sometimes I wonder what people would think of me if they knew what I eat
This is a safe place. I have found nothing but advice, support, and encouragement here. I feel like each of us is our own toughest critic.
My eating is out of bounds, and I am having a challenging time bringing it back into the number range that I need to continue losing weight. I have the knowledge and experience to do it. I need to muster some grit and determination to get it done.

Sometimes it’s easy to lose your focus after you’ve been on a path like you have for the last year. I know it happens to me multiple times. Just take time to remind yourself where you would be now if you hadn’t started taking care of your health a year ago.

I'm still struggling to bring my food back into the number range that I need. I am tweaking my methods and trying new-to-me ways in hopes that something will click, and I can get back into my weight loss groove. One thing that I am VERY pleased with myself is that I have continued to record everything I eat in Cronometer. Honestly, I don't want to see those out of bounds numbers and having a factual record of my goofs, bad choices and mistakes isn't pleasant to look at. But being honest with myself is part of learning to eat what my body needs instead of what my emotions, social events, and impulsively desire to eat.

I have not been very regular here. I guess I have to take it as a win I'm getting things done in taking care of myself. Finally getting to some me appointments. I had blood work and complete checkup. Even ecg. And then she discovered that I was supposed to have colonoscopy repeat several years ago already. That is done and i came out better than last time. It's all clear too. Phew.
So the only thing I have to do atm is get my iron and b12 up. I was doing good at taking them and then like usual going out or people here or random change makes me lose the habit. I got really irregular for a bit. Then I was supposed to stop them a week before the test. Now it's done and I gotta recreate the habit. I can tell they were helping.
So now my goals are to get back to supplements. To get blood work done to make sure it's working. That was supposed to be 3 months after but it's probably all out of my system now. Book that for September? And next see if I can get something going for both dh and I for chiropractor /physio for muscle back pain.

I am still struggling to get my calories into the range that I need. I have been focusing on salads and vegetables which reduced my focus to get enough protein. My protein % has been steadily slipping down....down.....down. I used to keep it around 40% but now it is in the 20's. This has resulted in craving carbs in the evenings which I haven't experienced in many months. This gives me big clues that I need to double down with keeping my focus on the protein %. I am not giving up eating vegetables, but I am moving my priority focus to protein % and letting the vegetables fit in as they will
I feel like this is a huge immediate need, so I am adding the protein % goal into July habit to focus on.
BTW - this analysis of protein level needed is based on my detailed records of what works for MY body. I do not think what works for me will work for everyone else. The teens and DH eat mostly carbs.
