We ate out last night - my scale was up a bit, but was down nicely the last two days so I'll give a meal out its due in terms of sodium and flour. I had pork scallopini - breaded and pan fried - and it had a wonderful sauce on it. Ate half the order and saved in refrigerator here. I rounded the meal with half a Caesar salad - something that dh and I do often - and a glass of prosecco. 8 K steps with four walks around the block with ddog, in spite of being upstairs in class most the day.

Today is the 14th of the month so I am doing comparison of the first week (7 days) to the second week (7 days). I am also comparing to last month. This is a ME vs ME comparison.
** Sleep is excellent staying steady at 8 to 9 hours. Last month average was 9 to 10 hours, but winter always has more sleep hours.
** Hydration is a habit that is steady at over 100oz. My daily drinks are prepared in the morning and are always finished.
** Calories are averaging 154 less than last week. This month to last month comparison shows a 50 calorie decrease.
** Moving my body is increasing. Average daily steps are increasing 1452 this week compared to last week. My average is now 6716. Hourly body movement (250+ steps) is increasing with 10 hours compared to 8 hours last week.
** Weight. I have a 0.3 gain this week compared to last week. The birthday celebration weekend was not kind to the scales. This month compared to last month shows .4 loss.
So all in all, the metrics are doing okay. I am trying to be patient with the slow weight loss and not get mad about it. I prefer faster weight loss but am clueless how to achieve it without wrecking my long-term health.
I am thankful to have a body that is pain free with energy to do things that interest me. In the big picture, that is what i hope to have all the days of my life.

“it gets easier, but you have to do it every day. That’s the hard part.”
Establishing boundaries and maintaining them seems to be a full-time focus.

Girl Scout cookies have made an appearance at my house. I should have sent the remaining sealed box to temple with dh this morning. Those little things are noisy once they're opened, they've been calling my name.
