Re: Daily Food Diary - January
helia, SlimFast helps me take my supplements very comfortably (a thick drink) and puts a treat in my hand, serving to keep me from drinking any less-healthy drink. It tastes good and maybe keeps me from hunger for a while (research shows it will keep you from hunger for longer than a burger, but that is all about impressions, really, lots of variables). When I'm alone here, it helps keep me from dirtying more dishes or spending as much time on meal prep. When I have one, I usually add one of my half-sandwiches, which makes the lunch meal they picture on their site for my weight range's daily meal plan. (I actually got the idea for half-sandwiches by reading that site.)
Monday Eating -
6 large frozen strawberries, warmed, over Special K waffle
with 1/4 cup chocolate chips, 1 cup 2 % milk
egg salad and lettuce half-sandwich with SlimFast
chicken strips (3), roll, sugar-snap peas
enchilada
maple oatmeal for dessert
small Pepsi
Tuesday Eating -
Kashi Apple Orchard cereal with milk
egg salad half-sandwich with lettuce, SlimFast
Cheeseburger, small Pepsi
Large tossed salad
1/4 large avocado, 1/3 cucumber
Wednesday Eating
apple
egg salad half-sandwich with lettuce, SlimFast
1/2 cup potato salad
small serving of Pad Thai
small serving of pinto beans
slaw, 1/2 cup
small Pepsi

I do eat a lot, don't I? I mean, I'm looking at what I'm eating compared to Indiana & some of the rest of y'all, and I'm thinking... ooohhh...
But it doesn't SEEM like a lot when I'm eating.

Re: Daily Food Diary - January
I agree, lucylee. Not that you eat a lot but that Indiana doesn't eat very much. I'm concluding she must be a small person. Are you a small person, Indiana?

Re: Daily Food Diary - January
No I'm not small. I'm 5'10. I'm trying to get back to my normal eating.
I went too long not eating and it became a habit.
I'm getting there. My normal calories when eating enough are 1600 to 2000 per day.
When you made the comment lucylee I looked at what you eat compared to what I eat when eating normally.
lucylee PLEASE I'm not being critical comparing what you eat and what I eat. Each of us has our own eating habits. We do what works for us.
You are eating what works for you. What works for me is different.
There are some differences. I eat more fruits and vegetables and milk. I also eat different starches. My starches are more "natural" bread, and vegetable starches like potato, peas, corn and grains than processed starches. Also I don't eat as many sweets. I do eat sweets but they are a different type of sweet like fruits, yogurt, jello, SF pumpkin pie filling, apple calfouti, baked apples, etc. They aren't the refined sweets. Maybe my chocolate kiss at night is considered refined.

I am not a small person either, but I wish I were.
