Thank you all so much for thinking of me today - very kind.

I am okay, I just napped for 3 hours after arriving home. They gave me half the benedril as last time but it still has this effect on me, plus of course it was an extremely social, kinda adrenaline day. We left at 7:00, to arrive at 8, and I did the blood draw alone because HRH was dealing with a new parking procedure. Not really a problem, just a little antsy about "losing" each other in the big place since it has happened once.

Then dr appt where my vitals were good. Dr. went over all the blood work and I had successes as far as being able to come off one med, and bringing my potassium up into normal range with diet alone. I am, however, anemic, which is not a surprise but hopefully will correct soon. She has added RBCell and WBCell counts to the bloodwork I will have on the 7th with my Gen Prac on day 5 of this cycle. Hoping I am not sick that day.

Then to the infusion where we did not have a glitch of time-waste this time. When blood pressure went down (and it did) HRH and I took that into our own hands. I insisted on taking a walk holding my IV, and he teased me (and giggling nurses) with inflammatory statements obviously designed to irritate me and push a wife's buttons. One way or another, the next blood pressure was good, and they capped it there, recording it as the final of the day. Whew - no delays because of vitals this time. Without any other reason to slow the pace of meds (last time they did little bits of one at a time that stretched it out for an additional hour as well - some people are sensitive ) we were able to return home 2.5 hours earlier than the last time when dd26 stayed the last half of day with me.

So, a 7:00 a.m. to 4:45 day. Might as well say 10 hours away. Tobias was appalled because this time we had not arranged anyone else giving him a meal, treat or attention. But we started asking "hungry?" as soon as we came in the door, and he loudly forgave us.

Dr has given me some tips on nausea that I think may help some this time.

I need to add up my calories - they have such a pampering kitchen there full of nice things and even though the choices I had brought or prepared myself were really wise, I did add in some of their choices by mid-afternoon. Did not eat supper, though. Trying to stay within that calorie count and tomorrow is another day.

lucylee, I hope you get to feeling better and find some interesting things to do.

Twins' Mom, I sent that recipe along to dd26. I think she would benefit from a crock-pot meal she could start in the a.m. at the time she leaves and dsonil could turn off at the time he gets home. That one sounds about right.

I spent $38 on a bunch of bullet journal printables. Just a digital download. I feel stupid. I don’t think I’m going to start doing a bullet journal. I’ll pretend my mom gave it to me for Christmas.
Thank you, Harriet, for thinking of me in the midst of your long day.

You too, blessed. You have more than plenty to occupy yourself too.

I know this will pass… the holidays will be over and I’ll get my house back to “normal” and this biopsy will be over, for good or bad. But right now, I’m just scared and sad.
