party invitations for some of the members of my art class. Even if I get this job, I probably won't be able to return to art class. Not a money issue, but a commute problem: opposite ends of the city with rush hour traffic in the way. It may just not be possible to get there. When I got back, I decided to spend a 'little' time crisis cleaning. I drew 'wash car', so it took longer. But my car is sparkly and that slip is in the trash. Last night, I got 'kitchen', and managed to clear off a counter (except for the crockpot, which may stay, haven't decided) and most of one of the tables. Yes, I have two kitchen tables, that is weird. My dad suggested it, and he has been an interior designer for more than 50 years, so strange as it is, it works and uses the dead space in the kitchen. It is also particularly handy for parties.

Here are my must dos:
Make some mods to church website - enough to ensure I can get on and do it
Email catchup, send out more party invitations
Pictures for Dad (way overdue and much postponed)
Sew on Anna dress

There is a knit/crochet group meeting at a deli tonight, but I think I am going to skip it. So much to do with so much higher priority. Dress is taking a lot longer than I thought. However, next time I do go out, no matter what for, I am buying new pajamas!!! I am totally tired of cold air coming in the giant hole and found a $10 Target gift card in my purse today that I had forgotten. I am in great need of summer clothes, too, but that is not happening until I get an income. I think I have 3 pants that fit and 7 shirts (and some interview clothes, but I can't wear those around the house!).

Birthday wishes to Cathy and Sunny! Have a good one!

ETA: I Have gotten onto the church website builder and changed the login and password and PIN. It's not that I don't trust the family of the previous administrator (she died 3 weeks ago, she doesn't need to login anymore!), but it is good business practice. I have done a bit of email catchup. Someone else wants to phone interview me, this time for C++ Developer. This company has the advantage of being in ABQ rather than Santa Fe.

FYI: On 10/7 Schlotzsky's is having a promotion where you get a free Original sandwich with purchase of drink and chips. This appeals to my cheapskate nature.

I think it must be snack time. I have not done anything on the dress or my dad's pictures. Nor am I completely caught up on the emails. Must do that. Tomorrow, is knit/crochet group, lunch with friends (probably cancelled due to one out of town), cathouse volunteer work, and pick up dFriend's daughter.

:D I hope you'll get the job, Elizabeth! :!:

Harriet, That's interesting about "perfection". It seems like it's unattainable. It's something we can never get, only strive or struggle with.  My Dbro used to always say, as children growing up, "Nobody's perfect!" whenever he did something "imperfect". It's so true, too!

CathyS, I'm so glad you had an awesome day, too! :P

RamblingRose, How are you doing tonight? So sorry about your sick dog and the death of your dear student. :( Sad. Sorry for your loss and that of his family's loss, too.

DGS-almost 18, lost a Dfriend, who was on his skateboard, last month, to a hit and run driver. His Dfriend passed away. There was a memorial service at his school for his friends, too. I felt badly for DGS. DGS-16 soon, lost a Dfriend this summer, to an accident while hiking during a fall off a cliff and slid down a snow bank, too. He spoke at his memorial service on behalf of his Dfriend. It makes my heart ache how 2 young DGS's have experienced this adult-type loss in high school. :(

Sunny, I hope your fun day has been great ALL day, too! :D

Lucylee, Did you and your Dfamily enjoy the festival today? :?: I hope so! :D

MT, isn't it a job to get a pantry organized!?!? At least it is for me, but so satisfying when it's all done! :D WTG, by the way.

Harmony, I'm glad you got to play catchup with your sleep today! :D

I need to run and get out supplements to take after dinner. We're having rotisserie chicken and salads. :) :) I finished the LOL, mostly undies, and got that all put away. I'm working on snail mail on and off, while I read a book "The How of Happiness," by a Sonja something. Her last name is a bear to remember AND spell! GR8 book though. ;) It started out foggy here, broke into sunshine and was 70*. DH didn't build a fire today, because of the warmer temps. It was kind of nice for a change after a week's worth of fires. I didn't write on stories or outlines or anything today; 2 stories submitted yesterday wore me out, as far as sitting in the chair goes and the mental energy it takes to try to get things perfect, but what's perfection? There we go AGAIN!

Tomorrow's Friday and I shall try to do my Conga so everything's back into shape, like it was last week prior to DD and DGS coming to visit on Sunday. I think I'll go through the house to "see" what I need to do, then take it from there, and make a little list.

Have a nice evening, Everyone! :D Take care! :D

One last check in. Thank you again for all the nice birthday wishes. It is very heart-warming to have so many dfriends and read those greetings both here and on FB. I am truly blessed!

Dh and I had a very nice quiet day. I worked at my desk while he cut the grass in the back yard. I also finished the shawl I started last week. It will be nice and warm in the cool weather. Dh asked if I wanted to go out for dinner, but I told him let's wait till next week as we were out on Tues. He agreed.

Harriet, hope dniece will be feeling better.

FFriend, I cringed when I read about dgd falling off high chair. ((Gentle Hugs)) for her. Hope ddil will be able to come home soon.

I got phone calls from dsons and ddils and talked with most of my dgkids. I also got a very nice birthday card and letter from dsis (Harmony). I am very happy tonight, I have much for which to be thankful! (I don't feel like I am 70 either!)

Off to bed. Too tired to cuop now.

The house is now cleaned and empty except for the laundry/mud room and the garage. I think there's just a bike in the shed.

I need to go back to finish loading up the stuff and finding it homes. It is frustrating when there's good stuff being tossed out (like a Sony Trinitron CRT tv.) The tvs are in the car now and will go to recycling tomorrow. Reuse would make me much happier but I had no bites on Freecycle, even including a dvd player with it.

Kathryn, that's a lot of work you've been doing.

DH was so late tonight. He's working a hard and as fast as he can. We finally sat down tonight and worked up a proposal. It's almost impossible at 10:00 at night to get our thoughts together. I thought I'd never make sense of anything he was telling me.

Harriet, I read that blog. Interesting how that particular culture makes perfectionism so admired. I imagine that's very hard for some women. It's hard for me, I hate for people to come when the house (and me!) are a mess.

I have to tell Sunny happy bday. Hope it was a good one.

Yarn meeting went well here. Split shift of toddler duty today worked like a charm for that.

Remembered the afternoon dose of meds today yea.
Got my walk in pushing the stroller lovely weather.

H. Looked at the jeep & liked it might have news on that tomorrow. Comes with a motor and new soft top but was more than orgionally priced bc the guy had found a motor it is the right size.

Dear Sunny! You don't SOUND like 70, by reading your posts, EITHER! You sound like a vibrant woman in her 40's, to ME! :D My goodness, I was surprised. I'm so happy you had a good birthday and thank you for gentle (((hugs))) for DGD. She's almost 21 months. ;)

Nancy, I'm glad you did well on your med and walked, too. :D I walked talking on the phone to DGS and DD for 25 minutes tonight. :) Glad your yarn meeting went well, too. I hope you'll have good Jeep news for us tomorrow, too! :D

Harmony, Sorry you and your DH needed to work up a proposal at 10 p.m. :( If it's done, you'll sleep better though, I think.

Kathryn, I hope you'll get some good restful sleep tonight! :D

I hand wrote 1 card to DGD + Ddil, with a letter to Ddil and hand wrote 1 card/letter to an older lady. Then, I "succumbed" to taking the easier route and wrote 7 people a computer letter. :!: :P :o  It cuts down in time, I can say more in less time, fewer pages, save my hand/fingers/wrist for crochet, etc.. And it's just more readable and a nicer way to go. I wouldn't have done it, except DH said, "You have a whole other ink cartridge after this one's used up!" I told him "I didn't know THAT!" :P (He should have told me sooner!) ;)

Since my display office card (I believe) said "Friendly Friday," last week, tomorrow's card says, simply, "Friday Flowers." I ♥ flowers, as long as they're not fresh ones in the house. I have allergies and my CAT EATS FLOWERS! Once, I got a free floral arrangement, for buying some furniture, from a furniture store, in their furniture store logo's mug. My CAT was nibbling on those flowers in no time at all! :!: :!:    My SOLUTION IS: I put them inside the china cabinet behind the closed glass cabinet door! I outsmarted her. ;) This is why I prefer fake plants in pretty containers and silk flowers. My Alzheimer's Dfriend, in 2004, made me the most beautiful summertime flowers arrangement inside an antique vase. It's on my desk and I have it there because even though my Dfriend may not remember me, when we go visit her in the nursing home in 1 - 2 weeks, I'll remember her, always, especially when I sit at my desk and recall her more vibrant and witty days.

Take care, Everybody, and have a good sleep, too! :D
"See" you tomorrow! ;)

I think Ramblin only said her former student has shot someone, who evidently died, and so student is a suspect arrested in this road rage incident. But he himself is not hurt? Very tragic no matter what.
