Plastic topiaries sound a LOT easier to maintain, Bama, LOL. I don't normally eat duck, but this is for Germane. She is probably allergic to chicken and beef, and possibly to turkey. She seems to do well with the duck dog food, so when I saw it on sale I thought that I would make her a batch of homemade dog food.

Set up laptop to share monitor with computer

Started duck cooking for dog
Fresh kibble for dog. It turns out that while she has been snubbing her wet food, she did actually eat to day.
Bagged up kitchen garbage
Brought it to chute

Catching up with 2 days ago is definitely progress, Gma, and better than falling behind!
I think that I'll join you in the kitchen. I had planned to cook the duck overnight, but it's been going long enough that it might be cooked by now, in which case I'll take out the duck and fill the slow cooker with vegetables to cook in the broth.

That'll do for me.

Peeled and cut all of the carrots
Scrubbed and cut up all of the potatoes
Put them in the broth and put the slow cooker back on low
Gave Germane a serving of duck, which she was very enthusiastic about.
On a whim, poured the last of the white rice from the rice canister into the slow cooker
