Re: Tuesday on the Run
LOL, Helia, I knew it was Ramadan also. Dd's professor noted that it reduces the opportunities for kids in Jordan to go out partying. Dd will be in Paris in 3 hours.

Re: Tuesday on the Run
Home again, home again... and so sorry to hear of painful episodes with (((Dee))) and (((LadyM)))!!!
Also sad to hear that Harriet's dd lost her roommate -- and sorry for the roommate, b/c I can sooo imagine that happening to ME!
Our trip was fine... although immediately after I posted Sunday evening, things turned pretty tense. I'm not even going to go into it here... but suffice it to say it has to do with a mother-in-law (me) who can't keep her big mouth SHUT re: thoughts on prospective baby names. Ended up making EVERYONE miserable -- and learned that apparently ds/ddil have been miserable since my comments were overheard several weeks ago. So just added dh's and my own miserable mood to the mix Sunday. BUT... many apologies and it seemed things were better Monday.
I really, REALLY need to learn that apparently my "innocent" opinions carry just as much weight with ds/ddil as my own ddad's did with me... and can be just as troubling.
* sigh * Wish I WASN'T quite so much my father's child.
Monday was fun, although it rained some. DGS was so good. He still is not much for sitting still in his stroller and watching a musical performance, even when his da-da is performing... but he was better than I expected. And he really enjoyed one of the other entertainers, which amused us all so much.
Today, more rain was predicted and the only show we really really wanted to see would not be starting until almost 9:00 p.m. so this morning we decided to eat and head on home, rather than be coming in sometime after 4:00 a.m.
Tomorrow -- back to normal life around here. Trash compactor will probably arrive bright and early, and I have to return books to the library. Also must go to Wmart tomorrow. Thursday, I have plans to let dcousin do a thorough inside/outside clean-up of our SUV, and I hope to visit w/daunt while he is doing that. I'll have dgs with me, so I'm kinda nervous about asking daunt to let us visit that long, but I think she will be fine with having us, if she is home. If she is not, I'll just find some place shady for us to wait it out and take dgs's coloring books and stuff.
So hope Dee is feeling better soon, and that LadyM has no more back pain! Glad to hear MT is doing okay, apparently, and thinking of all our village children who are venturing out of the nest this summer.
