LOL! Elizabeth, I definitely didn't tell HRH's joke very well if you took it literally. He was joking about dodging the traffic without a clear "go" signal, and what the light would be saying to drivers as they took their chances between the oncoming cars.

Young man had to come by and get the paperwork to allow he and dd to go to the prom. Schools are very careful these days - have to know who is coming, parents have to know, etc. Suppose that is for the best.

We had pizza. Not much attention to healthy foods today. HRH did not actually have a conversation with young man, but he chatted in general and made him feel welcome... ... ish. :)

Hi all. I don't have time to cuops. I'm learning to manage my new schedule. It is 10:30 pm here, and I just got home from the groc. store and put away the groceries. I still have one more prep to do for tomorrow.

I've started tracking time I spend on payroll, including contact hours (classroom or tutoring), prepping (lesson plans, creating/finding extra materials, making quizzes, making syllabi or attendance sheets, etc.), grading, time at the school spent on other relevant activities, like conversations with my supervisor or other teachers re: teaching, copying, admin. type stuff, tweaking/reviewing plans, looking at supplementary materials, etc. So far, it has been 8 hours today. I am not counting transportation time. And as I said, I still need to finish a prep for subbing in my supervisor's class tomorrow. It's a TOEFL prep class, so I'm excited to try something different. Also, I'm tutoring 2 students in TOEFL prep, so it will be helpful to me as well.

I had no time this morning to do anything other than prep for tutee R and classes. I got to the school 40 minutes before my first class, and that wasn't quite enough time to do everything I'd wanted to do. . . . .

I was out to payroll today from 12:35 - 6:25. I then got dinner together (I'm so grateful for leftovers!), ate w/ dh (dd16 was out watching her BFF's water polo game), cleaned up with dh, emailed wed. night crew, got the groc. list together, went to the store, put everything away.

Tomorrow, my plan is to go in to work around 8:15. The class I'm subbing starts at 9:00 (really, 9:10). After I'm finished with the class, I'm going to stay at the school and work on lesson plans for my 2 classes, create a quiz for each class, create a review sheet for 1 class, create an attendance sheet for 1 class. I'll take some time to eat lunch, which I'll bring with me. I'll then teach my class 1:30 - 3:30 - and then go home. I should hopefully be home around 4:15 and have over 2 hours before friends arrive for Wed. dinner. I might use that time to go for a jog. . . I will probably get laundry going too.

OK, off I go for that last prep. .. .
