I just laugh at her, kittykatt, when she claims to be bored. I am not sure where she even picked that up. It isn’t something we say at my house and I am pretty sure her parents are either too busy or too exhausted to be bored! Yay for vacation, Dogged. How long are you off? The end of school is always a struggle, FFB. Here it seems to be once the state testing is done motivation for all is hard to find.

Hi all. Well I guess I will see what happens today. Home from church and we ended up going out for lunch with the pastor and wife and another couple and the missionary. She has an orphanage we support. I haven't heard of any plans and I probably won't initiate any. I should go finish digging the flower bed. Then I can move on. Get soil and put some plants in it.

I was having a hard time this morning again. Frustrated with all my unfinished projects and stuff everywhere and I just don't know how to finish anything so it looks nice in here. It's cluttery and worn and well I just don't know how to make it look nice in here. A little at a time I guess.

I should start by seeing if I can find the stud finder and put my shelving up. That will help.

Hi Laura. You have a lot on your plate. You might find some useful things if you look into Dana K White. She talks about house issues and talks about lot about strategies that have worked for her. She talks a lot about having project brain and how that makes certain things more difficult. Your mentioning of the projects made me think there might be something there for you. She has books, a podcast and a you tube channel. Trissie mentioned her awhile ago and I like her podcast.

Thanks lann. I'll have to look that up. I think my goals are all wrong and I want my house to look nice but I don't want to put in the effort.

I am so close to done that bed but so many rocks. And the one end is mostly gravel. I think what soil was there went further through the lawn on renovating. Lots of work

I remember things at school getting slacker and more casual by end of June, L.Ann. All of us shifting toward summer mode. I think it makes a difference that our summer vacations are so long that it felt like a true break between school years.

I can totally relate to looking around and being overwhelmed at the thought of how to make things nice, Lauralind. And you are being squeezed by family needs and have so much more take care of. You can only do as much as you can do.

Doggedly you're right about that too. I am struggling so much with balance and avoiding stuff and I thought I was getting better but....

Now I found out my aunt is already there and didn't realize she can't stay longer than tomorrow. I guess I will run out there for a bit after we eat. Ack.
