I don't think that you are too far north for grackles, helia. I don't know the last time that I have seen one, as I tend to see the males as "black bird" and the females as "brown bird" LOL.
I can't give any details about how the weather works, as I don't have a deeper understanding of it either. I just hang on to what details my brain can latch on to.
It sounds like Fable really enjoyed your visit with her.

Woo hoo on getting the freezer done, Kittykatt. I hope that the mould gel does its magic.

WTG on increasing the complexities of your piano abilities, Lauralind.
Boo hisssssss boo to cats who mark.

Enjoy your nice bread, L.Ann.

(((Laura))) it's so difficult to cope when cats are upset. It's late here and I'm n bed, so I think my brain will work better tomorrow, but I didn't.wamt to just "read and run".

Youve probably done all this already, but just in case:

Do you have enough resources for everyone to use without competition? (Litter trays, water bowls,.food bowls,. scratching posts etc . The preferred "rule of thumb" is 1.per cat plus one over. Ice found it helps to have a scratching post near the entrance to a room, so they mark their territory.by scratching.the post and not the furniture,.and hopefully reduces.otjer marking too.

The plug in pheremones can be very effective, but you may au have to try a couple to see which works best for your gang. Feliway do three - classic,.Friends.(specially.for multicat households) amd Optimum, but I've found the original Classic works.well.doe our gang.

If you can,.tet.and.do clean up when they're.not.around, using the special enzyme.cleaner..

Has everyone.got their own hidey hole where they can go to when they want to deliver stress and unwind? It can be anything as simple as under a.bed.

Supplements.such as Zylkene.can.be very effective.and calming.

Worst case.scenario,.when you've tried everything else, your vet can prescribe fluoxetine (Prozac) to the offender(S) It sounds as though there is a lot of I ter-feline.stress, and Prozac can help reduce that.

Good luck!

Pretty much done most of that besides any meds. I have almost enough boxes plus free access outside as lots of them go outside to do their business especially summer. Lots of little hidey spaces and yet lots of the time you can find 3 of them on our bed or 2 sharing a couch. One hides under the couch enough that there was a dark shedding spot when I moved it. Two cat trees and a board which needs replacing.

I finally mopped. The enzyme cleaner doesn't seem to stop the repeating... I mop with vinegar and dawn soap.. should help too.

Anyway my floors are as clean as they get even pulled out the couch in the office. I am so not energetic.

I'll go in half hour or so and see mom for a bit and then supper.
