Back from dinner and the oil change. Ds dropped by the restaurant and sat with us while we ate so we ran over on our time there, meaning I'll have a grocery store run tomorrow. Not upset by that, it will help me get my steps in.

I just realized my meeting is not where I thought it was so I can't easily take the bus. That means I'll have to drive and the car may be covered in freezing rain when I get out of the meeting. Sigh...

I'm doing a quick walk on the treadmill now to get my steps up for today. I'll easily make the 10K so I'll have to consider making 11K my goal. Or at least 10.5. The eating and swimming aren't going well but the steps are.

I've been in a genealogy la-la land. Did the entire very basic genealogy course...didn't take very long but was boring to the extreme. In some cases it was quite dated also and didn't take into consideration what technology can do. Anyway.

I need to have something to show for the day! Going to:
-clean up kitchen a bit
-go upstairs to walk on treadmill
-ck the laundry to see if it actually is dry
-list for tomorrow

I wrote my OMM List, on notebook paper, there are 35 things listed, but some things don't need to be done, until mid-year, unless I want to get an earlier start on them.

My #1 LOL is drying; #2/last LOL is on a timer, to start in 1 hour.

I had a "challenge" come up, it didn't work out, so I needed to ask for help from someone else. I thanked him profusely, told him how much I appreciated it, and had a good cry. I got frustrated. It has something to do with my work-job, my eye-sight, and sometimes "things" just don't work right. But I'm glad he helps me with it. I think, sometimes, we need to bite/hide our pride and ask for help. We might be surprised how much others enjoy giving help.

I'm eating leftovers for dinner; don't know what DH will eat. I haven't been hungry today, but ate light. I'm counting calories again, because I have a weigh-in in 2 weeks again, so want it to be favorable. Also, I'm trying to plan ahead for holiday celebrations, and New Years. If I'm good now, I can indulge a bit, or else I'll bulge a bit too much. Have a mid-Jan. weigh-in again, plus a b-day, so don't want to be eating out on my b-day, having cake, and stuff, with a weigh-in looming. People CAN celebrate without everything being a pork-out binge, too.

My marching orders early this morning were to delight in normalcy today. Part of that did happen. I got a second load of laundry done beyond the dailes, for instance. But through the day of course I couldn't stay on track as well.

Part of the day was spent on marching orders for the trip directions for Angel Tree volunteers Saturday. Cannot explain why our small church was given 2 homes in big city, 4 miles from each other :?: and a home 40 minutes away in another direction, and yet another 40 minutes away in a third direction. There are 3 counties represented among the 25 children.

Dd and I printed name labels for the small handouts for each household and bundled in baggies by household, and for the ones with confusing trips I added directions inside the baggie. It's complicated because there's something different for each age group. So with name labels, I figure the folks who deliver will feel more confident.

Oh, Lilac, so sorry you said something you later wished you hadn't. BTDT!

Kathryn, I was thinking maybe I was missing something yesterday. Thanks for clearing that up. I do remember you talking about this friend.

My Dsis files invention ideas, to get inventions patented, before going out on the market. I told her my idea, why it was good, and how I think the features I listed to her, were important ones, which would sell. I think she'll like it! I can hardly wait until she emails back, after she's read it.

#2/last LOL is in the washer, awaiting its transfer into the dryer, and then Kitty Cat will be very happy with me that the laundry basket is, once again, empty! It's so nuts, how she sniffs it, then looks up at me, as though she's smiling about it! It's so funny that I laugh, just thinking about it. WHY would a cat "care" how many dirty clothes are in the basket or not? It's beyond me!

I have 2 friends, I sent mailers to, on 12-1-14, whom have not received them yet. I'm hoping they'll receive them on the 9th or 10th, and they did NOT get "lost" in the mail. I'm thankful we mailed them on Dec. 1 and no later!

My 1 friend who had a cataract removed, progressively is seeing more and more blurry now. She needs to now use a magnifier to do her crossword puzzle with and to read the newspaper. On Friday, she gets a corneal transplant on that eye. I hope her vision will improve for her. I got out the name, address, and phone #, to Maxi Aids, who furnish fancy/nice magnifiers, some to be used hands-free, like one I own. I'm certain they'll be able to help her, too.

There's not much on TV until 8 p.m., so DH is looking at TCM shorts until then. I need to write my PODA and get out a.m. clothes, and take my nighttime shower, too. I'd love to complete my heather grey scarf tonight, so I can wear it with the matching hat and cardigan with a border with heather grey in it.

Tonight, a storm comes, for tonight and all day Tuesday. It'll be heavy rains, breezy, and all of our rivers, in Western WA State are at/near flood stage or crested. On Wednesday/Thursday, it'll pour rain even heavier, there will be downed trees/power outages, and very, very gusty winds. DH has a retirees luncheon to attend on Thursday, so the freeway drive for him may prove "dicey".

I hope to get the dining room china cabinet cleaned this week sometime. I wished it was brighter outdoors, making the job easier, but the china cabinet has ceiling lights to it, to help aid in seeing the glass shelves and mirrored back better/easier.

I need to run and dry that last LOL, etc... Have a very nice evening and good night, with a good sleep, and happy Tuesday, too. I got out my display card, which states: "TRY-IT TUESDAY!" :P
TC & TTFN. ;) Waving at you all, too! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

This evening was fun. We don't do enough "fun" things around here.

After our dinner, we were to drive around and look at lights. DH says, "Let's go out and look at Roy's house" and I wasn't thrilled because it's out a long country road. Anyway, out we go and then drive by his house and continue on long winding country roads with no houses, and I held on as long as I could...before saying anything. I could "feel" DH had something up his sleeve. He took me to a place way out in nowhere that has more lights than I've EVER seen anywhere! I'm sure this lit up the skies so a satellite could see it! The house was on a lake and besides the house and yard, the lake was lit all around even the other side. There was a way to drive all the way around and through this thing.

So after we went back into town we drove to another spot we found a few years ago and it was even prettier than I remembered. So we had fun.

FFriend, I hope some of your rain makes it way down into California. They need the water there.

My file bin arrived. It's going to work nicely. Another project to do!

friend that's great about the patent idea.

today for me is hopeful Tuesday
I have things that need to be done but my days don't always follow the way I had intend. :D

I am hoping to finish my bathroom cards as I never got to them on my usual day - Monday.
