ToddlerN has been a pill about napping every where but here. Parents were at tneir wits end.

Today I just let her play way past nap time and wind down a bit gave her the new Lords Prayer book for kids to look at. An early gift for her to take to her mom's to look at early no fussing. She did get back up once but I sent her back to bed. I let her nap on the couch sometimes and move her to her bed.

Dishes are unloaded, last load of laundry is going. I got the fresh straw in the coop and run but some fresh leaves too.

We made corn bread for lunch.

The kitchen needs to have the traffc areas mopped. Did you hear
N. Korea net is down? Oh my. (sarcisum) wonder how that happened.

I have a plan for dinner!

<SIGH> My car will be more expensive than originally thought. Also, it may not be ready tonight, which means even more expense on the rental. <SIGH>

Progress!

PODA/OMM for today
-groceries DONE
-bonuses for temple employees (I told office manager I couldn't get to bank etc. until after Hanukkah dinner) GOT CASH AND CARDS< WILL PUT TOGETHER & DROP OFF TOMORROW

-routines around here - need to catch up on laundry
-buy bagels at Panera - Bought some Publix Bagels
-list of meds and print off last year's blood work in prep for new doc visit tomorrow DONE
-verify time of doc appt and body work appt for tomorrow DONE
-ck on ordered gift for dmom - DONE - "Out for delivery" today, but I don't find it delievered?

-find and wrap already purchased hostess gift for Christmas eve, buy baby and child gift for the two kids there?
-what else I haven't thought of

This time:
-put together cash and cards for temple employees
-address card for newspaper carrier
-fax form to GA county county probate court re: dsis' house
-list for tomorrow
-walk the ddogs, if not raining

((Elizabeth)) BTW, I had a little giggle about your discussion of the "friend" yesterday. P and D (who are friends) have a male friend living with them - divorced, house foreclosed, lost job, everything went wrong apparently in his life - and he asked me awhile back to be introduced to a friend at temple. She would never in a million years be attracted to him (and she has never indicated she would be attracted to a man or woman in the more than 20 years I've known her.) Last thing I can imagine her to be pleased about.

Anxiously awaiting report on Lucylee's date with the doctor.

Monday Lunch Bunch Christmas party was a success. Mr. Guy wants me to forget it next Christmas but I have a hard time with that. It is quite a job putting it together when I am limited for space and don't have all my own dishes, etc. to work with. One couple offered to host it next Christmas. We shall see.

Tomorrow is Tamale Day. I have had a hankering for some good tamales so looked up a place here in Mesa. We will go early because the best ones (everyone's favorite chicken) goes fast.

Everyone seems happy and working toward the big day. :)

Been up and moving it since 5 a.m., without a nap, received 2 gifts, from neighbor-friends, and delivered gifts to a 98.5-year-old dear friend. Chatted awhile. Came home, sorted mail, went on-line, got a contract acceptance, took care of that, DH mailed it for me, to go out ASAP, as they need it within or on 7 days, and since the holiday is coming on Thursday, wanted it to get a good start back to NY. Am happy I sold the story. See the G. I. Dr. later this week, so am getting ready for that and the holiday, too.

Not much time to really CUOP posts, so am quickly doing a C. I., but wanted to say hello and wish everybody a Merry Christmas, if you celebrate it, and for those who do not, Happy Holidays to you, too.

Am very busy washing/drying, etc... scraps, remnants, and getting things all sorted and ready to go ASAP.

Have a GR8 night, too! Waving at you ALL! :D :D

And I am done with that round also. Will hang up the delicates that I just washed, and maybe start another round of the darker delicates.

I am trying to figure out what I did with the gift for friend M. We will be there for Christmas eve (cross cultural celebration! :D ) and my birthday on Wednesday p.m.

Dadgummit. Just realized that dkids were to be at psych doc's office this afternoon at 4 p.m. It was on my calendar, and I had given the info to dkids and I just totally forgot to remind them. Rats. Rats. Rats. Will need to call and see if I can reschedule before they go back to school. This is the doc who writes ADD scripts for ds and monitors his anxiety, and likewise, monitors dd. With the genes for mental illness running rampant in my family, I hope it at least helps keep them aware.

Speaking of family mental illness, last night on Ancestry, I ran across the death certificate of daunt (sister of dmom) who committed suicide in 1957 when dmom was pregnant with my dsis. Daunt jumped from a fourth floor window - death certificate even states what street injury occurred (tho not cross street, so couldn't pinpoint location from info provided.) Says death resulted from fractured skull. Thinking what a burden my dmom has carried for so many years as she's never told me much about it. She ended up going to court to have her oldest dsis committed to state mental institution, much like I am doing for dsis.

Need to reboot laundry, then take the rest of the evening off. Dfriend in cardiac ICU is not doing well. Dh was hoping to finish bowling early enough to go by to see him. He's having atrial fibrillation and dh says he is also confused about what's happening to him.

Cooked dinner. The recipe needs an egg white. I have a cookie recipe that needs an extra yolk so I made cookies. Got them mixed up while dinner was in the oven, they chilled while we ate and then I baked them up.

Did up the grocery and planning lists and headed off to the grocery store with dh as my sherpa. It went very well. I'm using an app called Flipp and I highly recommend it. My store price matches with it. On my phone, I pay $2 each time I want to use data (it is good for 24 hours.) So I paid for the data and saved $15 on the order. Plus was able to price check the humidifier I bought. That knocked 13% off the price of my food, pretty good savings.

Now that I've written out what we are eating tomorrow, I can set the table. But first I'm making up the cranberry sauce (another item not on my list.)

Dh has the presents out to wrap. We have to do that before bedtime. Ds will be here in the morning to sleep the day here and the wrapping supplies are in his room.

Twins, that is a sad thing in your family.
Lucylee, I'm glad you went to the dr. and at least checked on yourself.
Lilac, hope you are not doubly stiff and sore tomorrow from your fall.
MT, I agree with BookS. I stack up my dishes in the soaking water also, just like she said.
Elizabeth, bummer about the car. I wanted to tell you we had a '91 Mercury Sable. We'd been told they were the exact same car as the Ford Taurus, just made by different manufacturer. Mine was hatchback stationwagon. We liked it except we kept having transmission problems. Transmission shop told us '91 was the first year they used an electronic transmission. So, you'd said you couldn't find another Taurus, but you might look for a Sable, just don't ever get a '91!

I am worn out, stressed, sad, angry, I have a headache and sinus problems and I'm hungry but nothing seems right to eat. This weekend I managed to get the cookies done, today I visited my friend in the nursing home and dropped off cookies at dsmil's.

DH had a really really bad day at work and we had to work on things all evening long. He worked till dark and I had to go a long drive to pick them up and then after getting home we had to go out and move another truck from different location. I'm truly overwhelmed right now.
