(((Lucy Lee))), thank you, essential tremors is dh’s dx as well. He seems determined to lower his sugar intake now and work on his health.
I lost my dmother and dmil both the last couple of years and it’s very odd making our own traditions now. I’m sorry about your brother. I have 3 brothers who were the same way, not visiting. When mom went on hospice I arranged for one brother to come sit with her each Sunday so I could go with dh to visit his mom and my mom would have company. They each visited one time and then mom passed. She was so happy she got to see them that it broke my heart I had to practically beg them to come. I guess men are just different when it comes to how they handle emotional things.
We are still figuring out what to do each holiday, especially now my children are grown and out of the house. One was engaged but just broke up so at least we have a little longer before we have to manage them dividing their time among us and another family.
