Hello to EVERYONE!!!

I guess I've been working smart today -- I spent FIVE HOURS at dmom's, paying bills, organizing papers that were piled on the kitchen table (again!), throwing out junk mail, filing paperwork... * whew *
Of course, about half of that time went more slowly than necessary b/c dmom was talking to me -- but then the last half of the time, I was alone while she and my aunt went to pick up dmom's old/daunt's new Tahoe. Dmom bought a new, smaller SUV, and she is just giving her old Tahoe to daunt b/c it is newer than daunt's. I asked dmom if this was going to cause more problems for dmom re: duncle, and she said no, she had asked him if he would have any bad feelings towards her giving daunt (his sister) a gift like that, and she said he said no, that daunt really needed a new vehicle.

So... that is how I spent my afternoon, and I brought home all the 2014 papers to file here. This is totally unbelievable... but at least 2013 is now ready to go to the tax man, dmom says... and MAYBE we can get her started out right in 2015. She says she's had another "come to Jesus" moment and has turned over a new leaf. I don't mean to sound skeptical... but I am skeptical. :?

Tonight, we went to church and saw dgs in his very first Christmas play. LOL -- all he and the other toddlers did was ring bells while the children's choir sang Jingle Bells. It was a really good play though. DH and I enjoyed it all very much. Then we went out to eat and we just got back home.

I need to cuop and see what's wrong w/FF's mom... and I'm probably missing a whole lot more stuff...

Thinking about that a-river stuff... I don't have prime, but I have enjoyed the ease of online ordering this season VERY much. One problem though... I bought dh a pair of jeans and I'm pretty sure he's not going to like them. Don't know if I can return them or not. * sigh *

I am soooooo ready for this move to be over. I go as hard as I can from 5am to noon then 1pm to 8pm but don't seem to be making enough progress to reflect how hard I'm going. I keep telling myself that if I keep at it, eventually it will get done! If I could just focus on moving it would be faster but that isn't an option.

This morning I worked at BH cooking 3 meals for today, cleaning and putting away items I moved yesterday.
This afternoon I worked a couple hours at old house. While 2 loads of laundry was washing I packed 6 boxes and disassembled the roll top desk so it is ready to move.
Then I picked LO up from school and took him to dentist appointment. Filled SUV up, did quick Sam's trip for items on buy list, stopped by dollar store and bought baskets for organizing stuff, dropped off a bag at GW and then took LO to karate class. We arrived home 6 minutes before time to start his bedtime routine. While LO did that I unloaded SUV and put those items away. I have over 10K steps today without any treadmill time.

DH had a CT scan on Friday and I keep forgetting to get him to call urologist for results. Hopefully no news is good news but something is causing DH to be in pain. DH just ignores the pain and keeps going. He works harder than I do.

Two weeks until Christmas?!?! OH my. A part of me knows it is coming up fast but I'm mostly ignoring it for now. I haven't moved the Christmas decorations yet, so nothing is decorated.

We have Great Granddaughter birthday to celebrate this week and next week is DGD3 birthday celebration. I spent some time today making arraignments to be out of town a couple days next week for that. I was concerned LO wouldn't be able to miss 2 days of school next week but he is going to be okay. They can miss 10 days each semester and LO will be at 9 days. I didn't turn in a note from doctor when LO had surgery so those 6 days of missing school are not showing as excused.

Tomorrow is another day. I'm thankful we are healthy enough to go this hard.

The snow has drifted almost 5' high against the dining room patio door.

I've posted a picture here:

Off to bed now.

The grocery flyers came a full day early this week but I got them when I picked up the mail. Must remember to go get ground pork tomorrow before the sale for this week ends.

Dh looked out at the storm and is glad choir was cancelled. That doesn't mean driving will be any better tomorrow. According to the radio, we'll double the amount of snow we have now by then. Still under a foot, but with drifting probably more (despite what's against my patio door.)

It's official, I am nuts! Tonight we endured another almost 3 hour rehearsal. They need parent volunteers to sit in the balcony with the girls until it is time to take them down to perform, bring them back up, take them back down for the finale. Dd2 had volunteered to help at each performance. I ended up volunteering also. I will be with dd2 both times. When we are doing dgd5's dance, since there are several other mothers, I will stay upstairs and keep an eye on dgd3. We neither one, trust her to stay put. She sits on an aisle seat on the second row. We can just see going and looking over the railing. We are not taking any chances. Dd2 told me that both girls want to take a break from dance, next semester. They want to take winter swim lessons. Since they have a pool, they are needed.

I need to head to bed. Tomorrow I have the eye appointment and a whole lot of cleaning to do...................

Kathryn made me curious, so I checked our weather forecast. No storms at all in our 10 day forecast, though some rain is forecast for next week. It looks like we're going to have a warm snap for a few days. The forecast is for upper 40s Sunday and Monday! And it will stay above freezing for a few days. I wonder if we'll have a white Christmas after all? There's still plenty of time. All of two weeks.

I got some presents wrapped tonight. Dd16 joined me in watching LOTR. We chose the 2nd half of film #1.

I'm going to bed now.
