Wednesday Wanna's is Donna's

My Wednesday Wanna's Donna now.
On October 29th???? Holy cow!
So my "job" came to an end,
On December 3rd, we'll send
them. I'm so happy
I feel snappy!
I watched a cable show,
addressing envelopes with snow
on them. Each card has a snowman.
They're adorable! I'm a fan.
Enough poetry for one day....
What can I say?
I'm glad the job's done.
And it's the end to my fun. ;)

Kathryn , I loved your poem! It made me laugh OUT LOUD!

Booksaver , Thanks for explaining the magazines to me.

LucyLee , That's good how your QT, journal & Bible go together. (I have a terrible time making myself read the Bible. I don't know what to do.)

Nancy , So sorry you lost your post!

Lilac , It's ALWAYS better to HAVE HOPE!

Dee , Your slacks lasted a LONG time! I have brown cords, but I cannot get them zipped- yet!

Harmony , DH uses the Humana drug plan, 90-day's worth of mail order pills, but if it's ever something needed ASAP, like an antibiotic, locally, he'll need to go to Walmart for that. He uses generic, he's on Medicare. I use Medicaid and I use generic, too, except my inhaled steroid, for asthma is not, and it's called QVAR. It's very expensive, but it's a maintenance med for preventing asthma attacks and need of the rescue inhaler. It's my only brand name med now. If you go with Walmart and/or Humana, too, I bet you'll be very happy. I know DH sure is.

I watched a cable show On Demand, which is starting to get quite mysterious. It's called "The Affair," which is just what it is, but the dynamics of the 2 people involved, their spouses, his job as a novelist, etc.. are really good. The actors are super, too. It takes place in the NE U. S., we're thinking about CT, by guessing at the scenery. It's so beautiful up there. It's a very relaxing show to watch, but they're not ALL law-abiding citizens either! It's so different than Debbie Macomber's "Cedar Cove." It reminds me of a modern day Peyton Place, to be honest! I like the fact that the novelist has a FIL who is a best-selling writer and screenwriter, with an estate on the beach to die for! He's so pompous, too! His fame seemed to have gone to his head. It's fun to watch it because it's full of twists and turns. They do the male author's POV first, then his lover's POV next. They're testifying, one at a time, at the police station, because the police are trying to figure out whoever got run over by a car and killed, is who their murderer is. I'm trying to figure out WHO got killed, because they haven't told us yet. They just keep saying "Him," and "He".... so can't figure out if it's the woman's DH, who's having the affair, or a rival to her DH who wants to develop his business, or just who "HE" IS? :?: It's intriguing. It's on very Sunday night at 10 p.m., when I used to watch another cable series, which ended. We're always busy watching other things on Sunday's at 10 p.m., so I watch it On Demand, any time during the week. I think it's very well done. The lady who's having the affair with the author, had a son who died, a little kid. In the show, they're interviewing her and she has a child again. I'm trying to figure out, IS this kid her DH's kid? OR is the child the male author's kid! It's like a mysterious Peyton Place in modern times! :!:  And it's so far removed from our everyday life, it makes it fun to watch. I'm sure glad our lives aren't like THAT!

I need to go get some more steps in on my pedometer. I blew it yesterday, so wanted to come up with a good night-time total before bed today. :D Have a GR8 rest of Wednesday Wanna Day, too! :P

I'm watching that show, too, FF! * I think it is her husband who was killed. That's just my guess -- and I haven't watched last night's show yet.

Made a very good dinner.

Dh pulled together the Christmas letter except for ds's contribution. He said he couldn't write that until he was done studying for his recertification. But now that's over, he's headed off for a few days away. I think dh is getting very frustrated with him. I need to proofread my part and pare it down some. It really sounds like a brag rag but it has been quite a year. Actually just three things: 1) cruise to Australia and visit with ds, 2) the move, and 3) all of us living in the same city now. Except I gush about all three for pages and pages! As I like to say, I know no short stories!

Dh cleaned up after dinner and is at choir practice now. My tummy is bugging me again. I think I better phone the doctor tomorrow since signs of the bleeding aren't going away. Since iron is out of my diet, it must be bleeding causing the signs. Not sure if I can let this go on for 11 more days. I can tough it out if I'm not doing major damage to my body and it will heal once the meds stop. On the other hand, if I am, then we need to do something.

Just set up the fitbit walk for tomorrow. I'll be as skinny as can be in no-time if these continue on a daily basis (not likely!)

On the other hand, I'll be buried under papers too. Our financial guy comes on Tuesday so I have to have things tidied up by then but it would be better to have all bank recs and quicken updates done too.

Of course, I have a service to write between now and then as well.

Deadlines, just what I need to motivate me!

LucyLee , I'm glad somebody else is watching that show, besides me! I'm starting to think it was the woman's DH who gets killed, too. It's because the woman's BIL is acting "fishy", to me! And what was with her stealing those drugs and bandages from the hospital, to "fix" her inner thigh cut, which was bleeding? I'm wondering if that BIL did something to her. I don't like him! He's so sneaky!

Kathryn , Do you "need" to have a smart phone, to sync your FitBit? I looked on-line at it, I got the impression you JUST HAD to own a smart phone, to sync it to your computer, but DH and I only own a flip-phone, cell, and don't do Internet on it, either, so we don't have an extra added expense. So, no smart phone, no FitBit, was the impression I got, when I read up on it and watched You Tube videos. I guess that lets me out, but I'm using The President's Challenge and a pedometer, log that, log walking, housework, stretching, yoga, etc... It works for me.

I had something wonderful happen to me today! :P I had read "THE SHOP ON BLOSSOM STREET," by Debbie Macomber. I wrote her a letter, told her I crocheted, what a disaster my trying to teach myself knitting has been, but after reading her book, about the yarn shop, with so many knitters in it, it makes me want to master knitting in the New Year. I told her teh books I've read in the series, too. She wrote back, I received the letter today, and WOW! She gave me a bookmark, a list of 2014 books released this year, AND a list of each collection she's written AND IN WHAT ORDER THEY GO IN! I was so happy! She said she loves my attitude, whereas knitting is concerned, which is "I CAN do this!", too! ;) Anyway, it was so sweet of her to do this, I was very amazed, happy, and delighted all in one. She lives in Port Orchard, WA, on the North Puget Sound, in our state. She's such a lovely person. Yes, I'm a fan of hers. This is the 2nd or 3rd time she's written me. Once, I won a recipe contest at her site, she gave me an autographed copy of her Cedar Cove Cookbook! I'll TREASURE it for the remainder of my days! Isn't she a DEAR??? :D

I was thinking about making a "Mind Map", but then I thought, 'why have an extra legal pad out, to clutter the place?' and I got out my Holiday Planner, with the pages in it, from CEO's site, for the Christmas Planning, etc... I found the dated chore pages, I had started, so added to the pages, in pencil, and since my chore lists ended Dec. 7, and I wanted to continue, on into January, until my Jan. 15 b-day, I printed up 4 more pages. THEN, I "noticed" how CEO had the 2015 Resolutions page to print. I printed 2, to accomplish throughout the entire year of 2015. I'll work on the resolutions, probably AFTER Christmas, when "things" settle down more. It was good to "see" what projects I had planned, which ones NOT to make, after all, which simplifies the entire situation, whereas it's in bite-sized pieces. I'll just look at my Holiday Planner pages, my PODA and use my calendar reminders, but will lighten up on the reminders, b/c I'm using the PODA and planner. I decided to keep the Holiday Planner on the dining room table, so if company comes or drops in, I can close it and quickly put it into our MBR.

The World Series is on. SF Giants have 3, the Royals have 2. They're in the bottom of the 5th inning. It's so exciting tonight! :o :D

Have a GR8 night, Everybody! :D Waving at you all!

CI: Had to come to read what I'd posted as goals for today. I've done all of them but that boring tax form. I don't think I have enough brain power left to concentrate on that tonight. Probably a better idea to try to go to bed early, and tackle the numbers first thing in the morning.

Plans have been adjusted to move DMIL's furniture Saturday afternoon instead of morning, and then all go out to supper together. That will mean I have to give up going to a friend's Halloween party Saturday night, but family is much more important and we need to get DMIL well settled in the new place.

I sent an Email to the older siblings offering to go up Friday to help with final packing. Waiting to hear back how much is left to do.

I had not planned to bring home any books from the library today, but ended up checking out 8. 8-) There's a brand new book in a mystery series I like by Donna Andrews, a comedy book by Joan Rivers, and I remembered that I need to do research on a children's series character Fancy Nancy so I checked out 6 little story books about her.

We will be doing a Fancy Nancy tea party at the library at the end of January, and I want to be sure I've learned the names of Nancy's family and friends. There is a meeting next Thursday to start planning the party.
