It's 9:40. This is my last post of the day.

I got all my goals done - except for jogging. However, I did walk a little bit, though not a lot, as I had to walk to and from the campus garage to the school and I walked around the grocery store. Surprisingly, I got over 5K steps.

I'm going to bed soon. I'm tired, and I'm meeting the personal trainer at 8 a.m. tomorrow.

Main Goals today:
1. Payroll: prep and teach AAS D13 (final exam)
2. Visit Mom

3. Jog
4. Get groceries
5. Laundry progress
6. Dinner: lentils, rice, roasted broccoli

Next:
- get ready for bed

Later:
- jog

Big WTG on hitting those goals, helia!

Wednesday
Mini grooming session for dog
Went down a rabbit hole trying to find out how much my pension will be. The website appeared to be cooperating, but when I saved the page of my contributions that is needed for the calculations, it quietly stripped off all of the amounts before saving, and when I tried to get the website to calculate it for me, it told me that I am already receiving the pension.
Went on to book Germane’s next grooming just before my trip to db’s house.
They have changed their web site and after an unpleasantly finicky session, I went down in flames on the vaccination information. It wanted the expiry date but wouldn’t say for which vaccination, (I assume rabies but it might be bordetella) and they wanted me to attach a copy of the vaccination certificate which means either setting up the scanner that is currently boxed up or taking a picture on my phone and transferring up to Google Docs and then back down to my computer before I can attach it, and that means that I would have to actually find it first.
Threw up my hands and called the grooming salon and left a message.
Spiffed self
Walked dog
Stopped at apartment office to check if I can discard the old shower hose–yes
Went to bank and deposited OAS cheque
Went to health food store. They were out of eggs. Bought other stuff.
Went to the top-tier grocery store to shop the sales. Bought lots of stuff.
Went to Canadian Tire to buy something that I have been meaning to pick up for a long time.
Went home
Checked in with db
Put away cold groceries
Brought dog down with me to bring up the rest of the groceries.
Brought the plant stand and a small organizer unit to the basement
Brought up a plastic shelving unit to use as a plant stand on the balcony. It will have to be taken apart and reassembled before I tie it to the railings and bring the plants out.

Goals
Short Term
Find the Benedryl that I bought for Germane
FACE Finances
Deposit OAS cheque–Done
Change out towels–Done
Laundry–done
Groceries–done
Run the dw
Phone visit with db
Dog medicated wash
Wash hair–done
Bring recycling to basement
Play with new window washing gadget.
Access government web site–done
Apply for pension–done
Went through flyers–done
Set up shopping list–done
Check Tires

Phew. Well only a small shower before ds was done school. Bible study was wonderful. I managed to Shampoo the rug in 2 sections with planting in between. Wow the rug was bad. It isn't perfect but much better. Ds did a bunch of herb pots while I put the seeds in the garden. Oh and the big brandywine tomato. And a rhubarb. Here's to cats not digging up the plants.

Oh they made some mess of the rug there were spots under the couch. Ugh.

I ignored Casper except playing with him while we were outside. Supper is almost done and then I should attempt a walk. Unless he puts up with snuggles and chew toy in the house. I'm tired 😫

That sounds like a successful day, Lauralind. Hopefully Casper is up for a restful time together.

I have had a sit-down and sustenance, so I should be able to squeeze in a little more work. It's baffling how, with 3 days to work on the apartment, I have less room to walk around. Too much half done.

And to anyone who believes that I eat healthy, I had a piece of my cornbread with toppings: hummus, pesto and Boursin. And a big helping of french fries.

Here's a mystery: McCains frozen fries are made by the McCain family in New Brunswick where they are surrounded by potatoes. And they are next door to PEI, which I understand to be all potatoes. On the other side, they are next to Quebec, which also grows potatoes. The two McCain brothers argued, and the younger one stormed off to Toronto and started the rival Cavendish Farms, which makes frozen fries. While I don't think that they grow potatoes within Toronto city limits, the neighbouring communities grow a LOT of potatoes. So why do neither McCain nor Cavendish fries say Product Of Canada or even Made in Canada? Not even Prepared In Canada, which is almost meaningless. I ended up buying the store brand, because it DID have Made In Canada on the bag.

Oh yes doggedly for sure there are so many things that are not made in Canada. You could spend a lot of time researching to find only Canada made products and a lot of people do.

Fries work lol. And at least here Cavendish is cheaper. Store brand is fine too.

Thank you Casper. Fed him and found his one toy that stuffs food in and he contentedly took his bone.

Managed to put furniture back in place and I am done long as my legs let me take Casper back out.
