Hudson's Bay is pretty cold, helia, and travel up north is expensive, but there is one popular vacation spot on Hudson's Bay. It's Churchill, Manitoba. I don't know what the original purpose of the town was, but they accidentally built it on a polar bear migration route. So, every year polar bears would show up in town looking for someone to eat. So they got creative. Nobody locks their car doors in case a bear makes it into town and they have to jump in for safety. They set up huge traps for the bears (think live trap for cats, but really big) and the famous polar bear jail. If a bear tries to come into town, they shoot it with tranquilers and move it to bear jail. If the bear comes around the edges of town, it will find the bear traps baited with meat. The traps can be picked up by truck and driven to the bear jail. Once it's late enough in the season that the bears would normally be on their way, they take the bears out and release them. I think that bear tourism is now Churchill's biggest industry. People come from all over the world to see them.

Should I admit that I have not hung my laundry yet, L.Ann? The past few days my back has hurt after carrying Germane, so when I got back I sat down and started decluttering a To Go Through box. I got almost to the end when I ran out of energy, so I went and lay down. Now I'm going to walk Germane, and I do plan to hang the laundry after.

You can't beat those local summer tomatoes, Gma. A tomato sandwich is one of summer's great pleasures.
I'm glad that your mother's appointment went well. How nice that you were able to show another caregiver your system for transferring your mother.

I have walked Germane, and am giving my back another rest.

Brought Germane back to laundry room to flip laundry. I was surprised that she wanted to go back. Usually after the first trip to the laundry room, she just ignores me and sleeps in the bathroom.
