Bama, thank you for the reminder to check if my license and health card need to be renewed this year. It's been in the back of my mind to check so that I am not surprised on my birthday.
If I have helped to lift some of the stress off of you, then I am happy.

That was nice, Kittykatt, to come home to a sandwich made by DH, and that Jude behaved so well.
Germane operates under a policy of non-compliance, but her Apoquel pill is tiny, and I have been buying double-cream Brie to wrap around it, to the satisfaction of all. She sort of tolerates my dabbing at her eyes and paws with a warm wet cloth, but still fights me on any attempt to remove knots, so she always walks around looking neglected.

The house has a way of messing itself up while we go about innocently living our lives, L.Ann, and the kitchen is the worst offender.

That's quite a miscalculation on the calorie programme's part, Gma. It's a good thing that you can calculate it yourself.

Bama, you have hit on something that I have been noticing. I read in one of those anti-procrastination things that we burden ourselves with stress by putting things off, because every time we notice the thing that needs to be done, it adds a little more to our burden of worry. The idea being that if we just do it in the first place, we avoid all of that stress. But what I keep finding is that when I do start working on the thing, I notice everything around it, and everything on the way to it and back to the garbage or the supplies that I need, and I come away with so much more self-induced stress and to dos than I started with. In theory, if I always did the thing as soon as I noticed it needed to be done, I could conceivably catch up, but I have my doubts. I am an imaginative person, and I don't think that there's a limit to the to dos that I can dream up.

I’m the same way, Dogged, I keep adding more but it’s all stuff that needs to be done. It’s not like we are creating things to do out of thin air. On my daily walks I keep thinking of more to do and writing it down here or on my calendar. If I don’t think about it, it doesn’t get done but I also don’t stress about it because I’m not thinking about it. Ergo, don’t do it, don’t even think about it and be stress free. Problem solved.
And yes, you’re very appreciated.

bama and doggedly, I see so many things that need to be done also. It is often difficult to stay on task.
I'm still working on my counters - they were pretty bad! - and the several things that needed hand washing, plus other items to the dw after I had loaded, run and unloaded already x1 today.
An attempt was made to use my credit card online last night while I was sleeping. My credit card caught it, stopped my card, and will send me a new one. Apparently there are also several virtual card numbers attached to my card, that can be used for online shopping, that are not my "real" numbers. I learned that while talking to the company. She was so helpful, removed many of those "virtual" cards so hopefully now I iwll have some idea what they are when they pop up on the rare occasion that I make an online order.
This is just a short break from my kitchen chores -
On Friday I am going to bake bread for my son's family, as he is bringing dgson home for spring break week. Baking bread is always a mess, and I need to start with a clean K, so I have room to make a new mess

Dogged, let’s enjoy Nirvana until that huge snowball of to do’s hits and wakes us up. Or maybe that’s not such a good idea. Don’t listen to me.

Gma, yay adulting. Why was I in such a hurry to grow up?
Yikes on the credit card, that’s scary. There are so many ways to be taken advantage of. Good for your cc company in catching it and helping you stop future possible problems.

I ate supper and piddled awhile. Now I’m off to flip the laundry, clean any messes, let the dogs out, shower, let the dogs in, and see if I’m up for anything else.

Bama, were you up for anything else?
I wiped off my counters
My sink is empty
I set up a towel and rinsed (years of) dust off some of the things that had been in the open area of my hutch: some clear glass, some old fashioned milkglass. They are sitting on a towel for overnight to dry, and I iwll arrange them tomorrow. Then there's a whole lot of other things that need to be wrapped and put away - somewhere - I am eating my elephant one bite at a time....
Plus some cards that I may want to put into a scrapbook, from my retirement party, now nearly 10 years ago.
A trip to Hobby Lobby needed? I need 3 years of fabric to make a round spring table cloth whenever they will have 30-40% off fabric - and I have time to uncover my sewing machine in the basement and sew pieces together, make a circle, and hem it.
(Oh and I have several doors - bedroom, bathroom, closets - that need to come off their hinges to be lightly sanded, then polyurethane varnished.
Did anyone think I would run out of projects? )

I drifted off, Gma. A trip to hobby lobby sounds fun. I love milk glass.
