Elizabeth, so sorry about the strange weekend plans-change. Sounds like you salvaged it.

Nancy, I hope next time they all realize that you need to know what's going on.

Hi to Lynlee.

Straightened out our denomination office's error, and called around for info for them which I will report tomorrow a.m. Further Desk Day for church took a good bit of time.

Grocery shopping. Exercise.

Lots of cousin calls. I do have nice cousins, by and large. I'm pleased we keep up with each other.

The one thing I haven't told about yesterday is that no sooner than I had posted here and HRH was about to serve the banana ices, dstepson confided he was feeling very sick. It came upon him suddenly and before we knew it he walked outdoors and was vomiting. This went on for a while as I brought him water and wet paper towels to try to help. Ultimately, he has decided that the restaurant breakfast he had was the culprit. He went home and slept the rest of the day, poor thing.

LadyMaverick, seems like you and I are living parallel lives with lawn mower issues and rain in the forecast. The guy picked up our mower and said if we need them to bring it back to call. I told him to please return it after servicing because my dh won't be able to lift anything over 10 lbs. for more than 2 weeks.

Went to several places looking for a dress for graduation. I didn't find anything that I liked, so guess I will just go with a dressy capri set and call it good.

Tonight I went with dd2 and dgd18 to watch dgs11s spring choir concert.

I picked up a few items at WM today. I bought an anniversary card for my Avon lady and her dh. When I got home, she called to check on my dh. I need to get graduation cards that I bought today for dnephew and his dw. He has his bachelors degree and she has her associates. Very proud of them. They have 3 kids, jobs and still managed college classes.

I just can't seem to get rested up. I think that I ran on overdrive for 2 months getting ready for the carpet laying, losing dsisil and then getting ready for dh's surgery that now I am exhausted.

Dd2 is getting ready for dgd18s graduation party on Friday night. I haven't volunteered to help. Dd2s birthday is Thursday. I thought I might fix supper for them and take it to their house. That way they don't have to go out to eat or go get something. Since dh will be gone, I could spend the evening there doing something, even if it is just cleaning the kitchen.

When I left dd2s tonight, she walked me outside and I told her that the large pot of different flowers sitting there was beautiful. She told me she was glad I liked it because it was my Mother's Day gift. I left it in the garage for tonight because it is suppose to be a light frost. Crazy weather for May.

BookSaver I can't believe it's time for summer reading programs! A nice family time - sounds fun.

Cathy I was thinking about Wayne and his sister buying their mother the same card. Are they similar persons with similar outlook on life, that sort of thing? It's kinda nice they each would look at groupings of cards at different times/places and come up with the same thought about wishes for their mother. In a way, whatever nice thing the card may have said "goes double" for her!

I took advantage of a sale for the holiday and bought a bunch of tops. (Needed) 2 are very like a style I've bought before and enjoyed, in different colors. 2 are in the same nice fabric as a top for which I received many compliments a few years ago. The interesting thing is that none of these are polo style! LOL! So not my usual "uniform". Oh, and one more purchase is a new nightgown - replacing one like it that has been greatly loved and suddenly the sleeve ripped! I think I finally wore the fabric/seam out! Good old soft thing!

Hi again everyone! It is almost midnight, and I still have three things to do: cat care, pack lunch for tomorrow, and lay out clothes for tomorrow. I got most of my stuff done: delivered the glasses, got duplicate key for car and installed lockbox to hold it, email catchup (which told me I had no church webwork tasks), animal org minutes and notes, small amount of cleanup. I did not glue the chair or get all the cleanup done. Good night!
