Glad the outing was a success Doggedly.

Laura, I’m in Alabama, very close to Florida, dh works in Pensacola, sorry I’m not doing so great at responding today. My brain is all over the place.

Kittykatt, I’m excited but guarded, lots of steps to get there that are new to me…a long charter bus ride to Atlanta to catch a place to fly across the country to get on a boat. Seems like I’ve crammed all modes of transportation into one week. I’m nervous but should be fun. At least it’s with a group of people, some family, some familiar, so we aren’t going it alone. Enjoy your evening.

Done:
(Trash Day)
Weigh
D2S
Pet chores done
Spaghetti sauce thawing for supper, put in pot
Dw unloaded
Emptied fridge and gave dogs lots of nice treats so they love me very much
Scrubbed on bottle some more, one tiny spot about the size of a thumb nail left to go
Dh’s laundry out of dryer and sorted, folded
Brushed a bag of fur off of Beau
β™₯ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! β™₯

Hi, FrenchFly

Thanks, Kittykatt. WTG on getting the cabinet sorted out, and a contractor who is enthusiastic about the task.
Blocking off the part that you can't access sounds very practical.

I'm glad that you don't get leg cramps often either, helia. I went through a stage of getting them, and concluded that it was because I had started wearing leggings as pajama bottoms. When I went back to regular pajama bottoms, the leg cramps mostly stopped. AAAAnnddd... I've been wearing leggings under jeans yesterday and today. So I might have another visitation tonight. It's not a big deal. I wake up often to go to the bathroom anyway, so I just have to stay up and walk around a little longer.
Woo hoo on warmer weather! We have it too. Wind chill is just -14 C. And the snow only started when I was ready to come back. It's gentle snow, not that stuff that was blowing in opposite directions at the same time.

Your cuddle duds sound very practical, L.Ann.

A cruise to the north sounds so exciting, Bama!

Ah, I thought that you would have good advice on keeping warm, Gma, since you also live in a cold climate and you actually go out in it.

(((trissie))) I'm so sorry that your coworkers are like this.

Enjoy your lunch out, L.Ann.

I am at the end of Page 2. Time to stand up and do something.

Wednesday
Breakfast for Germane
Fresh water for dog
Papered her pen
Settled Germane in her pen with her charcuterie board: 3 types of dog food, a piece of potato and a slice of carrot
Went to pharmacy and got both flu and COVID vaccination.
Got advice on how to get the Shingles vaccination without a family doctor
Shopped the sales in pharmacy
Released Germane and celebrated with another spoonful of the only food that she ate

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the good wishes. Snow was messy on my way there , not too bad on the way back...
Appt. went well:) I'm good for the next 5 months. Had a nice quick lunch with DD:)
This morning, I took dpup for an hour long walk at the big store and that was a smart move. It's so cold outside that she was raising her paw... and, she is a Lab! Apparently, even colder weather is about to hit here.

trissie - so sorry it did not go well today. And, YES, a work phone you can turn off, is a great thing!
Bama happy for your cruise!
Waving to everyone! Sorry, I can't CUOP individually: another day got away from me.

Next:
rewash lol I forgot in washer
DC in second bedroom
DC in bathroom

Gather garb/rec upstairs
adv lol/start a fresh lol
feed ddog

Welcome back kitkat. I'm glad that your appointment went well.

Welcome back, L.Ann. It looks like you are pretty much set for the day, and ready to relax with your book. WTG!

It looks like you have a good setup in your cupboard, helia. Hooray for easy DPCs.

Lauralind, I think it's great that your DS is interested in trying wrestling. Two of my younger brothers were in wrestling at high school and enjoyed it very much.
It's funny how different the city looks in the dark. Not so funny when you are trying to find your way in it.

That's exciting that you got to see the Olympics in person, Gma.

That is such a good song, trissie, and apt for your work situation.

WTG on all of your Ta Das, Bama. I think that it's perfect that you are travelling with friends and family. One of my friends does his family reunions on cruises. He found that it was less expensive and more fun than flying to Louisiana.

Thanks, Kittykatt. Enyou your laptime, Matilda.

Released Germane and celebrated with another spoonful of the only food that she ate
Cleaned up after dog
Started going through bag from top of entertainment centre
Started a new garbage bag
Discarded Christmas flowers
Saved vaccine certificate
Ran upgrade on Open Office. Not sure that it took.
Worked on course for a bit
Bagged up kitchen garbage and brought it to the chute

I might just lie down for a while rather than being useful.

Dogged thank you:)
I get lots of leg cramps at night... nasty ones. Keeping legs warm seems to help.
How is Germane today?
LAnn I meant to reply the other day: my DGD also really enjoys colour blending, mixing experiments...She can spend hours observing...
Kittykatt your vets must love you: you keep up to date on vaccines, check ups with those kitties...

I think this is all for tonight.
Hope to read for a while. I see you all tomorrow:) Have a good night, everyone.

Kitkat I did follow your advice and picked up a bottle of multivitamins with magnesium while I was out. I am sorry that you have so many leg cramps. They are impossible to ignore.

kittykatt, a kitty on the lap, purring sounds delightful!
Bama, I'm flying in to Orlando. My cousins are in that area.
for those elsewhere, Orlando is not in the panhandle, but about 1/3 of the way down the long peninsula, a little east of the middle. Disney World, but not going there, although I have always been young at heart and might enjoy seeing it again. I was there when ds was 4. Don't remember much of it, other than we were there, and it was a little cooler than we had planned or hoped.
Doggedly, It takes about 2 weeks for the immunity to build up.
kitkat, sorry about the leg cramps. Does magnesium help you? It helps me. Calcium and potassium are also important. Do you do any stretching exercises? Or strengthening? Glad your appointment went well.
Laurlind, getting lost in the dark is no fun!
L.ann, the death book is a good idea - the POA is only good hwile you are alive, so this is not only a death book.

I'm going to wear a mask on the airplane. Had Covid shot in Sept, influenza, hmm right after Christmas? I just know I did it sometime. Everything has been running together timewise since mother died. So much has happened. I'm glad I kept a daily chart while we had her home.
Although I should be working on packing, I have been straightening up my office. Washed area of the floor that didn't get washed when I first worked on it. Rearranged furniture. Brought the printer back in. I have some filing to do. Then kitchen - I did some cooking today. When I get back, I'm going to focus on eating well balanced, more veggies.
1 lol of clothes wahsed, things I can take to Florida. Have to pick and choose - I'm so used to just waking up and going, OK, what to wear this morning. Something else in the afternoon for a different activity? That works well when there is a whole hosueful to choose from.
I'm thinking 3 pairs capri pants, with assorted tops, 1 or 2 long pants with tops, and a couple sweaters in case it gets cool. Shoes, sandals, slippers. Swim suit, might not get used, but doesn't take up much room. Then my calcium, magnesium, vitamins, statin, and a few personal toiletries. the charger cords and plugs for phone and watch (fitbit)! Not taking computer.
I'm checking my suitcase, and carryon with be the breads I'm baking Thursday and Friday.
What am I forgetting?
Tomorrow, another lol for the rest of the things I need to freshen up before I pack the suitcase - while the bread rises. It will be really cold here tomorrow so a good day to have the oven going to bake bread and supplement the furnace.

Thanks for the heads up about immunity, Gma. You have your trip organizing well in hand.

I've washed some dishes and I'll have another go at sorting the last bag from the top of the entertainment centre before bed.
