Casper is pretty good at puppy dog eyes too those big brown Sammy eyes. That's not a bad idea. She does usually walk the dogs ds said and she taught me a lot that helped to train him. She had me use a choker collar which I still have. Plus the prong collar which made a huge difference. I just got slack and let him get away with more than I should. Maybe he will remember some things. If anyone can manage Casper this girl can.

Helian ds27 lives here with ddil and Lil j. We're going to see dd24 and dsil. A d dh dad is up there too. It's more wintery up there than here. They've got a lot of snow. I'm hoping it is clearer soon for the drive.

I'm feeling better now... I hope so cause I'm going to turn the oven on in a bit and put frozen ribs and fries in the oven. I'm driving out for music practice as soon as supper is done. That will be it for the evening.

Looks liek it has been a busy day ehre.
I;ve been to a Saint Lucia festival at college. We had a breakfast with Swedish treats and cheesy baked eggs, plus a chapel service. I took a neighbor, who had never been; she enjoyed it immensely.
Bought a couple Christmas presents downtown
Gathered wrapping paper, brought a table up from the basement at mother's house to set up gift wrap station. ept getting interrupted, so it took quite a while.
DS picked up and delivered my Christmas tree, helped me set it up.
Spoke with a man whose wife died a few days after mother's funeral, he had visitation today, but it was at same time as the Lucia festivities, so I couldn't do both.
And had a long conversation with dfLR whose mother is in assisted living, needing more assistance than provided. Good news for LR is that there is a room being readied for her mother in the extra care (memory care) locked unit, and should be ready by mid week next week. LR is very tired and looing forward to not having to be with her mother so much. I'm sure her dh will appreciate having her home as well.

Now I 'm heading back to mother's to do some wrapping. I miss her help! even though sometimes i t seemed that her "help" took more time than no help.
And will eat supper there - from whatever I can find in the freezer. I think there are some good meatballs and there's some squash I baked hesterday. I'm trying to start reducing the contents fo the freezers at mother's, then I will work on mine too. But just one person, it will take a while!
and every time I look at the clock, more time has gone by than I would have thought.

Does anyone remember the calendar I lost? I had bought it as fundraiser for the shelter that I had adopted Momentum from, and lost the calendar before 2025 started. I finally gave up and ordered a second one. Well, I just found it.

I hope that your Hopkins appointment goes well, L.Ann.

I hope that she can help with Casper, Lauralind. If he could learn to walk more reliably, you would be able to take him more often without risking injury.

Good luck with the wrapping, Gma. I hope that there are no interruptions this time. That is good strategy to use up what is in the freezer.

Thursday
Misc tidying
Put away dry dishes

Kittykatt, I’ve copied your game rules for the party, will try it out. Interesting about animals and language. Does their ability to pick up whatever language their owner make them multilingual?

Thanks for the game idea, trissie. I’ll see what games I have. Uno might be good.

Dogged, you definitely want a crisp lettuce, wait til last minute to add the sour cream mixture and know that it gets soggy if left out which isn’t desirable.
Yay? on finding your calendar!

LAnn, I’d like that tuba orchestra too, I also was thinking it was only tubas and after years of kids in band and listening to their friends do tuba warm ups, I wasn’t too keen on it. I have aways enjoyed seeing the Clydesdales. As a child that’s what I wanted for a pet.

Gma, maybe your friend could help you empty out the refrigerators. ;)

Laura, I’m glad you’re feeling better. I’m bad about not reinforcing lessons with my pets. Just started back today on Beau’s commands so he can learn to focus on me while off leash. Our yard is usually private but there has been an occasional wanderer and he needs to be careful.

Smile, the blankets sound like a great gift. Enjoy your meal and company.

I got involved in paper clutter and never came back. Sent dh out for supper since it was kind of late to cook and he didn’t mind. Now I’m wide awake and need to get up early to run errands tomorrow. That’s going to be fun.
